Obstacle Academy - Ninja Warrior Gym

My son started attending OA about 1 year ago. His physical fitness and confidence has increased tremendously over that time. He loves the changing obstacles and timed challenges. The staff focuses on building their confidence for each obstacle and not on physically helping them do it.

Went for the first time yesterday for open gym at Eden Prairie location. 10, 13, 15 and 17 year olds. First off the young man at the desk was awesome 👍. The young lady helping in the skills area was also cheerful and helpful to the smaller ones (not in our group) who were trying some of the bigger skill areas. At first glance I was wondering how my 10 year old was going to reach some of the rings, etc but he did. They also can move around the large mats to help with hight. Some areas pushed their skills which made it all the more gratifying when they accomplished it. We grabbed a few tshirts on the way out and we will be back with some other friends in the future.

First time at OA and it's super rad. Good coaches, and everyone that works here is so dreamy. It's like a Disney Prince convention, I almost wanted to leave one of my Zantes and see if someone would bring it to me to find it's a perfect fit and then marry me. 12/10 would recommend.

First day today for my son. An admitted helicopter parent, I was anxious about today and a little grumpy when we first arrived because we had to drive through yet another snow storm. My son had a blast! It was open gym format, but he was helped by all the coaches that were there, all of whom were fun, supportive yet firm. Recommend!

My 8 yr old son has been in the team program for almost a year. The OA coaches create a structured environment for him to excel both mentally and physically.

I highly encourage folks to come check out the Ninja Team programs offered at OA. My kids love it and its a blast to watch.

My son was invited to a birthday party here and had a blast, so much that he didn't want to leave! We were equally as impressed. The staff was really fun and engaging. The gym was very clean and had a plethora of activities and obstacles for all the kids. We will for sure be having our sons birthday party here next time! I also know they have many adult and kid classes as well and am eager to find out more about them!

UPDATE: We had our son's birthday party here and had such a great time! Both coaches(Sarah and David) did a great job keeping the kids engaged. My son and his friends had such a great time! My favorite part was when Coach Sarah announced the race. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!

The place is awesome but the people are amazing! Everyone here not only wants to improve but wants to help YOU improve as well. The OA Ninjas will fill you with confidence to try new things. If you are looking for the best place to train, don’t hesitate to give Obstacle Academy a try!

I had so much fun. My son isn't super athletic so I was a little concerned he would be apprehensive but concerns faded quickly when I watched him run and attempt obstacles. He had a blast and it gave him confidence. It was cool how encouraging, supportive and friendly the staff were to my son. Great place to encourage and empower kids to be active in a creative and fun way. Highly recommend this gym.

I started on a fitness journey this past summer for the first time in my adult life. But I pretty much hate exercising and would never go to a regular gym, it's too intimidating to me. I was so bored with the typical 'working out' stuff, but then came across obstacle type training and I was hooked! It's so much fun you don't hardly notice you're working out. The instructors and classes here are really great. Everyone is so nice, and it's not an intimidating environment at all. New Years is coming up, so work towards that resolution by checking this place out. You won't regret it, and you'll probably be hooked. And feel like a kid again with all the swinging around.

I visited Obstacle Academy for the first time this week. The class was a women only Clare, which made me feel very comfortable working out at the facility. There staff was very welcoming and helpful, showing me the ins and outs of the various events. The enrollment was easy going and fun, I want worried about not being able to keep up. I really enjoyed my workout. Would highly recommend.

Our (now) 12 year old daughter joined this gym when it opened, and it has had an extremely positive influence on her life. These aren’t classes where you sign up, and are shuttled through by whatever instructor is available like health club yoga or spin classes. These are classes with dedicated instructors and teammates who encourage and cheer each other on. There is a strong emphasis on self improvement and everyone there is genuinely excited when a member accomplishes a personal goal. Through challenges and encouragement, Obstacle Academy has built our daughter’s self confidence; we’re proud to be a part of the OA family!

My son has enjoyed the summer camps and is looking forward to the classes starting next week. The coaches are great with kids and Sarah is very accommodating. We had our sons 9th birthday party at Obstacle Academy and it was perfect, so much fun for all the kids and easy for me.

I love this place. I have been regularly going to Obstacle Academy in Edina for a couple months now and it has been well worth every cent. The gym is fantastic, the coaches are incredibly friendly and personable, and the price is reasonable. I was struggling to find a fun way to become fit. I never felt like going to the gym and working out at home wasn't doing it for me. Then I found Obstacle Academy. This place is exactly what I needed. Now I can get a super killer workout while having the time of my life! Definitely worth checking out.

I have been training at Obstacle Academy for a few months. It has been a great experience seeing the gym evolve. They are constantly creating and adding new obstacles to challenge athletes of all skill levels. The staff is amazing and they do a great job training everyone from kids trying it for their first time to challenging advanced athletes to test their limits. Their number one priority is always safety and it is easy to see with the construction of their equipment and their placement of mats and pads. I would highly recommend checking out Obstacle Academy.

I have been training at Obstacle Academy for over a year now. I go once a week and it is so much fun! My focus is training for obstacle course racing. All of the instructors are so friendly and knowledgeable! I have learned so much and gained so much strength with my grip and on all of the obstacles since I have started. They have classes for all levels of athletes from beginners to advanced. The class I attend on Wednesday led by Sarah is very challenging, so if you are looking to go to the next level, come and check it out!

For a first time Warrior gym day, I was impressed with the facility and willingness of the staff and a couple of veteran kids to help out grand kids figure out how to maneuver through the course.

Obstacle Academy is an amazing place. The coaches are super friendly, experienced, and helpful. Also the gym had a large variety of different obstacles for all levels of ninjas. On of my favorite parts was the bouldering area. I am an avid climber and was impressed with the quality and upkeep of the routes. My overall experience of the Obstacle Academy was great and I will for sure be coming back.

Kids had a blast at my son's 7th birthday! Staff was great and very patient with a bunch of crazy boys who were too excited to stop moving. Will be looking into classes or open gym for my oldest in the future.

We signed our daughter up about a month ago for the 5-6 year old class. We’ve all loved it. Sarah and her coaches do a great job and the gym has lots to keep our daughter moving.
