What a charming place with great food! After an afternoon of walking the area my wife and I stopped at Pekadill’s for a sandwich. We are glad we did. My wife got a beef sandwich on rye and loved it. I got their rendition of a Reuben called a Steuben (I believe). It was great!
Outdoor dining was great!
No particular reason for the 4 star on service outside of the fact you order at a counter, pick up your sides as you walk to cashier then go find your seat. Sandwiches are then brought to you.
Please stop in and try this informal dinning experience !

Very beautiful place to stop by for lunch. The food was fantastic and very plentiful. We loved eating in the back outside area and being able to bring our dog is a huge plus.

Pekadill’s is a local favorite and a must for tourists! The quality of the food is always consistently excellent and the portions are substantial. My favorite soup is creamy chicken tortellini, favorite sandwich is the Sueben on a croissant, and when I want a healthy Whole30 meal, I get the Super Salad and sub out the cheese and dressing for extra green olives. Everything here is so good! Summer is extra special because they offer barbecue ribs and chicken breast and cheesy potatoes. They are the best ribs I’ve ever had! This place never disappoints!

A great sandwich shop that always stacks their sandwiches high with delicious meats, cheeses, and vegetables. Their soups are also fantastic too. Also during the summer their outdoor seating area out back is perfect for enjoying the wonderful weather while having some great food and enjoying the company of your friends.

Pekadill's will be a spot we visit every time we are in town.

Went at 2:30 on a Saturday and it was only a short wait before they took our order at the counter. A steady pace of customers walked in and easily filled out the front room, backroom and large outdoor patio seating. The place was very clean and well staffed that kept themselves busy. You order food and continue down the line to grab chips and a drink. There you will pay and get a number card for them to run the food to your table.

Unfortunately, we had dinner in 3 hours and didn't want to gorge. Well, I did eat this pretty heavy French Dip that I had to try after looking at the quality of what others were eating. After having many disappointing French Dips at diners on the East Coast, this was quite the surprise. I'd be shocked if they didn't roast the beef in-house. Tender, perfectly sliced and seasoned. I ordered a side of horseradish which rounded out the sandwich nicely. 5/5

My wife a had the veggie pocket and enjoyed it, but said it could have used a bit of a vinegary element.

We will save room for ice cream next time as their selection looks pretty impressive with 20+ flavors.

Lovely place for a lunch! The outdoor garden area is so peaceful and the food is delicious. Been here multiple times, but today we split the roast beef sandwich and potato salad! *Chefs kiss*

Wonderful place to eat! The garden seating is so beautiful and the tables are arranged in a way to make it as private or communal as you want. The sandwiches and sides are delicious and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I would love to go near dusk to see the lights shining in their waterfalls.

Enjoyed lunch in the outdoor garden. Busy little place…for good reason. Friendly customer service, prompt delivery of tasty food and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We stopped at this quaint place as a recommendation from my sister. We were touring scenic Lakeshore drive from N.Muskegon to Montague while reminiscing our childhood days. We now live in Atlanta but grew up in the Whitelake area nearly 40 years ago. Unfortunately, no pictures of the food but we did pick up some soup to go (for Mom) and my wife and I shared a Sueben --very good, especially with the coleslaw. Wish we had more time to enjoy their patio seating. Stop by if you are in the area; like us, you wil enjoy a nostalgic moment with good food!

We had the ice cream one night and then came back for ribs & chicken the next time, plus ice cream! Perfect little spot to stop with dinner or lunch and dessert! Service is fast & friendly - food is really good! Ice cream also great! The garden is a lovely place to sit and eat and is dog friendly!

First time in today . Loved every bit of it. From the food to staff and there outstanding back yard patio. One of the local recommend going here for lunch. It was a nice stop after the art n craft show. And relax before heading home.
I think I will make plans to come back.

What a find! We were traveling with our dog and just happened to be near this place at lunchtime. It is October and a lot of places have closed down for the year. This one has an awesome selection of sandwiches , quick service and a really nice garden area with tables. Dogs are allowed in the garden and they have water out for them .

I had a 6” French Dip (3 sizes available) and hubby had a beef sandwich on rye. Both were excellent! Will definitely stop here next trip!

I had their French dip sandwich it might have been the best French dip sandwich I've ever had. I'll be back to try other things off their menu.

Visiting Whitehall, MI and wasn't sure where to go to eat so a family member suggested Pekadill's. We were not disappointed. This quaint, deli style restaurant is a little off the beaten path but not hard to find at all. The service was very friendly and fast. The food was excellent and the "backyard" is a beautiful place to eat (weather permitting). There are tables on the inside as well, they even clean up after you're through. Stick around for ice cream after you're done with lunch/dinner.

From the atmosphere to the food the whole experience was amazing.
Very friendly staff and the food was fresh and delicious.
I had the sueben and Baja soup. I highly recommend it.

The Reubin sandwich is absolutely delicious as are their salads.
Stop by and enjoy a great meal.... BYI :Their ice cream is very good. I live right around the corner and find Pekadill's an easy short drive for me which gives me a reason to have a meal and to have desert.

PS: I am an afficinado of ice cream .... their dark red cherry ice cream is my favorite , but any flavor will do it for me.
They have a beautiful outdoor garden of which the owner maintains this area herself.
This garden makes your meal with friends and family very enjoyable !

Amazing lunch stop. Fantastic people. Beautiful backyard dinning. Try the Beef Dip!

This is a fun, peaceful, beautiful setting. The food is really good, though slightly pricey. All of it is worth it when you step into the back where the garden is. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And, I'll say it again, the food is very good.

We got there just before they closed and we're so happy we made it, it did not disappoint! The staff were super nice and helpful. We had a turkey club wrap, a hot ham and cheese, Broccoli cheese soup, butternut squash bisque, potato salad, and coleslaw and every bit of of it was delicious and fresh.
