John and Jerry are the most compassionate and professional funeral directors that I have ever met. I am a reverend; however, my interaction with them was for a family member’s service. As a reverend, I have engaged with a large number of fine establishments- Kaatz is quite simply the absolute best. Truly one of a kind funeral home. The staff at the Richmond location are warm and sincere. Their staff did a fine job of ensuring all the details (big and small) were managed and anticipated for. Every staff member was very thorough with their work, responded with a timely manner. Very easy to work with. Would give them more stars if I could.

Dick and ALL the staff there are the kindest, most compassionate group of people I have ever met. Nothing was impossible....anything we needed was made available....
The funeral home itself is beautiful...very warm and calming. There are several rooms where family members can go to have a quiet moment to themselves. All arrangements were made for us by John Kaatz...everything was taken care of...the service was beautiful. Many compliments were given to the family afterwards. Any funeral is a heart breaking event but it was made so much easier by the Kaatz family and staff.

I have enjoyed working with the Kaatz Funeral Home Directors and staff on a professional basis. I have always observed a very upscale and polished funeral home presence while visiting the funeral home.
