I’m not the type to leave reviews but I have to say this place is amazing. The hostess and our server Carlos were very welcoming and always around if we needed anything. The food was very good especially the steak bowl special. And for desert the tres leches dessert was outstanding. i’ll 100% come again and will recommend my family and friends to come.

Wow. I’ve lived in Hawthorne for almost 6 years and struggle to bring myself to mutter the words “let’s go eat in Ridgewood.” Idk. Feels like a chore.

So, this evening, when I was hellbent on eating a pie of some sort (it’s Pi Day, people), I decided to eat at a restaurant featuring a locally famous chicken pot pie…that’s apparently closed (no web updates, even called 3 times to hear a voicemail tell some lies…ugh Covid aftermath world.)

Since already in Ridgewood scoping out the place that’s closed, I figured I’d find another delicious looking place in town and eat with or without pie. After noticing Cravings - which I definitely drooled over online before (but never physically step foot into), I said you know what, it’s time.

And again…wow. Every single thing we tried was next level. First dish…onion rings. How can onion rings be mind blowing?!? They were. The pulpo….perfection. The Philly cheesesteak empanadas…don’t bother going to Philly ever cause it ain’t worth the ride - and guess what that’s a HAND PIE π!!! And the gnocchi…I’ve never had a more perfect pillowy cloud-like gnocchi…it’s like what they talk about on the food network that the iron chefs make and you think…I’ll never eat anything that good in my life. You will. Come here.

Can’t wait to return to try the rest of the menu!!!

This is one of my favorite places for a girls night out . I love the small plates / tapas -you can order anything from the menu and it won’t disappoint ever . BYOB and they will make a sangria with your wine/ love that option as well..

Beautiful intimate romantic kind of restaurant. The food was done right, with style and flare. Flavors are bright, and the lights are low.
The service was clear and on it. Great experience overall. We Will be back.

We were at Cravings Tapas for a live music performance by Gizem in early March when te restaurant was reserved for I’m guessing 80-100 diners. This bistro is full of warmth and hospitality was top level, starting with its owner Ms. Stani and her dedicated wait staff. The portions are as generous as the variety offered on the menu, ensuring that every diner leaves satisfied. But it wasn’t just about the food for us; we enjoyed Gizem’s live music which added another layer of charm to our experience. With performances ranging from French and Turkish melodies to English classics and even Persian and Indian songs, it was so much fun. Back to Craving Tapas: everything was delicious! And we tried over 15 different items from the menu at our table of four. Last but not the least is about the kitchen staff: kudos to its hard working crew and the chef for pushing out hundreds of tapas to dining room full to the brim without any delays. Not an easy feat. Very well done! See you soon. Oh and it’s BYOB.

Ok first and foremost the service! I mean what the heck? The service is beyond what you get almost anywhere. Amazing greeting and you are made to feel so welcomed and at home. Then we need to speak about the food. Loved it wholeheartedly and are returning Sundays for their Tapas World Tour.

A small space in which they make you feel as comfortable as at home. Excellent attention from the staff, to whom I give a 10/10.
The best sangria in the town.
They served white and red sangria, both are good, but I prefer the red.
Delicious and fresh gambas, also excellent and delicious parmesan eggplant.
My third tapas in my selection is Mexican chicken breast.
The Napoleon is my favorite dessert.

The food and atmosphere is always amazing, but our waiter and the floor manager were OUTSTANDING. We didn’t even have to ask for things, they just knew!!! We will come back for sure. The food is so good and everyone is so welcoming!

It was a great dinner.
All the food was on par with NYC restaurants.
Their sangria is to die for.
Looking forward to going back.

So glad this place was recommended to me while I'm staying in NJ for the summer. I was told you could find restaurants comparable to NYC if you know where to look and this was a winner. Came at the end of a big party that had reserved the whole place which they were cleaning up from, but the woman in charge graciously accommodated us coming in without reservations and with our 3 year old in tow. Everything we ordered was fantastic, including grilled octopus, mussels, and sooo many empanadas. One review here says it's not exactly like tapas in Spain, but that's fine by me! I found food around Spain to often be bland. The "Spanish" food I grew up with was all from Latin America and the Caribbean, so I was surprised to find it was so different. But the flavor here was bursting with every dish we had-- and all very different. It's exactly what I love about this style of meal no matter the country of origin: little bites of a variety of textures and flavors.
The service was also really good. Our waiter was absolutely charming. He even took it in stride when he asked us if we were interested in dessert and my toddler scolded him because he hadn't finished dinner yet. Lovely people and lovely food! An all around perfect dinner experience.

Great little place with wonderful service and tasty food. We tried 5 different dishes, all which were delicious. The potato with spicy sausage dish was my favorite. The napoleon for dessert I highly recommend. So crispy and light. Cappuccino at dessert was piping hot in a nice big mug. Service was outstanding. Will definitely be back here again.

Great place for tapas, many options to choose from. The place is busy but the service is great. There is an outside sitting area too. Street parking depending on the day and time but there is also meter parking. The best part, is a BYOB and they also have liquor (very small selection).

This is one of those situations where I don't want to write a great review so less people know about this place. I want it all for myself. So, please don't go. The unbelievable food will no doubt leave you unsatisfied. The amazing people and service will leave you wishing they were nicer. The delicious wines were all corked. Avoid at all costs.

First time here, moms night out and it was great! The portions were big and soo delicious! I highly recommend the Bronzino, Mussles & Chorizo, Tuna Tartar and Hummus/Eggplant spread. We ordered (5) items between two of us and it was plenty! They are BYOB but offer 1/2 and full bottles of wine and sangria. We ordered a white wine for the white sangria and was very tasty! The service was excellent, the vibe was really cool. If your looking for a casual place with great food, I highly recommend it!

Cozy vibes in here and the food is great. I didn't know much about tapas so going in I thought I wouldn't be able to get full. I was wrong.

Food was amazing!!! All the dishes had such depth of flavor. I'm always worried about the portions at tapas places, but to my surprise their portions were very decent. I went with a group of 5 girls and we ordered 7 dishes as well as dessert and sangria (a must!). Everyone left extremely happy. Can't wait to go again and bring my husband!!

Everything from the entree to dessert was delicious. If you bring your own wine they'll even make it sangria for you! Pricy but very worth the cost.

Our first time at Cravings (love their sister restaurant Fincas) and we were pleasantly surprised. Loved the atmosphere and each dish was delicious, our favorites were the paella, Gorgonzola spread, amazing onion rings and unique napoleon dessert!! We had the hardest working and busiest waitress named Paola and her male assistant?? but always made time for us and with a smile, charm and good recommendation! Thank you!!
