Michal's Boots & Shoe Repair

Very nice shop. This is a cute, old shop on main Street. We took my boyfriend's cowboy boots in to redo the soles and they did a very nice job. I think it actually looked better than when we bought them new. The people there were also very nice.

I have brought items to Michal’s multiple times and I have always been happy with his work. I really like Haflinger’s but the sole isn’t very sturdy. He removed the sole and added a Birkenstock sole. Even though I only wear these shoes inside, I still want them to last. Thank you for your excellent work!

Great service! I went to the shop to see about getting an eyelet replaced in a pair of shoes because it was shredding my laces. Michal got out a screw driver and twisted the eyelet so that the rough part was down and out of the way when pulling on the lace to tie it. He offered to replace the eyelet if I preferred. The screwdriver fix was free. The replacement would have been $10.

Michael provides exceptional customer service and the quality of his work is exceptional as well.
I highly recommend his business not only for shoe repair but anything leather. Need a patch sewed on your leather or your chaps cut to the proper length? This is the place. Mike rides too so he understands and takes great care of your items.

I brought a pair of my riding boots to Michal that I had resoled April 2020 at a shop south of the cities, they did not even last the riding season.
Michal completely rebuilt the sole of my boots and now will likely last through the next two riding seasons. He went above and beyond what I anticipated! Highly recommended for quality work on your favorite boots!

I went to Michal's Boot and Shoe repair needing to get my heel taps fixed in an emergency situation...or at least for me it was. I have a funeral I need to go to and pull out the shoe's I want to wear to see the heel taps are crumbling. I haven't been to a shoe repair shop in a number of years. I googled place's and see great reviews for Michal's. I went in, told the gentleman my situation and said I needed them asap. He told me to have a seat 10 minutes later he walked out with my shoes looking fabulous. He even shined them up. Thank you for saving me in my time of need. I would definitely go back to have other work done!

Trust me, this place is the place to go for shoe repair. I own a sneaker store but not a shoe repair store. From one business owner to the next the service is amazing and the work is like the good ol days! Places like these are hard to find let alone far and few between! This place is a gem, a true jewel! Michael listens, he is honest, professional and I love his show room floor full of antiques. It’s like a walk down memory lane! Thank you so much Micheal for your help with my boots. He stretched them out, a new pair of leather boots can be hard to break in. Micheal really helped them fit so nicely. This shop has been around I think 60 years and I know why. Located in Osseo on Main Street , trust me when I say it is worth the trip and the price you cannot beat! The funny part, is that the owner (Michael) didn’t know anything about reviews on google or reviews online in general, it’s a new error …it wasn’t until I mentioned it to him and actually showed him the stars people leave his business on google and that’s how I found this shop, he was amazed in a great way and some what speechless lol So needless to say, I did this review because I felt it needed to be done and I wanted to share my experience and because it’s heart felt! You all need to try this place!

I've been taking my shoes and boots in for repair to Michal's since they were in Brooklyn Center, and that was a long time ago! To be honest, I've never had repairs done elsewhere, so I can't compare them to other places, but I have no reason to shop around. Excellent work, and always offers good advice on leather care!

I've always tried to buy good quality leather shoes and try to take care of them. Rather than toss an comfortable pair away because the soles are worn I'd rather get them resoled and keep the comfort level. Michal's has done excellent work in this regard for me over the years. I recently brought in a pair of 10" Matterhorn boots I bought decades ago and was blown away at how great they now look. These guys have serious skills!

I work the Renaissance Festival and had to have my gauntlets repaired. They were actually better than the originals that I bought. Michael did an excellent job. I absolutely recommend him for leather work. I am extremely happy with the quality and price. High quality and very reasonable price!

Michael did an excellent job on my work clogs and my Birkenstock sandals. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

I took my bowling shoes in for a toe area sole replacement on my drag foot. I had been to another shoe repair first, and was told they didn't do bowling shoes, but Michal's in Osseo did. I brought the shoe in, the man said "no problem", and that it would be ready in about a week. The repair was from about the ball of the foot and forward, and had to have some blending done since the factory sole had a taper to it. I really didn't know what to expect, but was very hopeful. I picked the shoes up yesterday (this was exactly when he said they would be ready), and not only was the shoe repaired, but it looked awesome! I couldn't be happier with the results. I will find out tomorrow how it works in action, but I don't anticipate any problems. It sure beats having to buy a brand new pair of shoes!
Update: The shoe felt great and worked great!😁

I bring all my boots to Michael's Boot shop. His work has extended the life on my work boots and my favorite pair of cowboy boots. He can do anything from swapping out a tread patterns for better traction, to repairing the worn out heals of your boots. When I get my boots back, it's like I have a new pair of boots, but at a fraction of the cost. And best of all, they are already broken in because they are my boots! I'll continue to do business with Michael's as long as his shop is open.

Michal's was able to bring my favorite pair of boots back to life. I waited so long to have these boots worked on after a different place ruined the fit of a different pair of boots. After the repair at Michal's my boots fit like a glove, or in this case a boot. I could not be happier!!!

This rating is overdue by a few months.

I had a fanny pack that needed re-stitching. I was just passing thru town. I only had one day to get the thing fixed. Went in and explained the situation. The owner (I assume) was very friendly and understanding. He agreed to have the work done the next day though he was very busy with other orders.

The work was done as promised and it was great quality work.

I have taken several pairs of my pumps here to Michal over the years. He always retips the heels, cleans up the dings and has even stretched brand new heels to fit so they don't pinch or rub.

His prices are reasonable, and my shoes have always been done on-time. I recommend him to all my friends, especially my friends who wear high heels daily.

Just got my boots back today. I've done busines with this man several times and every single time im blown away. The work is always better than I expected. If you want it done right don't go anywhere else. Even if you don't need new soles bring em in. He'll put new soles that are better than truck tires. Im a biker and he's made my cowboy boots and combat boots indestructible to the road.

I have been going to Michaels for 40 years. He is awesome and does quality work. He can fix anything leather.
