Wish I cud give more stars… A very underrated place in a nice little corner in Iselin/Edison. Awesome food, great quantity and great taste. A unique menu of great tasting cocktails as well. The menu is not very elaborate however the food is definitely very good. Had a great time! Definitely will visit again!

Lots of vegetarian options in appetizers, main course. Loved the ambience and food choices. Tastes really fresh and authentic. Will come back just for the kind of love that goes into the food preparation

Very tasty food with nice presentation. I got the butter chicken with the chili garlic naan and masala fries. The naan was more on the crispier side than doughy but that was a nice twist in my opinion. Great flavor and nice vibe!

Amazing food! Never had Chicken Tikka like this before in US, Absolutely delicious! Staff is very friendly. Service was great too. I will definitely stop by again. Ordered Masala Papad, Chicken gravy and Naan too, everything just reminded me of authentic Indian food.

Pomfret fish tandoori was really good and definitely recommended. Also goat sukha was tasty as appetizer.

One of the best place to Dine with Drinks for families and group of friends, excellent choice of drinks , cocktails, mock tails , beer and scotch. Food and service is too good , will definitely come back . Speciality appetizers for drinks are awesome, try paneer chili , Peanut salad and chicken sukha ..

This place is a must visit. The ambience is very good. Cleanliness and hygiene is well maintained. The food is very delicious. My personal favourite is chicken lollypop. The drinks are very good too. Definitely recommended.

I think the best chapati I have ever had in any indian restaurant. The order was just an order of roti and dal tadka but they gave raita as well as pickle.

My inaugural visit was truly delightful. I liked the warm welcome and the exceptional treatment I received. The cuisine was exquisite and prepared with precision. The ambiance and background music added to the overall charm. I look forward to returning.

Pleasantly surprised. There wasn't a single person in the restaurant at 3:00 pm when we walked in, while the restaurant next door was packed. We came in anyways.. the food was very well prepared and we loved the taste. The chicken dum biriyani is heavenly. Staff was very cordial, and accommodating of any requests. Definitely recommended !

Very nice place with great ambitious. Staff are very friendly and hospitality is awesome. I tried mostly all food from menu and it's all dishes are are very tasty and fabulous!! I'm in US from last 15 years and I tried all restaurants but this is top of the town I had like in my whole entire life. I suggest to all of my friends and family must visit for your relative, friends or family. It's worth with money wise !! Where you spend your quality time.

Nice cozy place - service is just right. Staff like to give you space to have your conversations while enjoying the time. Our go-to there every now and then for a quick drink/snacks. Food is good, we normally order chicken and mutton dishes. Masala papad, rosted peanuts, plain peanuts etc..(chakna)

It's a sports bar, but the food is spectacularly delicious. We ordered goat biryani, shrimp with gongura leaves (sorrel), and bhindi masala, and all 3 were great. The shrimp is not a dish I've had before, and was a lovely surprise. The crispy okra and fish Koliwada appetizers were also excellent, the first mandolined thin and deep-fried, with a delicious chutney.

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in Edison NJ. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. If you’re a foodie and specially if you love Punjabi Tadka, they got some great taste for you. I would definitely recommend you to try this place for once.

We went to Ruby Ke (Amboy Ave, Edison), but we're turned away because we didn't have a reservation. We then tried Shazan (Oak Tree Road, Edison) but it is gone. A quick web search turned up FIFTEEN38, so we tried it.

The place was mostly empty. The waiter advised us that not everything on the menu was available. He brought complimentary papadum and chutneys - on paper plates. Paper plates?! Had we stumbled into a too casual, low quality restaurant? The mango lassi came in a plastic cup and may have been pre-made. This set my expectations pretty low.

But the papdum was crispy and the chutneys we're very tasty. We got the veg biryani and chicken tikka masala. My wife doesn't care for Indian cuisine but indulges me occasionally. She tried the tikka masala and liked it. It may be the best I've ever had. The chicken was cut into smaller pieces than is typical and the curry was extra rich.

All in all, 1538 is definitely a place I would return to.

So we arranged my friend’s surprise birthday here yesterday. The service and food were excellent. They made us feel very comfortable and went above and beyond to accommodate our wishes. They started karaoke for us and let us stay little after their operating hours as well. Food and drinks were amazing!! Highly recommend specially for private parties 👌👌👌

The appetizers and entrees were really good and authentic. Loved the garlic naan and the masala peanuts in particular.

We went there to celebrate a friend’s birthday and were really impressed by the hospitality and the willingness of the whole staff to help us celebrate. They went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Food and drinks were very good too. Would highly recommend this place if you want good Indian food and drinks or if you’re celebrating a special small occasion!

Drinks are great. Hours can be better. Should stay open longer. I liked the old name. Should think of adding outdoor seating.
