The Kimchi Jeon was very well done! The Kimchi and all the other banchan side dishes were delicious and tasty. I'm glad to see so many options for soju and makgeolli too!

We got Groupon for two and it was value for money. While selecting appetizers, problem is if you don't eat beef you are left with only choice of seafood pancake. Hotpot portion was good enough to serve three actually.

* No frills restaurant
*Crowd is good, you can go with family or friends.
* Hotpot was Yuumy , portion was good
*Side dishes tested really good
* It's a good idea to go with Groupon(For 2 we end up paying around $ 40 including tax and tips)

One of my new favorite places I discovered. Very generous portions for really good prices. I had the $12 seafood soup with hand pulled noodles. I had been dying to get hand pulled noodles for months, and the bowl is big enough for 2 people, so very satisfied. My gf had the beef tofu soup for $12, which was also for about 2 people. In addition, they give freebies.

Also, was thrilled to go for the conveyor belt sushi. Great service overall!

Can't wait to go back!

The pork bone casserole with the aged kimchi is beyond amazing. Their different barbecue combos are good deals. The restaurant has a casual family oriented vibe along with good service. True, the table for 2 is on the smaller size, but you should judge it on the food quality, taste, and service, which Muk Eun Ji excels in. Highly recommended.

My favorite Korean restaurant in K-town. It really differentiate itself from other Korean restaurants by having specialty in kimchi. Muk Eun Ji has a selection of Kimchi dishes and everything I tried was very tasty. Kimchi Casserole with Pork Backbone is two thumbs up. Great service too.

Holy Korean jesus, does this place make some of the best bibimbap in Manhattan.

If bibimbap isn't your thing, there's plenty of traditional Korean choices on the menu. I'm a fan of their blood soup - not the best summer choice, I know - a hearty[1] treat. Their jaeyook bokum - spicy pan-fried pork with veggies - is also filling.

Whatever you get, their banchan will keep you amused. And you get yogurt drinks for dessert. Free. Their kimchi is also cut generously, and fermented for maximum impact.

Muk Eun Ji is a low-key spot for any meal, lunch or otherwise. They sport lunch specials, and last I was there, they had check-in specials too. Fast kitchen, fast service. There's KBBQ available, but I never ventured down that path.

Pork BBQ done right! Get pork here with "muk eun ji", which is over-fermented kimchi. It counters the greasy pork BBQ well and when you wrap it with lettuce or slices of radish, it's really delicious.

Their steamed eggs is also very good.

I'd recommend going here with a Korean-speaking person.

Tasty and affordable considering the large portions. Very friendly service. Superb kimchi and spices. The seafood bibimbap is almost enough for two, and very delicious!

Try the Kimchi Soup. It was out of this world. Remember back in Korea, mother's Kimchi Soup? Pork was bit too big for my taste but it was great. Soup yah!!!! If you want authentic Korean food, then this is the place.

They are fast, reasonably priced and a little cheaper than similar places in ktown, serve tasty food, and take credit cards! What's not to like. :)

The kimchi is to die for and it's the only place I can find flavored makgeolli (Korean rice wine).
