Broadway Bridge (NYC)

This bridges connects The Bronx with Manhattan. I've walked and biked along this bridge a few times. It was a nice walk/ride. The bridge is of course aged, so there is quite a bit of rumbling that you'll feel when walking from the cars and busses passing by. There's also the 1 Train that passes, so you'll feel from that as well. You can get a nice view of the Henry Hudson Bridge from the side that goes towards Manhattan.

Lovely view. Not good for bikes or loitering. Easy to walk across to get to Manhattan.

Here is the bridge from a different view. I've never walked or driven across it, only passed under it.

It got me from the Bronx to Inwood, and I didn't have to swim across the river or wait until the winter freeze to cross the ice on foot. There was no toll and it was completely free of trolls. Thanks Broadway Bridge!

Although this has already been my neighborhood for over a decade, I still go on miniadventures as if it's all brand new to me 💟😎👍

Best way to get from Inwood to the Bronx, hands down!

Walk, bike, drive or ride it's a gateway to the conveniences of Kingsbridge for all of us in northern Inwood. Those other bridges got nothing on the Broadway crossing - plus you get to go to Target once you're on the other side.
