ZACA CAFE

I’ve gotten delivery from here a couple times and the food was always good so I decided to dine in for brunch.
Ordered the Zaca Platter which had a little bit of everything: eggs, grits with cheese, bacon, toast, and fresh greens. Portion size was generous and filling. I really enjoyed the fresh green sauce that came on top of the grits! It had a nice acidity and freshness that balanced out the richness of the grits.
The woman taking the orders was also running food, bussing tables, and seating guests, yet service remained quick and efficient throughout the afternoon rush. Atmosphere was comfortable and laid back.
Only drawback was that there is a charge for re-fills on drip coffee but overall a solid experience.

One sentence - very cozy neighborhood breakfast spot. African decor was great too as don't see that too often in cafe's. Everything I had was delicious. Tried french toast with caramelized blueberries/bananas/apple and then tried a bit of pancakes with pecans/walnuts from my date. Also cappuccino was spot on. Only minor ding was the wait for food once seated, but we were there right when restaurant opened.

Best kale Cesar salad and veggie burger I have ever had. Plus the Parmesan grits and tomato jam on the Zaca plate was delicious. Highly recommend if you are looking for a cute spot with really nice quality food.

A gem of a cafe! The food took a little long but when it arrived it was worth it. We had the chai latte, Zaca platter, scrambled eggs with home fries and French toast. All was good abs loved the decor and ambiance. Service was very sweet and attentive! Great prices too

I had brunch here with my partner on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The host, Vanessa, was very friendly, efficient, and personable. Turns out they were also taking orders, bringing out food, and making coffee. I’m not sure if they were short staffed, but they were buzzing around the pleasantly decorated cafe. It was busy, but the food was worth the wait. I ordered the fried mustard chicken with scallion waffle and after drizzling maple syrup, I basically scarfed it down. My partner enjoyed the ham and Swiss croissant. The roasted potatoes were well seasoned with peppers and onions. I definitely recommend brunch and the dinner menu sounds tasty as well. I’ll be back!

Very cozy and comfortable brunch place with friendly staff and delicious food. Ordered a pancake meal with grits on the side which were much better than expected! Usually grits aren't too tasty from restaurants but this place knows how to season their food so well. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for sweet and savory breakfast, brunch, or dinner!

It's such a great place to dine! I loved the environment and people. The food was incredible. I ordered the Zaca Beef Burger with home fries, and it was so delicious. The beef patty was thick and juicy. They serve very good portions, and you would leave satisfied, I enjoyed my dining experience.

Perfect place for lunch in Bed-Stuy. Tasty and hot chicken soup with bread at a great price ($8 plus tax and tip.) Service was outstanding and the music and atmosphere was excellent.

I’ve only been here for dinner but the food is really good! Always a warm and friendly atmosphere. Feels like a home cooked meal, nourishing and delicious. Definitely my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood!

This place is wonderful! We stopped by for brunch and everyone in the family was happy. Staff were great and the atmosphere was fun. We had the salmon and capers bagel along with the chicken panini - both were awesome. We also had the ham and swiss croissant which was a huge hit too. We are only here for two days so we want to try other places - but the kids want to go back tomorrow and try something else!

Love this place, it always caught my eye whenever I walked by and I’m excited I finally stopped by. Weekend brunch goes until 3, unfortunately we just missed it but the lunch/dinner menu isn’t that much different. Simple food done well. The fries tasted handcut and there’s a huge portion. Zaca burger comes with sautéed onion and mushroom. Strawberry lemonade was good but very sweet, not complaining because after mixing it with plenty of water it ended up being a very good quantity lol. Really laidback but attentive service. We weren’t rushed in the slightest and the ladies here are so nice. Music was on point omg!

Stop searching for your perfect breakfast experience, and just go here! We sat outside on a sunny fall morning, with Inoussa as our lovely server (and possibly cook?), and all was wonderful. This veggie avocado toast with poached eggs was exactly as I hoped.

All great things take time. This is slow food done right. So yes you will have to wait for the best grits and the best chicken and waffles. But it’s oh soo worth it ! The Parmesan grits are as good as they get, the perfect Combo of texture and salt. They deliver but so so much better in person. Go hungry with friends. Also pretty kid friendly!

Got the salmon sandwich- it was excellent. Great food and a lovely place. Highly recommend.

Love Zaca Café. My girlfriend and I come here often for Sunday brunch. Everybody working here is super nice, it takes a little bit to get your food, but there is a really good reason behind it: the kitchen crew cooks with love and that needs some time. Everything I tries so far is super yummy and portions are very generous :)

This place is just what the neighborhood needed. I'm still yet to have a bad bite or sip of anything, the atmosphere is inviting, and the staff - though busy - is warm and friendly. The hangar steak panini is one of the best sandwiches I've had in Bed-Stuy, the Zaca platter is a perfect "this week has been ROUGH" Saturday brunch meal to make you feel healthy and satisfied, and every carb from croissant to waffle has been perfect. The decor feels distinctly cross cultural, as a strong West African motif dances with a few "new Brooklyn" fixtures, like a changing chalk-marker menu wall, and Edison-bulb hanging lights. With great prices, a great atmosphere, black-ownership, and delicious food, this place is an absolute treat, and quickly becoming one of my neighborhood favorites for a sit-down down meal or a couple hours of laptop work.

My favorite place to go to close to home. Varied menu with options for most (I’m gluten free and pescatarian and can at least find two options at any given time), friendly service, ample outdoor seating, fair prices, and welcoming to my dog. My favorites are their brunch options and the walnut goat cheese salad (so big it beats sweet green!). Pictured is my friends kale salad.

Great place for brunch! Home style cooking with healthy portions. Really good value and quality of meals for the price. Definitely should be considered a staple in your Sunday line up around the neighborhood!
