Comtex - CCTV, Access Control & Business Telephone Systems

I have been a customer of Comtex for many years and have called upon them to provide phone services for 3 different employers. All the technicians are professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. This is a boutique business which knows how important communication is for any business. Experience is on their side and they work like a well oiled machine. Our experience with Comtex was great. We needed data wiring with a mix of existing pathways and new pathways. Comtex was able to accurately quote and quickly schedule the work to be done. The technicians were punctual, professional, and knowledgeable about their trade. Would highly recommend the reliable work of Comtex.

I worked with Cheryl, Barry, Hiro and Willy for our project.
We needed about 20 IP phones and about 35 dual and quad cable drops (around 130 network wires) for a 7,500 foot building in New Jersey.

Cable Drops:
I got on the phone with Barry and discussed my network project with him. I met him in person at 29 Poplar Street and he was extremely polite. I came in prepared with a layout of my building showing where I wanted cable drops and he was quick to assess and suggest solutions based on my needs. Shortly after, he helped with signing any permit
paperwork (because New Jersey is strict!) and we scheduled a day for the cables to be installed.

Hiro and Willy came on site and worked for 5 business days straight to get the cabling in and they did a fantastic job! They explained to me exactly what they were doing and made sure to consult me whenever they had questions on faceplate placement. They even gave great suggestions and advice, never pushing a cable drop if it wasn't necessary

IP Telephony (VoIP):
Cheryl is an absolutely amazing and honest person to work with. We were discussing plans for a IP Phone system that would serve our business needs. She worked tirelessly to make sure that we were getting exactly what we need with a Mitel sytem; nothing more nothing less. After finally narrowing down the system. She generated a 10 page quote detailing exactly what we were getting (systems, capabilities, prices etc)

Even after a week of discussing back and forth on phone systems, and with Cheryl pouring in so much time and effort into a quote, I regrettably had to refuse because our parent company told us last minute that they wanted to go with a Cisco IP phone system for compatibility. What did Cheryl do? She gave me her blessing and even gave suggestions on how I
should deal with some of the companies I'm working with!

I truly do regret that Comtex will not be servicing our phone system because the company really has some great people. (but I'm glad they did our wires cause it was a clean job!)

It is easy to write this review because I have never had a higher quality partner in business. The service after the sale at Comtex is second to none. My company has used Comtex for over 10 years for our telecommunications needs and their service and professional has always been exceptional. We are small business that relies heavily on telecommunication to attract and retain customers. I strongly recommend them if you are considering them for any of your telecommunications needs

This is the way all service used to be and is missing from other companies but Comtex has managed to stay current with technology without losing the charm of treating others the way they would like to be treated.

I purchased my telephone system from Comtex when I moved my office from downtown Manhattan to Midtown Manhattan. Comtex installed the system as promised. I had my office up and running with no down time. Cheryl helped me pick out the best system for my needs. I wish that everything associated with my office move was as easy as the installation of my new phone system. I'd recommend Comtex to anyone looking for a new telephone system.

I have dealt with many, many companies and organizations in my life, but take my word as a business-owner and property owner when I tell you that using Comtex to do the surveillance system installation in our building was one of the best decision I have ever made. From the beginning to end, everything from initial setup to final completion was absolutely professional and detailed-oriented. Myself as a board member and all the residents in the building is completely satisfied and elated with Comtex and it's staff.

Our office started to use comtex and wildix and we have been working remotely for 6 months due to the pandemic and he still are and it has been so helpful for our Law firm we are so happy with the system and the company. Comtex has installed our video surveillance system to make our business safer and more efficient. They have up to date equipment and have designed a system to customize our needs. I spoke with a woman named Cheryl who was so sweet and very helpful. I highly recommend using this company!

Thank goodness for Comtex and the Wildix system they installed right before the pandemic hit. They installed a Wildix system for our medical office; we have 2 locations connected. The system has been great since the beginning, however, we had to go through this pandemic to realize how helpful and versatile this system is.

The pandemic caused us to move 90% of our in house operations off site. We have been able to work from home almost seamlessly. The online platform and mobile app is really amazing and allows all of us to be connected all the time, getting all the calls, in a time that we are depending on it for 90% of our appointments.

We were serving our patients via telemedicine and thanks to Clearfly portal we were sending them all the appointment information and instruction via text message, which makes it easier for them, than regular email communication.

I truly believe that the success of telemedicine would not have been possible if we didn't have the correct communication platform. I would also like you to extend the thank you note to Anne for her support and prompt response anytime that we have needed to update a recording or any other set up change.

I will truly recommend you to anyone in the medical field or with a business with multiple interconnected locations or that have some employees working off site, who is looking for a reliable, up to date, cost effective and efficient communication solution.

I purchased a surveillance system from Comtex Inc. in Rutherford NJ. About one year ago to replace an old unit. The service is OUTSTANDING! When I got my “smart Phone” they helped me through the setup, saving me time and money, and they taught me things about the Smart Phone that I did not know!
Just a few days ago I change to FIOS, well the Verizon man knew nothing about opening ports, and getting my DVR working again. Cheryl, who is always so helpful and pleasant, knew who I needed to talk. I was up and running in a day viewing the DVR again, and was comfortable while traveling that the system would perform as well as it had before.
The entire staff goes out of their way to help you out. They are very knowledgeable, and friendly. I cannot image there being another company of this caliber, and affordability out there. I will be a loyal Comtex customer always, when you have the best, why change!

I highly recommend Comtex, Inc. for your video surveillance needs. I'm a homeowner who had a problem with vandalism. Within a week of the installation of the 8 video cameras that Comtex had installed around my house, we caught the perpetrator on camera. The management and installers of Comtex were professional, accommodating and friendly at every turn.

We changed our whole phone system to Wildix with Cheryl's help! We've saved so much on our phone bill and the call center functionality made everything run so much smoothly just like our helicopter services!

The recent software upgrade of our Mitel phone switch went without any issues at all. We are pleased with the hard work and preparation that Jose had put into it to make it go so smoothly.

As an owner of a family owned business that has been around a long time, I am especially pleased when I see another family run business being run with strong employees who have been around and have seen most everything there is to see in their field, and who react personally and promptly to whatever concerns or questions the customer may have at any time. WIthout exception, everyone I have interacted with at Comtex has taken the time and put in the effort to promptly do what they say they are going to do, while also doing it professionally and kindly. On the rare occaions when I asked a question that the person did not know the answer to, they indicated that they would find out and get back to me, and then they did so. I respect people who are willing to say "that is a good question, let me look into that and get back to you" rather than attempting to answer it incompletely or incorrectly.
