Soaring Eagles Golf Course

Beautiful course, condition, amenities. But just out of season, they managed to take in the ball washers. Played from Black(Eagle) tees at a distance totaling 7067 yards of gorgeous verdant carpets and the grand undulating islands of a putters nightmare. Sand traps guard most greens and some water breaking up both 9 holes, they keep your shots honest. Read the greens carefully, putt with confidence as par is found quickly at 71 strokes.

On a chilly Autumn morning, the staff couldn't be more welcoming to a newcomer to the course. The pro shop made a point of welcoming all of our group and the starter was glad to explain the course's history and pointed out local course knowledge that really helped make the round more enjoyable. I will be back.

Really great golf course. It is a NYS owned course and is great. The course is very well maintained. The landscape is beautiful. Staff are always friendly. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful state-run course outside of Horsehead, NY. Played the front nine only and it was fun yet challenging. For so early in the season, the course is in great shape. Very friendly pro shop staff and the starter was all smiles and had done helpful hints for this first timer playing Soaring Eagle. I look forward to going back and playing the full 18.

Met my golf ⛳ partners late. The pro shop attendant gave me the senior rate for nine holes. The starter/Ranger led me to my partners already playing on the course

Really nice course, well run, reasonable price. They have real sand traps and interestingly designed holes. Plenty of distance on the back nine if you like to challenge your friends with the driver. Large greens mean great opportunity to try a variety of putts. Overall very unique and challenging.

Awesome course and great people. One hundred percent satisfied, staff were helpful and informative. Steve obviously knew what he was talking about and helped me right out. I bought two knew clubs and a quality tee shirt. You won't regret coming here

Wonderful experience every time I go. The course is extremely well maintained. Friendly staff and not too busy as of late. They do honor the Lifetime Liberty Pass for disabled Veterans.

The course is well run and well maintained. You need to make tee times online. Senior rate for over 62. Mornings are busy, afternoons are clear.

Soaring Eagles is a beautiful, well maintained golf course in Horseheads, NY. The course is challenging but fair and suits golfers of all skill levels. There's a restaurant and pro shop on the premises.

My husband Bob grew up playing this course in the 1960s when it was known as Francourt Farms G.C. He never stops talking about the unique design with a par 35 (front) and par 37 (back). His family was friends with PGA Champions Tour pro Joey Sindelar who is also known to be rather fond of the course. I played it once with my husband in 2010 and concur in his assessment.
