We were there for a funeral and I know that my family loves the place, they hosted us and all of our hot mess. Philly was great and the fries were hot.

I absolutely love going here with my boyfriend. We went again last night and their fried rice is the best thing I've ever had. I get the scallops with the Cajun sauce extra spicy. I highly recommend this place over anything else in the area. We are treated like family and love the hospitality they give us. Will be going here until we're old and wrinkly. 100/10. Would recommend.

My friends and I love coming here. Their low mein dishes are so good. And they make it as spicy as you can handle. If you want it spicy. Joyce is always super nice and is always smiling. This place is a diamond in the rough.

Tried their prime rib medium, baked potato, and soup. It was large and delicious. Took home a goodie bag.

The wife and I had a fish fry dinner last Friday. She hasn't been there for years and I was a first timer. We were seated and a drink order was established. The restaurant was rather busy with not a full house of patrons, but probably better than 75%! After looking at the menu choices we both opted for the fish fry. She went with mashed potatoes and I had the mac-n-cheese with French Fries on the side. She did not want her salad so I asked to have hers added to mine. They obliged and the order was made. My salad and a basket of dinner rolls/butter appeared. The salad was fresh and was rather tasty with the Italian dressing ordered. Dinner rolls/butter were also good, but we should have asked for another basket! They disappeared quickly! Maybe the kitchen was very busy and ordered overwhelmed the staff, but the salad and rolls were gone well before dinner came to the table. The mac-n-cheese, my fish were all nice and hot. My fries were not so lucky, but I ate them anyway. My wife's fish and mashed potatoes were hot also. Overall, dinner wasn't too bad and we think we will do it again. Hope the fries get warmer! Gotta see about the prime rib on Saturday night also!!!

Food is so good and meat is so tender and juicy. 100% recommend.

Very great experience! If I give an establishment a 5 star review they have earned it. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. I very greatly appreciated how the host seated myself and my girlfriend in a more secluded quiet place since crowds tend to give us both anxiety. I forgot all about the existence of this place but I won't anymore. After this experience I will be back more often!

Stopped in around 8-9:00 the other night. Hostess/owner(?) was awesome! Food was amazing! Prices were average. Great atmosphere! Definitely recommend Yee Olde Hickory House!! We will return the next time we are in town!

I regret that I have not visited The Hickory House before! My aunt & uncle where visiting from Florida and she expressed a desire for a fishfry. We were treated very well and professionally. In my opinion they provide the best broiled fish dinner I have ever tasted followed in my case with an excellent slice of Pecan pie. I thought every part of the experience was great including very reasonable prices. I thank them for the experience and plan to return in the future.

Best fish fry there is!!! Hard working, friendly staff. Feel good homey and rustic atmosphere; from family dinner to classic bar scene balance. Highly recommend for dinner and a drink!!!

Great atmosphere, fantastic food, and very friendly and efficient staff. Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Parm and Friday Fish Fry are especially good. Steaks are cooked exactly how ordered. A "must try"!!

The fish fry here was spot on and cooked to perfection. They also have a full bar at this location. Worth the stop even if the parking lot has a ton of cars. It is super roomy inside. You can eat in the lounge or dine in area.

Not only a place in my hometown, but friendly and warming atmosphere as if everyone is family. Dining to the left and "lounging" to the right, there's something for everyone here. Try the egg roll! It's amazing! Very large, and is a great appetizer for the fish fry (very large and delicious as well). Highly recommended. Family, home-cooked meals are 10-stars in my opinion, and Joyce along with the rest of the staff are no exception.

We came in from out of town and wanted a family restaurant & not a chain. Locals recommended this place and it didn’t disappoint. Food was excellent and the prices were perfect. Makes you wish more restaurants in the area were like this one because we drove around saw chain restaurants and run down restaurants in the area. Joyce and her staff were excellent if we are ever back in town we will not hesitate to stop again.

This was a hidden gem that we found accidentally while on a road trip and a fuel refill ⛽.. This was the only open restaurant on Thanksgiving night and the ambience was awesome with delicious food and excellent service by the hostess.. All smiles and joking around making the kids giggle and enjoy the whole time.. We had a Turkey dinner and hot chocolate as well🫕🍫

We had a party of 6...everyone had excellent food. Our waitress was fun an personable. This place is far better than I remember from the past and I'll be back soon!

It's a very nice place to relax a bit after a long day the pork fried rice was the best I've had very filling not like I've ever tasted very yummy
