Amma’s Kitchen never disappoints! The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, each prepared with care and authentic Indian spices. The ambiance is cozy, making you feel like you’re dining with family. It’s the perfect spot for both vegetarians and meat lovers.

Their idli and Vada and sambar was the highlight of the visit. It’s cheap for breakfast. The service was okay as it was a weekday. The tea was too strong to our liking.

We went with a large group today and were warmly greeted and seated. Service was quick. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. Monica was very good 👍
We will definitely come back.

One of the best place for family occasion, best South Indian food ever in New Jersey. One of my guest had a problem with onion & garlic so we spoke with the chef palani & he made without onion & garlic food for him really appreciated your service. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was really good and homely. Being a South Indian I can assure you the taste is authentic and reminds me of home. We wanted to taste different items in the menu and ordered a lot for three people. The portion sizes were good. The Baby corn pepper fry and Egg masala were the top picks of our orders.

It’s amazing that the restaurant offers 3 idlies for a mere 1$ which is a healthy and wholesome meal.

Last but not least the service was also amazing with very less wait time.

We spotted this board while shopping in the area and decided to stop over a weekend and boy were we in for a treat! We had the Banana Leaf - All you can eat! The dishes are based on South Indian cuisine and quite authentic. Very flavorful and not too spicy.children would enjoy this too! If you’re not comfortable eating with your hands you can choose the buffet and enjoy the similar dishes on a plate with cutlery

Very authentic South Indian Veg and Non-veg food. Everyone in our family loves their food, including kids. Highly recommended, and their cost is also affordable. Don't miss their banana leaf unlimited food service.

Best Indian food in the US. The taste is authentic. Love their customer service as their staffs are so friendly. Biryani, Kothu Parotta, Fish Fry were amazing. The price is so cheap compared to other Indian restaurants in US. Would definitely recommend!

The buffet served on banana leaf is the highlight. They have so many varieties that are of very good taste and quality. Would definitely recommend this anyone who is looking for unlimited South Indian food.

Everyone should try the Thali being served from 6pm to 8pm. Unlimited on weekends, limited on weekdays. Whole experience is fantastic. Food is to another level. Make sure you go there really hungry. It's a lot of food to taste and eat. Service was awesome as well. One tip, go with a batch of people..once they start serving one bath of people. They cannot move over to next bath until first bath has been taken care. It's definitely lot of work for them. But a definite must try.

Great authetic south indian food. Enjoyed all the dosas. Vada and idli tasted great.

Fantastic South Indian food-maybe some of the best chicken curry and Malabar/Kerala paratha I can remember having anywhere! And the oddly/medu vada app for only $3 is killer-with 3 chutneys too!

Nice south indian quality food at good price. Don't miss it if you visit NJ and like South indian spicy food. They serve meal in Banana leaf as optional for $2 extra. Quality of food is just like home good as if my mom cooked. It's busy place but served as quick as possible. Friendly staff also.

Especially the chutneys . The red/ peanut chutneys were out of the world. Vada. Could be better . It was kinda hard .. chapati kuruma was good . Best was the breakfast combo we and Ghee dosa .. . Amazing and fast service … parking is a little smalll as compared with other restaurants . Overall a very good experience.. biryani with seeraga Samba rice is just awesome ! Chilli corn is amazing .. overall loved it 😍

Food is great. Love the banana leaf unlimited meals and breakfast platter. Price is extremely reasonable. Venkat is very friendly and hospitable.

I couldn't find a better place in Edison for best Indian food. I completely loved the food and service. Had a visit on the weekend for lunch. The front desk girls very customer friendly and the goat biryani was great.. !!. Stop at this amazing place for good food.

This place is tucked in a strip mall & is a modest take away place to grab your food, they have a small seating area which is kept clean , we love to eat our dosa here & not do a take out as the dosas become soggy if taken home. A perfect place to grab the best breakfast platter for just $5 , and even better because this platter is served throughout the day. It consists of one small sada dosa, one idli , one vada, small but decent portion of pongal , coconut chutney & garlic tomato chutney on the side & a small bowl of sambhar!! The taste is to die for, its just the way we grew up eating back in our country, comforting, tasty & not heavy on spices yet not bland, just like a good home cooked meal, & this platter is pretty filling. They also serve idlis @ 1 each, vadas @1 each
We love the amma’s kichen biryani too , its neither too spicy nor too bland & tastes amazingly good, yet again you will be reminded of home cooked comforting food!!
Our go to food here is the biryani thought, we also love their breakfast platter or stock up idlis for lunch next day usually

Pros and cons but can assure we can have tasty and fresh south Indian style food. Irrespective of lot of complaints crowds are bit high here, accommodating and serving is bit challenge for them. Restaurant inside place is very small, hardly 10 tables, outside bit spacious. They ask for advance booking but we were unplanned everytime but within 15-30mims they tried to accommodate us. It is one of the must try restaurant in NJ and i prefer/suggest non-veg here.
