Forest Green Park Cemetery

My mom is buried there so far no complaint every time I go it clean and she next to a tree so it very peaceful.

I traveled from Alexandria, Virginia to visit my mother and oldest brothers’ gravesite on Thursday, July 7, 2022. The weather was great, it was very sunny and warm. The cemetery grass was green and lush, and the ducks were all around which made it look really nice and welcoming. I had a great visit and look forward to my next visit In a couple of months, or next year around this time!

I visited on Wednesday, October 27, to Visit my mother and my older brother’s grave. The temperature was in the low 60s and a little bit chilly. Most of the grass was green but some of it was turning brown and some of the headstones were underwater a little bit. I had a nice visit as I had traveled from Virginia just for the day. My last visit was in May, right after Mother’s Day and it was warm and sunny. I plan my next visit for May 2022 God willing!

I buried our friend, Betty M. Payne, at this cemetery in May 2009. I used the Freeman Funeral Directors in Freehold, NJ. Everything was handled with care and I was satisfied. The funeral director was in charge and handled all the interactions with the cemetery. I never had a problem. Our friend had no next of kin available for the burial, but we had thirty friends and acquaintances show up for the service. It was the most reasonable funeral I had arranged in the recent past. I had used the same funeral director for my mother-in-law's burial in April 2007, and that burial was more expensive as it was in a different cemetery.

On Saturday, March 15th, 2014, we visited the grave site. My friend's son had not placed a grave marker at his mother's grave in almost four years.

The woman in the office explained their requirements for a bronze plaque, 24" x 12", as a grave marker. She offered to have a monument place send us details about the choices. The cost quoted seemed very reasonable; the cemetery builds a foundation and installs the grave marker. They work together with the monument company.

I was impressed when we found my friend's grave site. The surrounding graves all have bronze markers. There is so much space around each grave. The graves are not crowded together at all as is usual in other cemeteries. The only graves that were closer were the ones where a husband and wife are buried side by side.

There are many marble benches throughout the grounds that make it easy to sit down while visiting your loved ones. They are donated by relatives of the deceased. We were considering getting one for our friend, but there is already one close to her grave site that was installed by someone else's relatives.

We also noticed that since the ground is barren, and free of grass or scrubs, there is no need to pay for "perpetual care" as is common at other cemeteries.

My friend's grave is close to one side of the cemetery where there are many trees at its border. It's a nice setting.

The only possibly negative thing we noticed were the many Canadian geese that are prowling around on the property. The ground must be so fertile due to the bird droppings. This is nature. Our friend would be happy to know that her remains are participating naturally in the cycle of life.

A guy named Conner helped me find my aunt grave since she didn’t have a stone or a plat. It was snowing he actually grabbed a shovel to help me look. Me and my family will always be grateful for him.. thank you guys for everything. I definitely recommend this cemetery to bury your loved ones.

My Grandmother passed away April of 2004, and her resting place is here @ Forest Green Park Cemetery. I love the cemetery it is well kept up by maintenance and the graves are kept well. I would like to be buried her a long said my grandmother.

My grandmother and my aunt are buried here. We had great service and very reasonable prices both times. They connected us with other vendors who were also helpful and sensitive to your price constraints. They accommodated our large party and the fact that we were running behind!

Nice place and very reasonable., the staff was very supportive and kind during our time of sorrow. My mother, uncle and cousin are all buried near each other in a great location. The commute from Brooklyn is not bad.

My father was buried here on may 2019.....been here a few times , I have other family members and family friends here...The staff are great and they treat my Muslim community with the utmost respect ! Looking forward to coming by soon to see how my Father's Tomb Plaque look!

My parents a bury here I love its clean and it don't look like a cemetery more like a park and you see ducks its peaceful and it's why I pick this place even though they are very far from me but it great where there are.

Workers were really nice and respectful towards my family. They understood that we are a grieving family and we understood that they are running a business. Their prices are pretty reasonable.

I never had a problem with the staff. If i ever felt like someone was being nasty I just set the tone. They keep here pretty clean.

When my father-in-law was buried here, they did a nice job at a reasonable price.
