My first time there, the food was amazing and everything is oversized 😋 the pastrami was so fresh and tasty. I had 3 helpings... dessert napoleon was so soft and creamy I just indulge. I went for a baby shower and so glad I did!

Simply amazing. So much food. Every plate can easily feed 2-3 persons. I’ve never had the chance to try the cakes, but they look delicious. My favorite sandwich is the hot pastrami, very delicious. Don’t forget to also try the pickles buffet, with many options. This place is worth a visit for anyone traveling around Edison/NJ.

It’s not a fancy place for a date.

Harold’s is famous for his New York style deli sandwiches. There’re four of us. We had three cups of cold borscht soup, one junior brisket sandwich, a large two meat combination, and a side mashed potato. All were delicious with huge portions. There’re so much leftovers; we each got another one or two meals out of it.

The pickle bar was great, with plenty of selections. I enjoyed the hot peppers and the healthy salad.

We shared an order of cheesecake which was enough for four to share.

Fantastic deli. Got pastrami and corned beef large sandwich. With it came coleslaw, a loaf of rye bread, Pickles and Mustard. Made 6 sandwiches with it all. Matzo ball soup was fantastic. Had 6 bowls of soup. Cherry cheese cake was amazing, Black and white cake was enormous, we got6 serving of that too!

I really have never had. Bad thing to say about Harold's. We drive about 1.5 hours to get there, and it is worth every gallon of gas!!! Don't be shocked, EVERYTHING is hugh at Harold's. Lots of leftovers to enjoy at home. Yum!!!

Approaching the deli you see a shut down hotel in disrepair and first impression was oh no what have we picked.
I'm happy to report that this was a very memorable dining experience that I will remember fondly for years to come.
Having never been to a NY style deli I thought I got the catering menu when I saw a pastrami and corned beef sandwich was $54... It wasn't. I was assured that the sandwich I ordered would feed 6-8 people. I ordered it. Was directed to the pickle bar, omg I'm in heaven and I had to check my pulse to be sure.
The first thing to come out was a plate of the best damn smelling and tasting Rye bread and again I was puzzled why half a loaf of bread for my sandwich, but then came my sandwich, 1 half was bigger than my face. The cacophony of flavor that came from this absolute dream of a sandwich elevated my awareness to a whole new plane of existence. And that was amazing (left over made 11 more good sized sandwiches for my crew back at the hotel. And just when I thought we were done and on to dessert.
The ECLAIR was bigger than my forearm!!! The cream was likely the best cream filling I've ever had, the outside dough was ok, chocolate was good. And then the cheesecake. Fun fact I don't like cheesecake, well I didn't and then I had theirs... I felt as if taste buds had been awakened that was dormant for so long and now that cheesecake is in my top 5 favorite cakes, maybe 3rd?
Every server and cashier was the nicest people ever. Needless to say it is a destination stop for us now. We also will be bringing coolers next time to bring food back.

Amazing. We went for lunch and shared the 1 meat Rueben and the sausage peppers and onions with potatoes. Both were seasoned right, and service was terrific.

This is the place. Word or warning, they give you a lot of food at this place. Order one thing only. If you don't, you will be packing up to go.

Party of three was not able to finish half.

Harold's New York Deli is a must-have experience. The large Pastrami sandwich serves four hungry adults. The pickle bar is full of very tasty pickled cucumbers, peppers, saurcraut, and health salads. Save some room for the incredibly large dessert cakes. The pastrami was very good. I would like to see a variety of deli mustard, but that did not take a way from the experience at all. There was a 15 minute wait at the door on Sunday evening
The experience was worth the wait. I will definitely return for another round of pastrami and rye.

The food is always great. The service is excellent on the spot. They're like lightning to bring you food and they don't rush you when you're finished. I would recommend this whole heart is laid to anyone who wants a phenomenal experience.

Great spot for big groups! We were 7 adults and 3 kids. We ordered the kids their own meals and although they are a bit pricey for a kids meal they were so big that they could easily have been shared! For us we ordered a matzah ball soup, large turkey sandwich and x-large corned beef sandwich, and with the pickle bar and coleslaw that came with the sandwiches, we had plenty of food for us to be stuffed and still have enough to take home and make 3 decent sized sandwiches the next day. We easily split the red velvet cake, it made 10 perfect slices. Great meal and great service, will be back!

My husband has bigger-than-normal hands. So you get an idea of how big their foods are! Matzo ball soup is our must-order every time - for how huge it is, we usually have more than half packed to go. They also refills soup for you. We tried their pancake for the first time. 4 of us didn’t even kill 1/4 of the pancake. It was very fluffy, not dry at all. They gave (a lot of) butter and maple syrup. My husband’s favorite is their double decker sandwich. He often chooses pastrami and roasted beef for meats. The amount of cheese they melt on the sandwich is ridiculous (in a good way). Their gave rye bread for the table. For the mountain of meat we got, we eventually packed most of the plate to go, and ate non-stop for the next 2 days. With tax and tips, we paid $45 per person. By the way, the service is great - they always keep an eye on you, and replace your plates without you asking them. Our waiter was so funny. He asked: so, what do we want for today, and for the rest of the week? We will go back for dinner sometime to try their BBQ beef ribs. Strongly recommend.

The tomatoes speak for themselves. Great sandwich. The pickle bar was a huge bonus.

The closest restaurant from the hotel and WOW! The pastrami is delicious and the onion ring/fries combo platter just tops it all off. But wait! Don't forget about the pickle bar! A great place to eat and get your servings worth!

We were three guys who ordered XL-size brisket beef and pastrami, the meat was so tender juicy and delicious. The servings are huge so you can definitely take your leftovers home.

This place is awesome! First timers will not be prepared for the size of these sandwiches. Everything is delicious! And the cakes, have you ever seen a single slice of chocolate cake be as large as an entire cake at any other place?!!

Harold's is still great, but the economy has finally caught up with them. I never was able to understand how they stayed in business with the portions they served for the unbelievably low prices. The food is still awesome, and the service is still great, but the prices have gone up, and the portions are just a little bit smaller. But it's still a fabulous treat to go to Harold's. Number 1 in my book.

You will never leave hungry. The food portions are very generous and doesn't lack in flavor. Prices are reasonable
