Stage House Tavern Somerset

Went here for Thanksgiving dinner. We did not make reservations, and the staff was able to accommodate us, a party of 3. They were so friendly and respectful. We took a chance that they could get us in for a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. The dinner was buffet style, and it was delicious. Our waitress Amy was amazing. The atmosphere was perfect. Very casual and cozy. I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant if you are in the area. Reservations are recommended, especially on holidays.

Shortly after ordering, i received a honey dripped biscuit with apple butter. OMG, I am trying to avoid bread, but i could have had 6 of these and been good to go for dinner.

Clam chowder was good. I just left several of the large potatoes in the bowl.

Lots to choose from on the dinner menu. While I wanted to try the swordfish, I opted for the beef stroganoff. There were plenty of beef chunks, but they could have had more mushrooms and onions. The server told me I would get filled up and get a to-box. Challenge accepted, and I lost.

Definitely will return here in my next visit.

I went with my family to the Christmas Eve buffet. It was an amazing experience. My family and I love to share food, so I was able to taste all the entrees. I personally adored the sirlion, the salmon, the fruitti de mare, and the goat cheese ravioli as well as the spinach salad. We also loved the tiriamisu. This will be our new holiday tradition! I am sorry, we didn't take more photos, but we were really enjoying ourselves. lol

The ambiance is wonderful. It has such a warm vibe. The chatter , the service staff , the food choices and recommendations. Fabulous.
U don’t feel hurried. The speed of service in such a busy night was also commendable.

A restaurant with rich history, large but cozy atmosphere and fresh, well prepared food. We arrived and were quickly seated at the outside dining area. I ordered the lobster roll with fresh shucked lobster, mayo, and celery. The lobster was truly fresh with just the right amount of mayo and celery for a light crunch. The fries were seasoned well and served hot. I also had the amazing creme bulee for desert. It was light, creamy with a balanced sweetness. The perfect dessert to finish the meal. If you're looking for inspiration as a home chef and a celebratory evening out, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I was referred to dine here from my cousin while I was in NJ. Let me tell you the food is amazing! That Onion soup is 🔥🔥 I also ordered the Turkey Club sandwich and there was no way, I was going to finish that. If you're hungry order that sandwich! It's stacked right! and off course it comes with fries, which are not small either. This was just soup and a sandwich! I'm FULL🥱🥱

My family and I had Christmas Dinner here. The professionalism, kindness, and hard work that went into our experience is unmatched. I was almost in tears how amazing we were treated as the selfless staff catered to us and have my children presents along with AMAZING food! This memory will forever be etched in my mind! We were given a complementary meal just out of the sheer kindness of the owners and staff. Everyone was phenomenal. But two people stick out in my mind…..Sylvia and Christine…..thank you so much got your kindness!!!

Best restaurant in town. Very popular and great place for all occasion. I was there for business dinner. Good food and good service. With outdoor seating, very trendy restaurant.

We were in a private room for a birthday party. Staff was excellent to keep things running on time, food was from a specific birthday menu. Everyone loved their food, great seasoning and flavors. The coffee was very good also. Great experience

My family and I have had the opportunity to dine at this location twice so far. I must say this place is amazing. Service is pretty good for a busy place.We tasted many different items from their menu from the pulled pork potachos, stuffed pork, burgers, wings, mac and cheese among other things. All of these items were tasty and portions size let's just say you won't leave there hungry. Now if you love steak give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. I like steak but a really good steak is hard to find. Here at Stage House Tavern their steak was absolutely delicious soft and tender it melts in your mouth. We will be back if and when we have another opportunity.

Went on Easter Sunday, totally packed but had reservations and was taken to a table almost immediately with a large party. Food was good.

Delicious food, wonderful variety on the menu - something for everyone at lots of different price points. Service was very friendly and the manager walked around to check on everyone. Tables were nicely spaced out - not too far, not too close. Wonderful ambience.

Great menu! Drink menu was unique. We both tried something different from our normal and were very happy with our selection.

The weather allowed for sitting on the back patio, which was awesome.

Great place to have date night or a night out with friends. Even a family gathering. It's a large outdoors and indoor place. It has a live band at certain days(looking Forward to Thursdays). Service was nice a friendly. Felt we was forgotten at two separate times, but we was lost in the ambiance. Lol... we only went for drinks and finger food, but will go back for dinner so check back for an update.

Great find. We ate outdoors on a nice end of summer day. it was a football Sunday and lots of people were dressed in their favorite jerseys. the staff is young, the menu is extensive and the food is good.

Amazing experience. Was introduced by a friend and I'm so glad we visited. Came in a group of 4 in the evening and the night went darker as we ate. Outdoor seating was beautiful. Our server Amanda was super attentive and yet doesn't hover all over the entire time, just perfect! The fish and chips I had was really good. Fish not too overly seasoned, just enough to let its natural taste shine through. The French fries are one of the best I've ever had. Definitely drop by if you're in the region.

The food was delicious and plenty of it. The candied bacon appetizer was so good! The French onion soup had crispy onion straws on top of it which added a little more to the already tasty soup. I ordered the stuffed flounder and my husband ordered the full rack of ribs and both meals were great (plenty of leftover ribs). The staff was so nice from the moment we walked in the door until we left. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Rustic American bar with loads of space, service was good and food was great given the fact that we came when it was real busy props to the chefs making it work. Their drink specials are where it's at considering the bar gets packed. This place also has outdoor seating if you're looking for that sort of thing. They also have different daily specials and some bands come and play throughout the week. One thing to mention is that this place gets loud, if you don't mind it like I do, then you can't go wrong here at the Stage House Tavern.
