I really liked this place!! The exhibitions were overall very good and I had a great time there. There is a Café in the first floor and you can even take your drink with you see everything!
There is also a shop which had the coolest stuff. Very interesting for everyone who has an interest into photography, but if you wanna try something new I'm sure you'd enjoy it as well!
No discount for students but for people under 25.

Really beautiful art place. Loved the exhibitions. They have really good coffee and pastries at the entrance with a few people having meetings or working on their laptop which makes a really nice and cozy ambiance. Staff was really friendly. I was already use to the one in Stockholm, really nice to had the opportunity to visit the one in NYC! Beautiful place !

This gallery space is lovely. You take an elevator from the first floor to the top gallergy floor. Then you work your way back down using the stairs to view each of the galleries your interested in. We saw each one and enjoyed the mini exhibitions. No two floor exhibits were the same, each seemed curated to fit the artist highlighted on that floor. One artist even helped with the installation and created his own labels by hand on the walls. So fun! The first floor has a shop with fun items and a cafe. The restrooms are lovely, too.😊

Really nice museum, beautifully directed by Amanda Hajjar. Each floor features a different exhibition and the coffee in the lobby is 10/10. Huge selection of books and prints as well to take home.

So worth it, especially if you do their early bird deal (10:30-12 M-F). Four amazing floors of really interesting exhibits. Each floor also had music and video that went with the exhibits. The flow of each floor was easy to follow and the lighting and design of each room helped elevate the already amazing art. I’m excited to come back when they have new stuff on display.
The cafe was nice too! Comfy seating and good drinks.

It’s a beautiful building and quite an unusual museum. Several floors have photography exhibits and on the top floor it’s also a really nice lounge. On the ground floor, there’s a coffee shop and lots of great photography books and things on display. Just a great space to spend time! And I love the idea of a museum devoted to photography.

I have visited the Fotografiska Museum NYC already a few times. They always have unique collections and fun artists there. It's seemingly never overly crowded, which also allows you to enjoy more individual pictures. You can access it via stairs or elevator. On the 2nd floor they have a bar! I bought my tickets in advance but you can also get it at the door.

This is a wonderful "hidden gem" that I've been to countless times. They have the most interesting photo exhibits and I love how intimate the space is, yet it never feels crowded which is an added bonus. Beautiful gift shop on the ground level as well as drinks and snacks available. Special shout out to the wonderful staff: From the Front Desk personnel (Rayn and team) to Security (Chris), they are welcoming, professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

They have super cool, almost immersive exhibits. It's pretty small so you can see everything under like 2ish hours. And make sure you go early on a weekday to get the early bird discount!

We came for “The Best Of Show” and loved it. Great layout and fun exhibit. Definitely recommend the early-bird pricing and lack of crowd.

Absolutely a F-I-V-E STAR ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ experience !!! A beautiful building is the setting for a visually stunning experience in modern and historic photography. Located on Park avenue and 22nd Street in Manhattan, this museum has a very attentive staff to guide you every step of the way to an entertaining visit. A restaurant, gift and coffee shop on the first floor welcome you politely as you enter into a journey of enjoyable photographs. Currently there is a hip-hop exhibit that CANNOT be missed. The gift shop has unique gifts from Amazing Pictorial books to analog cameras. A can't miss if visiting New York,..And a great time for New Yorkers as well.

On World Photography Day, we had the pleasure of exploring this museum. The atmosphere was lively, coinciding with the celebration. The admission fee was reduced to just $8, a significant drop from the usual $30. As someone not particularly drawn to photography, I found the cost a bit steep. Nonetheless, the museum was truly captivating.

We ventured through floors 5 to 3, as the 6th floor was off-limits due to a private event.

The current exhibits were as follows:

On the 5th floor, we immersed ourselves in the artistry of Terri O'Neil - Stars. Stepping into a dark room reminiscent of a photographer's studio, we found ourselves surrounded by an array of stars. From music legends and Hollywood icons to sports figures and fashion luminaries, this collection primarily showcased personalities from the latter half of the 20th century.

Moving to the 4th floor, we encountered "Prix Pictet Fire." This ninth cycle of the Prix Pictet photography prize featured works by 13 photographers hailing from diverse corners of the globe, such as Austria, Belgium, Benin, Cambodia, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Switzerland, and the USA. Their photographs shed light on a variety of themes, spanning from awareness of environmental wildfires to fire as a primal source of energy. Some of the pieces were thought-provoking, including Sally Mann's award-winning series "Blackwater" (2008-2012), which secured the prize in 2021.

On the 3rd floor, "Listen Until You Hear" showcased artworks by artists like Hank Willis Thomas, Cassils, Maia Ruth Lee, Cannupa Hanska Luger, Eric Gottesman, and Kameelah Janan Rasheed. Hailing from diverse backgrounds, these artists collectively urged us to listen through visuals. The concept struck me as intriguing, as it highlighted a behavior we often engage in unknowingly. This immersive experience successfully prompted conversations about connecting more deeply with our bodies and being more mindful of our interactions with others.

All in all, the value I gained from this museum exceeded the price of admission. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to those seeking mental stimulation and a pleasurable time.

I recently visited the Fotografiska Museum and had the chance to explore their captivating Hip Hop Exhibit before it bid farewell. I was reminded of the iconic moments, the iconic figures, and the evolution of hip hop throughout the years. As I strolled through the exhibit, I found myself transported back to the golden era of hip hop, reliving cherished memories and appreciating the artistry that shaped an entire generation. It's a true celebration of the genre's vibrant history and a testament to its enduring influence. Don't miss out on this remarkable showcase of art and music.

Look, this place is a bit pricey, but you won’t be disappointed. The works displayed were gorgeous and inspirational. Also, the gift shop was a wonderful place to pick up some tchotchkes.

Actually I want to comment on Veronika their restaurant. Too many places in Nyc can't live up to their hype...this place can. The cocktails were made by craftsmen who were trained by Bacchus himself. They know how to mix, shake and present.
On the menu the bread is divine and it was no big deal to ask for MORE plus it was "free".
Even a simple dish of mushrooms were sublime. Our entrees which were halibut and filet were superb. But what made the evening was our waitress, LUPE. A North Carolinian who had all the southern charm of any debutante. Lupe, I hope you enjoyed the 2 dollar bill for good luck.

Fantastic! We saw a temporary exhibit (there are multiple floors with different exhibits) about Terry O’Neil with a lot cool photographs of cinema stars. Every floor had fascinating art. Will be back!

Exhibits change every couple months, and it’s always something new and interesting to see. This time a carefully curated collection of artists telling their stories about human condition and nature in general! Plus kind and helpful staff and tasty pastries to savor!

I went here recently, for the David LaChapelle photo exhibition, has been a great event!
The location is really beautiful and the last floor is breathtaking. At the end we went also for some cocktail at the bar Veronika, was a fantastic experience! Highly suggested!
