One of the best hibachi experiences in NJ! I was here for the first time and will definitely be coming back when I am in the area!

A great Japanese place in a strip mall that offers great food, and abundant indoor seating. Sushi tasted fresh The salmon teriyaki was also great. Friendly service too! Service was attentive and helpful. Overall a great place for lunch or dinner.

Nice aesthetic and great interior. Service was ok but very quick and efficient. Pretty great sushi options with all the special rolls. Really enjoyed the quality of the sushi. The hibachi stations looked really cool so I definitely want to try that next time.

Now for my standard COVID comments as of January 2023. Staff members are wearing masks and the seating is decently distanced. Felt completely fine sitting inside and enjoyed my dinner.

no wonder this place is consistently packed... the sushi and sashimi were all fresh... we ordered the love boat for two... kani salad... and seafood fried rice... the love boat didn't have a fancy presentation but pretty much makes up on the freshness of everything on it... the service is excellent as well... server is keeping us up to date on pending order... very attentive to our additional needs... i guess another ♥ tag on the map... cheers!

Food is always consistent, service is friendly and fast and the owner is always on point making sure things run smoothly. Great selection of sushi, drinks, apps, entrees and desserts with a dining room or hibachi room option! Clean and sleek atmosphere with ample parking. Affordable and everything always tastes fresh, especially the sashimi ✌

If you enjoy Hibachi then this is one you have try. Great for the family or if you want to simply dine alone. Split in two separate sections, hibachi on one side and sushi on the other the choice is yours. Here’s the finisher ice cream; with flavors ranging from chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, green tea or fried ice cream. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

Fantastic experience here at Fujiyama Mama Westfiled NJ. The interior was clean and neat. Service was phenomenal, quick, and efficient. Food was delicious and I can’t wait to go back.

Took my son out for his 18th birthday dinner to one of his favorite places - Fujiyama Mama in Westfield on South Avenue. As usual they did not disappoint with a variety of well prepared sushi and appetizers - we love their crab cake appetizer. Their sushi varieties seem endless. They also have a large hibachi room with entertaining chefs. The staff was gracious and attentive and kept my cup of tea from bing empty throughout my meal. Very nice indeed. For sushi not overly expensive.

I've been going to Fujiama Mama since mid 2000's, it does never disappoint me. Food is excellent, sushi is among the best in the area. Due to Covid, I was reluctant to indoor dine (in any restaurant), took a shot at FM and it was stress free dining. Tables are apart several feet from one another, servers wear a face shield and mask... well that's the world we live in right. But the service and food are still great, as always. My family and I were very happy. Thank you.

The best hibachi around! I always love stopping by when I’m in Union county. It’s a consistent experience and the food is always delicious! The chefs do a nice show and are very engaging.

Surprisingly good Hibachi grill. Also, very good lunch menu and appetizers. They have happy hours drinks deals and parking is easy.

I really love the food here. I know they got a bad rap a couple years ago but I have found the food to be too notch and fresh.
