Absolutely love this place! The sewing classes are phenomenal. I’ve learned so much about sewing in just a few weeks and have really cute items from the classes. Their fabric selection is beautiful. It always takes me forever to decide because there’s so many gorgeous patterns to choose from! If you are interested in learning how to sew, this is the place.

I originally came to Urban Sewciety for their kids programs. My daughter has so much fun sewing new projects, that I couldn't resist. Their adult classes are just as amazing. Want to discover a new craft hobby? Stop by Urban Sewciety, you won't me disappointed. There is something for everyone. Also perfect for adult parties!

Ive taken three (soon to be four) classes at Urban Sewciety and they were amazing! I’ve never sewn before, so wanted to learn something new and this is the place to do it! The staff and teachers are so helpful and the classes are so much fun. Can’t wait for my next class !

I would highly recommend Urban Sewciety to anyone! I first came to Urban in the Summer of 2020 and it has become such a large part of my life since then. I've taken too many classes to count, but more importantly the sense of Community I feel there is unmatched. I've met so many amazing people, some of which I'm happy to report have become dear friends. All the instructors and staff members at Urban are talented, kind, and patient. It's so lovely to be able to look at all the things I've made there and how my skillset has improved over the years thanks to the classes. Thank you for helping me find my way back to my hobbies!

The classes are all amazing - I’ve taken sewing, crochet and knitting. I love all of the instructors. They are all so helpful and the store has a great variety of classes.

Took my daughter her for a pre-requisite parent & me class (required for most camps/classes) and she had a blast! The instructor and helper were very nice and patient providing step-by-step instruction on use of the sewing machine and how to make the project. The shop is also adorable with some great fabrics, notions and ideas. We look forward to going back.

I came in for a sip and sew workshop and we made wine bottle bags and we were able to personalize them. It was a lot of fun getting together with my best friends and stepping out of our comfort zones. The instructors and employees were more than helpful and were there for every step of the way. I will 100% be back again for another fun project!

Amazing staff, they are extremely helpful and patient! I’ve never touched a sewing machine and the sew experts made it very easy to learn! Great way to spend a fun night with friends and make something cute! Love my wine bottle tote ❤

The folks that work here are always friendly and there's a great selection of modern fabrics and quilting notions, but I especially recommend their longarmer, Valeria. She is super responsive, and I could tell she was as excited about my project as I was. She let me know when my quilt was loaded into the machine and let me proof it before she continued, and she finished an extremely dense quilt design in barely a week. I look forward to bringing her more quilts!

This is a wonderful place for sewists! A very nice shop and an unbelievable sewing/class space. Lots of room. Great equipment. Excellent lighting. Wonderful staff.

There is no place like Urban Sewciety! I have taken several classes and not only are they a blast, but you learn a ton and come home with beautiful pieces. The fabric they carry is top quality and the selection is endless - a one stop shop for anything you need. I couldn’t recommend this place enough - whether it be for a class or just things for a personal project!

I cannot say enough positive things about Urban SEWciety. I wanted to learn to sew as an adult, and started by taking three (3) private lessons to learn the basics. I was hooked, instantly. I followed by taking another private course for help with a personal project, a garments class, and then a quilting class. All instructors that I have worked with are knowledgeable, positive, and wonderful teachers. I have learned a lifelong skill, and went from not knowing how to do anything more than turn the machine on to confident in the craft. I am looking forward to signing up for more courses; I recommend that anyone considering to do so do not hesitate! The studio is warm, welcoming, and clean. They offer a variety of different brands of machines to work on, and can give you tips for using your home machine. The shop portion sells high quality materials as well; you can trust anything you buy and your education will be top notch.

I took a class here, and it was inspiring. The store is a gem full of goods for purchase. My class was full and instructors were engaging and positive.

Excellent long arm service with Valeria. Great ideas and advice during the consultation and she really cares that you will love your quilt. I have had several quilts long armed now and have been delighted every time. Valeria works quickly and to an excellent standard. Highly recommended.

A wonderful little shop in a convenient location in Westfield. The classes are competitively priced and fun for all ages, whether you're a kid at a birthday party, an adult looking to learn something new, or even searching for a unique gift, Urban Sewciety is a great stop!

In addition to the range of classes that are available, the fabric shop at US has a lot to offer too. Very cool patterns of fabric to choose from. I wish this store was around when I was making sorority letters in college!

Just a hop and a skip away from Westfield's central downtown, Urban Sewciety is a must-stop for any sewist in the area. This shop has it all - classes and workshops for all abilities and sewing interests, gorgeous high-quality designer fabric, and a whole range of tools and notions (some of which are even difficult to find online). They constantly have classes listed on their website, and are regularly rotating through subject matter so chances are you can find some sort of class or workshop that appeals to you. My kids have had great experiences at both birthday parties and sewing camps at the studio, and are always asking to sign up for more.

The staff is courteous and knowledgable, and their teachers are so friendly and have a wealth of information to share. In the past I have had a difficult time "breaking in" to the local sewing community; this is NOT the case here at all. Everyone is welcome, and you are always greeted with a smile from the owners, teachers, and staff. The classes, workshops, and SEWcials are set up in a way that it is easy to make a new local sewing friend!

The shop side is so cute, and they are regularly getting in new fabric and tools. The studio side is clean, spacious, and very well lit. It really is a great place to visit and an awesome environment to sew in! I highly recommend adding this to your list of must-visit Sewing Shops/Studios!

If you're looking to start up a new hobby or further increase your skills, Urban Sewciety is the place to go. They offer a wide selection of workshops, weekly classes for adults and children. They also offer camps during those holiday breaks from school. Mom's night out? No problem! In my opinion you can't go wrong with their " sip and stitch". Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy a night of sewing with your girlfriends!

Took an Adults Intro to sewing class. I was a little worried being a guy taking a sewing class. But it was a very fun and informative Class. Megan Took her time and went into details , she answered any questions I had. I will def take more classes and can't wait to tailor my own clothes!

Ms. Ellen is the best! She taught a dozen young girls (including my daughters who had never sewn before) to make cute drawstring bags in 2 hours this morning. I don’t know what’s more impressive: the fact that all the girls had a pride-worthy masterpiece before the end of class, or the fact that seeing her methodical, calm approach in action, you just knew it was all going to work out.
