It’s hard to believe that authentic Italian food can be healthy, but Millenonne made it possible. I went for a couple of times and I tried the meatballs, turkey lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, the chocolate pudding and Pannacotta and everything was amazing. Super tasty, delicious and with the best ingredients.
The owners are also amazing, super sweet and welcoming.

A must if you are in the city.

I work in the neighborhood, and I get lunch from Mille Nonne about two to three times a week. Such love and care goes into the food and Bernardo and Pilar are such wonderful people. I am someone who has to be very particular about my diet, but I also miss eating Italian. Mille Nonne has me covered, offering vegan options with all natural ingredients. Perfection!

These people are just really lovely. My favorite dishes are both lasagnas and the eggplant parmigiana. Had a sandwich once too and it was very good. Good bread, which is rare. The taste of the lasagnas reminds me of a pasta Al uovo in Rome.. and/ or casual but delicious food that you’d find in a city market during lunch time. They hook it up with free cookies and generous portions most of the time.

Such a discovery! Usually, you don't expect to find healthy food in food courts. And this place actually serves organic healthy food made with love, which you feel with each bite! We came with a friend to the Essex market almost before closing, so a lot of places were closed, except this..... I'm glad we ate here. My friend and I tried two types of lasagna one with spinach and ricotta and another with turkey, also gnocchi with pesto and ricotta tiramisu...yeah we were hungry. Everything was delicious! I could eat this turkey lasagna until the end of my life.....sooo good😋! The owner Pilar is a very nice lady, who created the healthier versions if Italian food items for their menu, she said that they use turkey because it has the least impact on nature. I don't eat pork and try to eat healthy, so this place is a perfect match for me! I definitely will be back, will recommend to everyone!

Meatball sub was awesome, meat and sauce very flavorful and quite filling and bread fresh and crisp. The homemade lemonade was also nice and the people were very friendly. I’d definitely stop by again if I’m in the neighborhood. If you pass by at the right time you can see the comically large bowl of ground meat they use for the meatballs, definitely snap a pic (I was busy chatting).

Update: dropped by the food court again, got to try the daily special pasta and a new salted caramel panna cotta. Also noted that the lemonade is now in bigger cups. The pasta was excellent; the eggplant was particularly creamy and flavorful. The salted caramel panna cotta is definitely more on the savory side, whereas the original is more traditionally sweet. I personally like savory more but if you have more or a sweet tooth consider the original.

I also got a chance to try their vegan pesto, which was amazing. While not an exact replica of non-vegan pesto, it definitely fills the same role and has a very rich flavor. While they currently don’t sell it separately from the pasta dishes, please do inquire if you like it and I imagine they will offer it in time.

What a very pleasant surprise! I had the vegetarian lasagna and Pilar (the owner) gave me a thumb print cookie as a gift. The lasagna was perfectly balanced, delicate and delicious, I was not expecting this surprise!

I've been coming to Mille Nonne since they opened, the food is really good.the owners are great people. Every Wednesday is pasta day for me, so when I show up I'm always greeted with Ciao Anthony, and good conversation. They make you feel like family.

Every restaurant should be like them. Not only is the food just wonderful and healthy.... and delicious they are actually a business who cares about sustainability and the environment.
Today I had a meatball sub ( turkey meatballs had spinach and quinoa) and it was delicious. People there are also really nice. Will definitely be going there again soon.

So while I waited for my bag to be repaired by D'Alex tailors I went to La Marketa on Delancey and Essex. I was looking for lunch when I found my dessert. What a pleasant surprise to find vegan chocolate pudding. It was supposed to have caramelized orange but they ran out so they offered me the option of mixed berries ( chocolate and berries one of my favorite combos). The chocolate was rich, pudding texture was perfect and the berries were a delight. I will return and if this pudding is an example of the culinary talent I can't wait.

Fresh healthy alternative to Italian food. Huge portions and the owners are so sweet and down to earth. They had us taste a few of their original creations. Thank you again!

Very nice staff. You can tell they thoughtfully source their products. I had the signature sub which has turkey, spinach and quinoa meatballs in tomato sauce with grana padana and pecorino, which is pictured. The bread was delicious and crispy. It’s a nice place to grab lunch.

Tried their signature turkey lasagne and gnocchi with pesto on separate days and absolutely loved them! Also got their turmeric olive oil cookies, which I end up thinking about for days.

I appreciated the real Italian taste, I came back at "Bel Paese"! You have to eat some pastas or meatballs sub to understand me. If you haven't tried Italian food yet, this is the real place to start eating.
The meatballs sub s price is 9.50$.

There aren’t many true Italians that make Vegan food taste like amazing Italian food and Mille Nonne hits the bullseye. Their chocolate vegan pudding is to die for! Their vegan pesto gnocchi are delicious! My friend that’s not vegan also ate the Lasagna and told me it was the best she ever had. I recommend this place whole heartedly . The owners and cook are from Rome Italy and one can taste the authenticity of the dishes! Thumbs up!
