I had extensive dental work completed by Dr. Coy after multiple fractures to my mandible in an accident. All root canals and crowns were completed flawlessly and on time with my insurance deadline. Their office took care of all tedious insurance claim issues through the accidental dental program in my insurance policy. My experience was great luckily. He is one of the very few dentists that accept the negotiated price from my insurance company and does not expect the remaining balance to be paid by me....not sure if this applies to all insurance claims through Dr. Coy but I am grateful.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Coy since he began his practice. It is because he is very good at what he does that he is so busy. He is also honest and will not recommend treatments that you do not need as other dentists we have been to prior to Dr. Coy have done. The wait is well worth his level of care and professionalism.

I've been going to Dr Coy forever. As someone who gets extreme anxiety with dental visits and has had very painful experiences in past, it is awesome to know I have nothing to worry about with Dr Coy. I have not had one bad experience with him, and have had extensive dental work done.

They call ahead to remind you, let you know when they're running late, and will fit you in if they can. They don't protest when you drop by with a painful tooth. They smile!

I’ve been a patient for over 10 years now and I have decided to find a new dentist. I very seldom see Dr. Coy and my appointments were rescheduled numerous times. I was always used to my dentist checking my teeth after they were cleaned. Not the case with Dr. Coy. I try to go every six months but I’ve gone well over a year, maybe even two years, before I actually see him. He doesn’t seem to show up much.

I have been a patient at Dr Coys office for about 4 years now. Throughout this time I have had a couple root canals and few cleanings. His dental hygienists for the most part are amazing. There is one woman with an accent that lacked bedside manners, but over all she was okay. I say few cleanings, because Dr Coy is notorious for canceling cleaning appointments. My son is a year old now and the last time I had a cleaning I was pregnant. I looked at my calendar and they rescheduled my appointment FIVE times. One time they told me Dr Coy was on vacation so he closed the whole office for a week! What?!?!?!? I asked the receptionist why I wasn’t first in line to get a cleaning and someone else gets rescheduled, she began to rudely tell me that she has been cancelling 30 patients a day for the last 4 months because of only having 2 receptionists. I said okay, “but this is the fourth time (I didn’t realize until we hung up it was actually the 5th) you guys have cancelled my appointment, therefore, I should be first.” She told me, “the system doesn’t have who has been canceled before.” I told her she needed a new system. I know for sure that if I canceled too many times that would have record of it, why is t it reverse. It’s the end of April and I was told they are booking out until June. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to and she told me they will just tell me the same thing. She told me she didn’t have time to keep telling me the same thing over and over. I just feel like she could have cancelled someone else for tomorrow and gave me the spot, but she told me she can’t cancel someone she’s already confirmed. That’s just my complaint with trying to get a cleaning. If you have an emergency, expect to wait the same amount of time. I had a broken tooth and it took me over a month to be seen. And he didn’t even fix it. He told me I needed a root canal and to schedule my next appointment, which was another month wait. He really drags ot out for the money. It took me two more visits to get it fixed. And don’t expect to be the only patient he’s working on at that time. To really make the money, he schedules multiple patients at the same time, so while your “numbing” he will work on someone else. Expect to be there for a while if you need some real work to be done. And hope you have insurance, because he likes to see you a lot before it’s actually fixed! He is all about making that money. I am surprised he has 3 star rating. That’s way too good in my opinion. I have family and friends that also go to Dr Coys office and they all say the same thing.

Have been seeing Dr. Coy for 2 years. His dental techs are awesome--I had no issue with the excellent cleanings but was skeptical of all the crowns he said were needed (5 in two years). The last crown repair has been a nightmare. I was heading back for a 3rd time to fix it, but got a nasty infection -(it was loose and food got underneath it). Dr. Coy gave me a script for an antibiotic that was not working--after a horrific night of 10 plus pain I called his office this morning for a more powerful script-only to be told he only prescribes two antis and the one I wasn't on was weaker than the one I was on. Period---no suggestions--no empathy--just oh well. I had to get a script from my primary and I will not be going back to Dr. Coy. I think crowns are where he makes his money. The ones he did were of inferior material that the ones he replaced, my bite shifted and it took painful months for my mouth to adjust. Nice enough guy---not a very good dentist.

My family has gone here for years, the last crown they put on my tooth fell off.. Had multiple calls to the office for them to correct it and the receptionist said it was fine to come in at 2:30 this Thursday. My company switched insurances on us effective 2019, I mentioned this to the woman on the phone. Upon checking in I inquired if she needed my new insurance card per our phone discussion, she acted as if she knew nothing, said “there’s nothing in my notes” we will have to bill you the full amount and you can take it up with the insurance company. I then told her I was not comfortable with that, as insurance companies are difficult to deal with, she said “that’s not my problem.” I asked to speak to the fentist himself as this was a poor job and the crown fell out due to poor work. She told me I could not talk to him unless I am fulfilling my appointment. The facial expressions and the tone of her voice was beyond rude, she again reinstated that it isn’t her responsibility to keep up with my insurance despite the 4 calls I made to ensure everything was all set prior to me taking a PTO day to correct this crown! I told her I can get an infection waiting on another appointment she said “I don’t care, next in line please”

Yet another cancelled appt today. Office confirmed the appt yesterday for a filling for our 12 year old and then today states that "something came up" according to the receptionist, and they need to reschedule. (2nd time being rescheduled by the office, with months of waiting in between appt times). It appears that a poor review due to neglect and lack of appropriate dental care has caused continued cancellations for us. Unfortunate, but not surprising.

My family and I have been going to this dental office for years. Luckily we haven't had many emergent situations that required anything outside of regular cleanings. However, on 3-18-21, I called the office for an appt. as our 11 year old daughter had tooth/gum pain and I asked that she be seen. I was told that the earliest appt was March 30th (12 days) from then. Supposedly no emergency appts were available or any time set aside for patients that need to be seen, so I guess an eleven year old child in pain can wait 12 days to be seen based on their thinking. Thankfully, we found another office to see her. We are completely astounded that a dental practice can even operate or provide dental assistance in this way....

I've been a patient of Dr. Coy along with my family for several years. I don't understand a dentist that will not see you for three weeks when you have a tooth ache . They did not even offer to give me some Penicillin. How can you have a dentist they can not help you when your in pain. About 2 years ago I went to him for another tooth, and he told me he could not pull it, I would have to go to a surgeon to get it pulled. I am very disappointed in his service. I went to Dr. Rosinski in New York Mill and he pulled it with no problem. I will now be going to Aspen Dental. They said anytime you have an issue we will get you in to at least look at you issue. Think and ask questions before you become a patient of any dentist.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I’ve been going to Dr. Coy for two years and have only actually seen him once out of the 4 appointments I’ve had there. He does not do emergency visits and we had to travel elsewhere to get the emergency assistance we needed. After this last visit where he was in the office and was too busy to see me after my cleaning, I will be seeking a new dentist.

Cancelled at least 10 appointments over the past 2 years for my entire family. Not sure what is going on at this office but I would not recommend it!
