Cafe Grumpy - Financial District

Stopped by here to grab an iced chai latte with oat milk before work and it was good. Drinks were mad really quickly and I ended up sitting here for 15-30 minutes before heading to the office. Might try the honey oat latte next time!

Friendly, friendly, friendly! Welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. I had an Americano (Heartbreaker Espresso) with the cardamom coffee cake. 1960's comic book BAM ... POW! Cardamom coffee cake is fl of flavor, a floral explosion that softens to a wonderful, soft woodland flowery spiciness. The medium body Espresso brings out a nutmeg finish yet introduces a lift to the cardamom. Extraordinary experience.

Snug coffee shop in Financial District. On weekends, this place is spacious with a cozy seating area. (I haven’t been there during the week, so maybe it’s a different situation then?) Service is top quality - the lates here are delightful!

I don’t recall there being a bathroom at this location.

If you sick of Starbucks and you are around this area, this is the place to grab a good coffee. One bad thing is no restroom, you must go to next door to use one. But I guess this just general thing in Manhattan😂

Decent coffee with a cool vibe. Really apt for a coffee place to go with “grumpy” for a coffee place, which is basically the state of most coffee people before having their first sip of espresso. Good range of pastries.

Love this cute coffee shop with great pastries. Nice for an afternoon espresso or matcha latte & a snack. Cozy area to sit in the back plus a communal table & window bar - perfect for people watching.

Really well executed espresso. Each visit consistently yielded a dialed in shot, even with different baristas. The cold brew was also great. Don't let the name scare you, the folks here are just focused on nailing the coffee...and that's what you came here for, right?
