Pearl Dental NYC

When I initially visited Pearl Dental NYC for an AirFlow polishing, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. I encountered issues with the service, including the staff’s unfamiliarity with the AirFlow technology, which resulted in an uncomfortable visit. Additionally, there were unexpected billing issues that added to my dissatisfaction.

However, I believe in giving credit where it’s due. After posting my initial review, the management at Pearl Dental NYC, particularly Tatyana Pavlova, the office manager, reached out to me. They were genuinely concerned about my experience and took immediate action to address the issues I had raised. They offered a sincere apology and provided a comprehensive explanation for the missteps during my visit, including the billing confusion. To rectify the situation, they processed a refund for the out-of-pocket expenses I incurred and extended an invitation for a complimentary follow-up appointment with Dr. Tatiana Perlroth.

I accepted their offer and am delighted to report that my latest visit was exemplary. Dr. Perlroth and her team went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction, providing an experience that truly made me feel valued. The attention to detail, professionalism, and care I received were outstanding, leading me to reconsider my stance on the practice.

In light of their proactive approach to customer service and their commitment to making things right, I feel it’s only fair to update my review. Pearl Dental NYC has demonstrated that they value patient feedback and are dedicated to continuous improvement. My recent experience with them has been a testament to their high standards of care and their willingness to go the extra mile for their patients.

Dr. Tatiana P. is a magician! I have been going to her office for the past 3 years and every time it has been a pleasure seeing her. I recently had a chipped tooth (a big one) and of course I ran straight back to her. Here is the before and after picture if it helps to anyone else in a similar situation. She made sure it was perfect using the best material out there to make the filling strong and match the color to my own tooth. She mentioned that the filling she used was chameleon material and it adopts to my tooth color. It will also adopt in the future if I were to get a whitening. How amazing!

Dr. Tatiana is always attentive and she never hesitates to take extra time to make things are perfect. I feel taken care and in safe hands during every single of my visits. Thank you Dr. Tatiana for being an amazing doctor and a wonderful human being. I am lucky to have found her as my dentist.

It's quite unusual to say that going to the dentist is a pleasure, but with Dr. Tatiana Perlroth, it's always the case. The hygienist, Angie, also did an incredible job, making the entire process smooth and easy. The new space is the cherry on top. Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience. Dr. Perloth did an expert job placing two crowns in my mouth a single day of two visits. She explained each step of the process and took great care from start to finish. Her professionalism and friendliness was matched by the same from her lovely staff. I highly recommend Pearl be if you are looking for an excellent dentist in the City.

Update: It turns out my insurance still covers most of the cost even though they are now out-of-network, and Pearl has been super nice and offered to waive the remaining balance (which ended up being ~$200 total) due to the miscommunication over their change in network status and over the final bill.

I'd continue recommending Pearl Dental, my previous experiences with them have all been great :)

If you are a returning patient at Pearl Dental, please note that they have recently become out-of-network with most insurance providers, as of time of writing (June 2023).

I visited them several times in the past while they were still in-network with my dental insurance (Guardian), and didn't have any complaints. On my most recent visit though, I found out that they were no longer in-network with my insurance, leaving me with potentially a $1000+ bill for a routine checkup and two fillings (I'm still waiting for insurance to finalize the amount)

I just wished they had communicated more clearly the fact that they have gone out-of-network, instead of waiting for me to finish my routine checkup, schedule a follow-up appointment for two fillings, get them both done, before informing me of this change. The receptionist said they "sent a mail" notification... what mail? I have two other friends who visit Pearl Dental as well and none of them received this "mail".

I don't have any complaints about the dental work though, it's been great. Sorry for leaving a bad review, I just don't want other returning patients to make the same mistake as I did.

Pearl Dental is outstanding!!!! The staff is amazing! They are excellent in all the work they do and it’s painless! Sheer perfection! Love the new office space too. So much more convenient. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! If you are looking for a great dentist office, this is it!!!!

I highly recommend going to Pearl Dental for any and all dental needs!!! I’ve been going to them for the last five years with no issues. I always leave happy. They’ve moved to a different location and I’m still faithfully following them. Safe to say I will follow them to the moon because I hate going to the dentist as much as the next person and their wonderful bedside manners and gentle hygienists make it hard to even consider going somewhere closer.

Dr. Perloth is the best! She goes above and beyond to keep you comfortable and anxiety-free during all dental procedures. She has great recommendations for outside specialists when needed. She’s the best! Her new offices are modern and exceptionally clean, as always.

Excellence on every level ! Highly recommend this practice and Dr. Makinde! All of the staff are incredibly professional, kind and thorough. Dr. Makinde did a crown on my canine tooth and it looks absolutely perfect and feels great. The procedure was done in one day with care and extra attention to detail. I truly could not be more grateful for the entire experience and the end result. If you have major dental work to get done, go see Dr Makinde !

NYC is a particularly hard place to find great doctors and dentists that aren’t just trying to rush in and out patients. I’ve FINALLY found a great dentist with Dr. Fang and overall caring team with Pearl Dental. The team was very helpful and attentive with checking my insurance and provided such a smooth process with text reminders. Highly recommend!

Dr. Perlroth and her team truly care and it shows. They are super knowledgable about their craft and will go above and beyond to make sure you get the best. The staff is always so warm, friendly, and attentive. Dr. Perlroth always goes the extra mile to make sure your dental work is high-quality and long-lasting.

Hands so wonderful!!! Dr Perlroth is the BEST at making sure I don’t feel any pain. She is thoughtful and caring yet extremely knowledgeable and experienced! I flew up from Florida to have her work on my teeth!

I met Dr. Tatiana Perlroth when she took over the practice of my then dentist, Dr. Anthony Chillura, upon his retirement. What a bit of luck!
Dr. Perlroth has a very modern and much appreciated philosophy that guides her dental practice. She offers expert dental care with a gentle touch using Biomimetics, advanced technology and a conviction to retain the natural teeth. It is with reluctance that she supplants natural teeth with artificial replacements. Dr. Perlroth’s professional and support staff are as patient and committed as she is.
A few weeks ago, I saw Dr. Perlroth’s new suite of offices in the iconic Woolworth Building. It is bright, beautiful and comfortable.

super great experience. jessica did a beautiful job with my cleaning after not having been to dentist in over five years. great communication all around from reception team to tech to doctor. clean and tidy facilities. highly recommend.

What can I NOT say about pearl dental. They are simply amazing. From my favorite girl Miriam at the front desk, to the dental assist Dasha & of course my dentist DR Coley! I have nothing but praises for Dr. Tatiana Perlroth and her team. I went for a second opinion for a root canal which had cracked, and she was highly professional, believes in less work is better (when possible), and very patiently explains all my options and procedures to me. This was not a surprise however as good friends who have been patients of Dr. Perlroth recommended her to me. I am continued to be impressed by Dr. Perlroth and her assistants during each successive visit, even when they’re routine visits.

I love Pearl Dental! They are great with appointment reminders. I have very sensitive teeth and their dental technicians are always so kind and gentle with my teeth cleanings. They really invest a lot of care in their patients. Revi was my technician today and she had great bedside manner. Their team is very friendly, professional and welcoming! I always have positive experiences every time I go for my cleanings. I highly recommend Pear dental, even those of us that have dentist anxiety lol

I created the hashtag #ILoveMyDentist because I don't think most people do like their dentist and I find it frustrating that there is such high quality care available and that more people are not taking advantage of this practice!

I am always surprised and delighted by how much Dr. Perlroth cares and respects her patients, enrolling you to care about your health as much as she does. She is gentle, caring, knowledgeable and foremost, wants you to be comfortable with every part of every procedure she is performing.

The office is modern and beautiful, the staff is helpful, friendly and professional, they always offer water and the exam chairs have a gentle massage function while you are being examined! They have an ipad room to fill out forms and they do as much as possible to help you with insurance questions and paperwork.
