This is an amazing coffee shop that is a great place to get some homework done. The lady was so nice she knew her stuff about the items here. Everything is made there and taste amazing.

Can a cup of coffee change your life? Maybe not, but it can make your whole day better, if it's a great cup of coffee. This is truly outstanding coffee. After not having been here for years (no excuse}, someone at work brought me a cup of dark roast, and it was like the skies clearing and angels singing! I drank it black, which I never ever do. TRY THE DARK ROAST.

Life is too short for mediocre coffee. You owe it to yourself to get the best. The atmosphere and vibe is laid back, the staff is knowledgeable and welcoming, and the tables don't wobble.

My all time favorite coffee house and roaster. Excellent pastries and the coffee is the best. Always friendly staff in an excellent location. I have been coming here on and off since 1982 (back before there was seating). Sacramento has been dramatically changing but Coffee Works has stood the test of taste and time.

Great place to have a Sunday morning coffee and pastry !!! Cinnamon rolls are huge and coffee is good ! A different atomsphere than your Starbucks and Peets . If you are looking for something different and original it’s a must go early or walk as parking is limited .

Decided to try this place while in East Sacramento and I’m glad I did. Great breakfast burritos, really good coffee, and the muffins are amazing. Staff was also very friendly. Only problem with the location is the parking but besides that this place is awesome. Update: Finally came back after a couple months and I still love this place. 4.8/5.

5/5 stars for this coffee shop, I love their drinks and their pastries are so worth it to buy. My kids love coming again and again here. Great job guys!

This is my first time here. Still sitting enjoying my food/coffee. It’s a bit hard for me to leave an unbiased review because I like this place so much already 💯

What a find! I’m not in this area often but when I am, I will definitely get my caffeine fix here. I ordered several pastries that were all very delicious. The breakfast scone had ham and cheese and had an awesome balance of savory with a touch of sweet. Also ordered the jalapeño scone which had bacon. Also sweet and savory. The pumpkin bread was very moist with a nice rich cream cheese frosting. The chocolate chip cookie and blueberry muffin both looked good but I didn’t get a chance to taste it before they were inhaled by someone else. I ordered an iced hot chocolate because I was curious. I expected it to be chocolate milk with ice. I was wrong. It was delicious. I tried to order one at my local Starbucks with absolutely no luck! Quick service cute little place. I will definitely return next time I’m in the area.

THE BREAKFAST FOCACCIA. THE BREAKFAST FOCACCIA. I freaking love the breakfast focaccia. Just moved to East Sac a few weeks ago and during the move, my wife ran around the corner to grab coffee. She also bought me breakfast and the rest was history. Coffee is great too. Good quality products. I highly recommend this place!

How did I not know about this place? Came here to work and had a decaf latte with an apple walnut scone which was amazing! They have delicious/ fresh baked goods and lots of tasty drinks and coffee choices. There is parking on the side of the building and their wifi is great. Infact, I'm writing this review from here now. haha. Definitely will be coming back :)

I always leave this local coffee shop with a smile on my face! The employees are exceptional! They are so friendly and really go out of their way to make moment a good one. The coffee and teas are excellent and they have a good selection.

If you love SCONES do not miss these ones!!! They also have other pastries, quiches and great sandwiches.

What a great stop for espresso and breakfast burrito. Great location. Local vibe. Friendly staff. Lots of sweet and savory menu items. Quick or leisurely meal. This will be part of a new routine.

I have tried coffee from many places, including the big names. This coffee is truly the BEST! It get's me perked up, no tummy aches or feeling queasy, no headaches. It's clean and fresh! Other brands and shops just don't compare...

Cool place, outdoor seating under a wood beam trellis. Both pastries and food items to choose from. They had a vegetarian breakfast burrito that was good. Priced better than Pachamama Coffee place. Limited parking in back down the alley. Friendly staff.
