The goats greeted us as we got onto the island. They were very curious and wanted us to buy them food at the little dispenser at the building on the island. The largest one had his mouth glued to the dispenser so they've figured that out! It was a fun spot to stop on the river!

I share the same experience as the other visitors! Lol My stepson and I kayaked to the island today and were NOT aware of the machine to feed the goats!? Thankfully someone left 50 cents on top of the dispenser BUT the BIG goat hogged it all!! Lol It was a fun and unique experience 😊🐐

Last Sunday my husband and I kayak around it. These goats are amusing to watch while fishing. I've never seen a goat run but these happy goats are well taken care of.

Goat Island has become a staple of Jefferson for me. The best part is having a Business in town now that offers Kayak and Canoe rentals to allow you a chance to visit the Goats on Goat Island. If you are wondering, the Goats are super friendly and always excited to have visitors.
