Old Drovers Inn

We had a big multi-generation family gathering here in April 2024. The food and drinks (dinner and breakfast) were excellent. Service was incredible. The rooms all had so much character and were so well cared for, I would recommend highly. My daughter forgot her favorite stuffed animal and they let me know as soon as the found it and generously helped us reunite them.

My wife and I wanted to get re-married (we'd been divorced for five years), and wanted an intimate, quiet place that was convenient but off the beaten path to renew our love for each other. We had been to the Inn a few times in the past, so we contacted Jeff (the owner) and Helene (the wedding coordinator) to see about availability. They could not have been more welcoming and open to any and all of our ideas. We just loved the ambiance of the place, as did our small group of 26 guests. We rented the lovely four bedroom home they own just down the street for our kids and grandkids, and that was perfect! Food and service was excellent, we felt their prices were quite reasonable, and all in all we had a wonderful start to our renewed life together!

Best decision we made! Helene and her staff were amazing!! The venue is breathtaking and staying on-site was so convenient. Helene was an absolute angel and had everything covered before we even asked. Her staff is exceptional and took extra care with our guests to ensure they were taken care of. If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with the best staff, food and lodging, The Old Drover’s Inn is it!

Had a small family wedding/ceremony here and it was fantastic. They went above our expectations and put it all together in less than a week. Can't wait to go back again for another event or just for a dinner out.

Such a truly memorable experience staying at Old Drovers Inn for a wedding this past weekend! The grounds are absolutely gorgeous during the Fall season, and the customer service is top-notch (special shout out to Jeff for consistently going above and beyond). The breakfast was also delicious. I highly recommend this Inn for those looking for a unique, historic location with dedicated and caring staff that pay attention to the finer details.

We loved everything about this inn, including the staff who went above and beyond, our delicious dinner and breakfast, and the fabulous character of this old inn. It takes you back in time. Can’t wait to go back!

We spent a night at the Inn and enjoyed a great dinner (corned beef and cabbage in honor of St. Patrick’s Day).

Service was great; staff was great; room was great. Two constructive criticisms: no lighting over the sink in the bathroom; the bed height is a challenge for shorter folks.

My wife and I went their for dinner for our anniversary and what a amazing place. The food was delicious and the staff was great! Randy is a great bartender and makes the best drinks. Very friendly and great to talk to. We loved the old feel of the building and it’s original beauty. We will be back again soon!

Pub menu only the Wed. Night I went. Randy there bartender is a joy and creates beautiful cocktails. Pub menu is small but plentiful, don't hesitate-food and staff are fantastic.

Have never been there. It will now be our go to place. Food was excellent and staff and service beyond great. Very festive for holidays.

We went for our Anniversary, Julie our waitress was very attentive .
I have allergies, and she made sure to notify chief, and she doubled checked to
make sure it was safe for me to eat. Everything was amazing , staff, food, drinks. and
bathroom was very clean. We will be revisiting several times. It is now our favorite restaurant.
Randy was also very helpful prior to our reservation. He called us right back, and sent us a menu to view. We went to look at menu on website prior to coming, it was not updated. This

A truly wonderful experience! There maybe choices for beautiful and historic Inns in and around the Northeast. However, Old Drovers Inn stands out due the wonderful charm, satisfying restaurant-on premises, and exceptional distance the staff, (Jeff) will go to, making your stay a memorable experience. I wish them the best, and extend my gratitude for their hospitality.

We had dinner at Old Drovers Inn with another couple, and it was a super experience. The waitresses were very friendly and more attentive than I have ever experienced. Attention to detail is amazing. Laura was so good at allowing us the ability to enjoy the meal and timing of courses was impeccable. Great ambience right in front of the fireplace.
The meal was exquisite and prepared beautifully. We all had a different Entree, and each of us were amazingly impressed with presentation and flavor. My NY strip steak was delicious, and the rest in our party were equally pleased with their meal.

We were there as part of large group.
Food was very good. Service was excellent. We were in the "barn"..... and it was so clean, modern and large. The have coat racks so no one has to sit with coats. Nicely decorated. High ceilings. Lots of windows. Plenty of parking.

I'm live in Dover and my boyfriend works here this is not me being at all biased when I say this place is one of the best places I have eaten at in a while I had the salmon and it was so good!
The staff was really sweet and the dessert was just as sweet.
It's small and homey and really this place is gem would definitely eat here again!

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at Preston Barn. We highly recommend this venue as the setting was beautiful, the food delicious, and the staff was friendly, courteous and very attentive to service and detail. Lauren and Helene truly listened to our vision for the reception and made every last detail happen, even being open to trying new decor for the venue. Most important, they were timely in their response to our emails and if they needed to find out information, they were quick to get back to us. July 20, 2019 was 96 degrees but you would never have known it inside the barn! Thanks to Preston Barn's wonderful employees they were polite and enthusiastic to be sure we had the night of our dreams. I would highly recommend this beautiful venue.

I had an awesome experience! I had to make a quick last minute visit to the area and Erin was very helpful on the phone, checked me right, was very accommodating and very friendly.
The building and grounds are beautiful. My room was immaculate, comfortable and I really enjoyed the original historical feel.
Breakfast was delicious!

Simply a guest at my son's wedding. Food and service remarkable, a bonfire for the wedding and the rehearsal dinner. Helene definitely hosts an excellent wedding.

Excellent dinner service. Excellent food (I had AMAZING pan seared scallops with Brussels sprouts) We expected a nice dining experience and high quality food and were not disappointed. Plus, we were pleasantly surprised with the final bill.
