Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. It's a old school restaurant and I strongly recommend everyone make time to get here. The service is great as is the whiskey offerings, which was a pleasant surprise at an Italian place.

Spent a wonderful afternoon with family today. Food was fantastic and served by staff who really made us feel welcomed. Chatted with the owner Dylan who grew up here. A nice, intimate restaurant. Try it.

This place was amazing. We have my sister-in-laws baby shower there today and what a great time! The owner and staff did an amazing job so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this place!

Great food and such a nice staff! Small, cozy place with plenty of parking at the Glen Head train station. Can’t believe I haven’t been until now. Really good menu. The stuffed artichoke, tender, lemony chicken & veal francese, and bolognese special made with chicken/veal/pork/duck were all delicious! Look forward to coming back, especially to try all the dishes with the name Ernesto’s in it.

We sat next to a couple that came directly from LGA and a guy sitting at the bar said he dines there every week!

Ernesto's is a north shore treasure and our family's favorite restaurant! We have been been going there since 2006 when Ernie and his wife owned it. We have enjoyed countless outstanding meals at Ernesto's with our friends and extended family.

We are so happy that Dylan, Ernesto's amazing chef, and outstanding staff continued to build on the strong foundation Ernie created. We wish Dylan continued success and hope to enjoy many more delicious meals and top-notch service!!!

We've lived here for 11 years and never tried Ernesto's. We went last night for our anniversary and couldn't have been more happily surprised. The food was fantastic and the service was great. We're going to make up for lost time by heading to Ernesto's whenever family or friends are in town. What a gem for Glen Head; so glad we've discovered it finally. We recommend this place heartily - but it's an intimate setting so make sure to check for a table or make reservations before you go.

Loved dinner last night! The salmon over pesto was awesome (thanks for letting us 'adjust' the nights special to swap the chicken for salmon) as well as the chicken valdostano.

Lovely place, very quaint with a cool history of being a German butcher shop originally. We happened to stop in on a Thursday after being recommended by local friends. Dylan (the owner) was lovely along with the rest of the staff being attentive. Ceasar salad to split, the Tortellini Ernesto (no peas, substituted with mushrooms) and the Chicken Milanese. There was enough for leftovers! And the tiramisu that we took to go was by far the BEST both of us had ever had.

Be sure to stop in to this classic Italian eatery. Dylan seems to have the right idea keeping the original menu and adding new and inventive specials! We had the eggplant rollatini, sauteed mushrooms, stuffed artichoke and penne a la vodka which were all delish. Highly recommend...

This has been our favorite special-occasion restaurant for decades! Delicious food and outstanding service every time we go. Dylan and his team are the best. The pork chop Milanese is out of this world! We also love the arugula salad.

Our first time out, after finally being vaccinated, Ernestos East did not disappoint. Dylan and his crew were spot on. Warm friendly atmosphere. Staff was attentive but not overbearing. Chilean sea bass special was out of this world. The mussels in white wine were fresh and amazing. Chicken sorrentino awesome and There is a secret item not on the menu. Ask about it, it’s great. Can’t wait to go back.

My wife and I love Ernesto's. The food and service are great, the staff treats you like family and we always feel super comfortable and safe eating here. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a delicious and quiet evening with a nice relaxing ambiance.

Warm, friendly atmosphere. It feels like your eating at a really good friends home.The food is always fresh and specials are updated regularly. Portions are ample, service is fine.
This is not only our favorite spot in the neighborhood, but our friends come from far away and ask us to go there as well. Karen along with Ernie's fickle sense of humor only add to the positive experience. Don't tell them, but its not expensive either... John

Exactly what you dreamed of when you wanted a small, quaint, intimate, local Italian restaurant. Dylan & his team are on point with service & food. I am a fan & will be back again & again.

Food was awesome. Wild mushrooms were absolutely delish. Calamari tender. And we all cleaned out pasta plates. Definitely on my favorite list.

Alex is the most personal waiter ever.

My family has been patronizing Ernesto's for numerous years and have never been disappointed. Friendly atmosphere, friendly servers and reasonably priced GOURMET DINING!!! Ask for Alex and he will graciously make your evening a pleasant one!!!!

Ernesto’s East is definitely maintaining its great reputation for exceptional food and service. We’re lucky to have this gem of a restaurant in our area.

Great italian food. Changed owners but still the same chef and food is A-maze-ing!! Right by glen head train station too. Convenient!
