I was in this store tonight and was amazed at how hard these girls were working. There was so much to do and it was very busy but they treated each and every person with complete kindness. Especially the girl at the register by the door. I had never been in there before but felt completely welcomed. I love seeing this in a world that lacks examples like this. Well done girls💜

Easy place to take your clothes for resale.

I keep going back for more! They have all the latest styles and brands. You can try on the clothes here too. I got so many cute camies for only 6 dollars each! The price is right when you like to look fresh! I get text about sales so I can get even more amazing deals.

I like all Plato's locations, but I feel like this store take their time when doing a buy and actually looks through all the clothes. I always find something new and I feel like I make good money when I bring in items. When I visit my sister in the area I always make sure to go though my clothes!

Stopped in today with 2 bags of clothes, purses, and jewelry. Everyone was very pleasant, and they text me right away when my items were done being looked at. Same pleasant experience when I came back to pick up my items, and although they did not buy that much, the money they offered for what they did take, was more than I expected! Definitely will go back again!! Kudos to you guys!

I love the option to trade in or sell my gently used clothes and accessories. I scored a brand new pair of Coach sneakers this way. 🙌 On the other hand, getting cash for my stuff is quick and easy. I also love shopping the store and recently got a pretty Steve Madden bag for a great price. Plato's Closet is absolutely worth a visit!

It was a fantastic experience! Amber, Ashley, and Hillary did a great job explaining how to sell clothing to Plato's, and were overall SUPER helpful! What the store had to offer was bar none too. Bought a pair of gently used Under Armour tennis shoes for....wait for it... $20!! Great service and great products, what else could you ask for?!

I honestly don’t tend to write too many location reviews, but the Pleasant Prairie Plato’s Closet location more than deserves it! I stopped in with my fiancé, who had an absolute TON of like-new clothes to sell following a closet clean-out, mostly American Eagle with some Hollister mixed in there as well. It did take a little bit longer to process through them than expected, but being as we came in with two large cardboard boxes packed tight, I still consider things relatively speedy, especially since only one staff member was handling everything up front - we unfortunately didn’t get her name, but she was awesome!

Once everything was processed, we were offered a bit over $150 for about half of what we brought in, which was FAR more than we came in expecting - especially since we had originally just planned to donate it anyways! We even found some things for ourselves while waiting, including a pair of great condition Timberland boots for a mere $30 - perfect for toughing out the remaining winter months.

After reading so many reviews slamming Plato’s Closet for what was accepted, we were a bit wary but ended up leaving thrilled with the experience - we’ll definitely be back to both buy and sell!

The workers here are super nice!! I drive 35 minutes away when I have a platos closet down the street from me(the libertyville one 🤮). They always take a good variety of clothing and always tell you exactly what was wrong with the stuff they didn’t take. Not sure why the other reviewers disagree, I’ve made over $120 in one day from there!!

Fantastic deals today. Wanted to also mention Hilary, she was AMAZING! It was like first base Hillary, second base Hilary, third base Hilary :) It was quite busy tonight with the clearance. People were coming in to sell and pick up. People were calling. People asking questions and checking out. All the while Hilary kept her cool and was completely collected. Next time I hope there is a better team effort. Hilary you rocked it!

Why not upset, because they were nice, they told me two people ahead of me, anyone who is a business person & I am, understands this.They were expanding & when things are new takes time. Nothing was purchased & want to come back to buy. I called ahead of time to know what I was getting into.

While waiting, walked around, cute stuff at awesome prices looking for work pants size 0 or 1 or 2, depending on brand, used to be a 9-11 depending on brand.

I've shopped here a number of times and have always had good luck. The people who work here are nice. The store carries new and gently used name brand clothes, shoes and accessories (some of those names are from kohls and target some are lululemon, adidas, and under armor). The clothes are super nice. And the prices are just right (new chuck taylors $20; abercrombie dress $10; lululemon sweatshirt $22). There is a dressing room - 6 things allowed in at a time, but hang the rest right outside your door.

Nice place. Large range of sizes which was a surprise. Decent items for a resale shop.

Great cute little place. Got my backpack there and for sure will be coming back. It's worth the drive from fox lake IL. The Libertyville location can't touch this place. The boy Ethan was amazing with awesome customer service. He should get a promotion and raise. Honestly he would be nothing but great!!!

Came in with two bins today. They processed my items in a timely manner. Left very happy with my offer.

Man they used to have a lot of nice stuff they're at Plato's closet it seems like it's turning more into an old thrift store both thrift store can't really find nothing really nice they need to start dusting their shoes off
