Lauri and Sean are a great team and super local small business! They were willing to take on a tough install job that one of the local competitors thought was too challenging. Lauri did research on appropriate venting of our Vermont Castings Radiance stove, from the manufacturer, that allowed us to install the stove on the wall we wanted. There are long wait times for direct vent gas stoves nowadays, but Lauri explained all that upfront. Sean did an impeccable install. He is so detailed and careful -- everything was so well explained and meticulously done. And he got the unit up our old stone steps with such expertise! Highly recommended!

I came to Cracker Mill to get a wood stove to help my mom through the cold winters. I expected friendliness and a good stove. What I didn't expect was how much care Sean would put into the placement of our new wood stove and the design of the hearth. Lauri and Sean worked together and created a piece of moving art in my moms living room. I can't recommend them highly enough! And my moms dog Trucker loves being by the stove too. Sean and Lauri thank you both so much for helping me make this happen for my mom

They came through with everything they told me. We're very happy with our new stove so far. Thank You! To the reviewer who gave a 1 star because they couldn't get you the part for their older Vermont Castings stove..... You are better off leaving that review for Vermont Castings, not this small family owned woodstove dealer. It is not their fault Vermont Castings does not make parts for your stove anymore. I'm sure they would have been happy to sell you parts if they were still manufactured.

Cracker Mill was very helpful and knowledgeable. They opened my husband's eyes and my eyes to many different styles and took the time to explain each one till we found the perfect one for our home.

Owners of older Vermont Castings woodstoves, don't waste your time going there. They don't seem to be interested in selling you what you want. The last time I was there a gentleman started to look up the parts I needed and a woman interupted and said my stoves are obsolete. No other customers were there at the time. One would think some kind of sale would be better than no sales.
