Fantastic local bakery with fresh bread and lots of pastries. Nothing is overly sweet, and their bread has a good consistency. At 75 cents per pastry this is a great place to stop in. Their churros have a great texture and taste.

First time there and all I can say is wow! Five-stars! This bakery is hands down the absolute BEST anywhere I’ve ever been in the U.S. Smells wonderful the minute you walk in the door! Awesome selection and all of the breads, cakes, pastries, donuts are incredibly fresh and not super sweet! Great with coffee! We are so fortunate to have such an awesome business right here in Painesville. Price is fantastic too! I will most definitely be back. Highly recommended!

We stopped on a whim when on an overnight in Painesville. We went right before closing Saturday and then again Sunday morning because we liked it so much. Everything we had (and we tried quite a few different things) was delicious. So cheap. The next time we're out there we'll be there again.

This bakery is so good. Like the bakery’s when we grew up in Cleveland. When you walk in the smell is wonderful. The bread is delicious. Not only that the bakery is beautiful to look at an also delicious. It’s truly a hidden gem in Painesville.

If you are looking for an authentic Mexican bakery, look no further. I can attest to this having lived in Mexico for 5 years - it’s the real deal. The chocolate frosted donuts are probably the best donuts I’ve had in the U.S. and Mexico. Great pricing, flavor, and quality.

If you are looking for the frosted, covered run of the mill doughnuts, this isn't for you. There will be almost something for everyone here.

So far I have only had a few of the offerings from the bakery but I am very happy with what they offer. The problem I find with many bakeries in the U.S. is their products are overly sweet, not so with De Leon. The substance of the baked good is not overpowered by a lot of flavors, such an an overabundance of sugar or vanilla (usually fake in many bakeries). The flavors in the De Leon baked good are subtle and do not overpower the wonderful flavor of the dough. The bakery itself looks very clean and smells like a bakery should - dough with a hint of sweetness. It is so nice to see good bakery in Painesville with fresh, simple, yet delicious offerings.

Great taste and pricing is all well worth it

I just recently found this bakery and OMG!!! It’s absolutely amazing. The churros are so amazing and pastries are so good and fresh. Not to mention, you can not beat the prices!!!

We drove from Columbus to Painesville just to experience the donuts and other goodies. Was it worth the 2.5 hour drive 1 way? YES! We'll do it again.

Absolutely the best Mexican bread in the city of Painsville. I have to drive an hour to get here to this place and is worth the drive.
