U-Haul Moving & Storage of Park Slope

I needed a cargo van to transport things for a fundraiser. Every location in Brooklyn my staff reached out to did not have vehicles available. I went to the location we usually rent from, and Amanda made magic happen for us.

The park slope location was accommodating and friendly. They went above and beyond to help adjust my reservation when I had changes in my moving schedule and major issues with another U-Haul location.

here’s the thing. the employees here are consistently EXCELLENT at their jobs. what makes my experience frustrating is the constant corporate tweaking of the rental process that feels different every time i rent a truck (and i have been renting a truck 2 or 3 times a year for the past few years consistently)

It is a very clean, well maintained storage. I’ve had my belongings stored there for 8 months, with “EarthKind” rodent, ants and moths pouches in my unit I haven’t seen a single live creature. It is a storage so you have to take into account other renters whose belongings may contain insects and that’s why I recommend these pouches. But as for the corridors, isolation of each unit, overall maintenance (when visited I kept seeping cleaning stuff on the floor all the time) they are doing excellent. I haven’t seen a more well maintained storage than this one. The price hasn’t changed in 8 months either. Uhaul trucks and moving supplies are on the ground floor so I really don’t think there is a better storage/moving felicity in the neighborhood. I’ve done a massive research before renting my unit and visited other storages in the neighborhood, some were disgusting, some creepy. From the bottom of my heart I highly recommend Uhaul 4th Avenue. As for the staff who works there – smile to them, be friendly, they are wonderful and helpful.

So many poor reviews but I truly had a great experience here two different times this summer. Think about it - these guys are overworked, hot, and see a lot of people that probably aren't so kind. A smile or thank you goes a long way. Specifically, Areal & Germaine were incredible and deserve a HUGE shoutout for how helpful they were with my last minute need to tow my Vespa. THANK YOU GUYS!

Customer service standards at this business have improved significantly. The people there actually care.

The agent who was helping me failed to tell me that if I did not check the link that was sent to my phone concerning the fuel which was less than a quarter of a tank I would be charge for fuel I put in the same amount that I used on Friday I travel less than 17 miles and I end up paying $165 i’ve been a loyal customer for years using U-Haul no one ever explained to me that if the fuel tank is less than a quarter I would be charged if I did not indicate by taking a picture of the gas gauge! I am extremely disappointed I’ve never experienced that before in the past you would get a print out of how much gas was in the vehicle so that you can return the vehicle with the same amount of gas that you left with you would not be charged!!!

We used U-Haul for getting rentals for my employees to haul boxes. The renting process was efficient, fast and simple when it came to my employees processing a rental Vehicle.

Getting a truck the first of the month is going to be difficult. I recommend going in with patience. There were some technical difficulties but I had a great experience and Sophia was so incredibly helpful. Thank you Sophia!

Great location, helpful staff, new vehicle. Shout out to Paulia who really helped me with the rental. This is a big location with lots of supplies. I didn't use it but they have storage on site. Be sure to bring a passport. Otherwise corporate insists on making creepy phone calls to your friends. Also helpful if you have a smartphone with a standard browser and a good internet connection to do the check-in.

I never had a problem coming here everyone is nice from picking up your rental to dropping it off. Every agent I get is quick and professional. It would make absolutely no sense to only complete half your reservation and not upload your license and simple things that will just make the process smoother. You can’t expect things to be quick when you aren’t doing your half of the job but instead leave it all up to the agents but you know what they say common sense isn’t common!

This place is awesome, great service good equipment, this motorcycle trailer cost about $30 for two days, great deal!

The staff are always friendly, professional and very helpful like Andrew, Kavon and the ladies at the counter. They greet you with a smile a warm greetings. Great job!

I was there right when they opened to pick up my rental truck. From when they unlocked the doors promptly at 7am, I was greeted with a warm good morning from MS. TAYLOR. She was extremely helpful and assisted me fast and courteously. She was even helpful in modifying one of my reservations. I would ask for her if you ever need top notch customer service. My outstanding experience continued when I went to pick up my truck in the lot. I was having problem with the mobile app to document any issues with the truck. ANDRE, was there and was of great assistance. It was busy as trucks were coming in and rentals were going out. He never rushed me and provided phenomenal customer service. There was also equipment on the truck that I did not need and he was able to remove it and get me on my way. I highly recommend these employees and this site!!

I've rented here several times over the last couple of weeks and was surprised by the good experience, especially when returning. The guys working there are very helpful, taking care of the check out process for me and also keeping an item I forgot safe. The ladies at the pickup are also quite friendly except for one who was grumpy once but don't we all have such days :)

Sales associate Diamond was awesome. She guided me through the creating a U-Haul account so that I could get my truck as soon as possible. She needs to be commended on her patience and her knowledge of her job.
