To start off, I find it difficult to find a place to cut my hair consistently, due to my own picky habits. I've gone to The Devils Strip a few times now and enjoyed every experience. The most recent one on 4-2, Jim cut my hair. I have an issue where I sweat far more than the average person, and I gotta say, Jim handled it like an absolute professional. He never made a deal about me sweating/ how much I was. I made a small mention and gave me a towel - didn't make a deal out of it, didn't dwell on the subject. Continued the haircut and our conversation. Not only did he make me feel welcomed (by remembering me), he worked with myself, and gave me a great haircut.

If you're looking for a 'guy', I promise you he can take care of you. If someone ask picky as me has gone back a few times, you're in good hands.

I've visited this barbershop twice and both times have been nothing short of excellent, thanks to Mike. The shop itself is welcoming and clean, setting the stage for a great experience. Mike is not only a professional who gave me the best haircuts and beard trims I've had but also a great person to chat with. He has an eye for detail, ensuring you leave looking and feeling your best. Given the high-quality service, booking an appointment is recommended to secure a spot. Highly recommend for anyone in need of a fresh cut.

Amazing cut, Alan did an amazing job on my shave, beard line up, and trim. He's the man to go to if you need a tight clean look. Says online and in the shop they take walk-ins but the barbers seem to be booked so it's best to make an appointment it seems if you don't want o have to compromise the cut you wanted. Will be stopping in for service any time I am in town. Top Notch!

I've been looking for a new barber shop in my area. I've been going here the last few months and have gotten more compliments on my hair then ever before. This is a very solid barbershop with amazing barbers. Definitely worth a visit.

Went in for the first time not knowing what to expect. Was searching for a new barber with previous bad experiences from other ones. As soon as I walked in I felt comfortable great atmosphere and great service from all the guys. Alan took care of me and did a tremendous job. All the guys are great and inviting. Definitely found my new barbershop!!

First visit and I went in for a beard trim. Alan took care of me , made me feel extremely comfortable and was very talkative, which I appreciate. Prices were great, great atmosphere,only downside is it is cash only and I had to run next door to get cash. Now I know for next time. Will definitely be back.

Alan is an amazing barber. I’m from Pittsburgh and was traveling for work and needed a quick shape up he hooked it up and killed it. funny bunch of guys that work there and great conversations. First time at a legitimate barber if it wasn’t 2 and a half hours from home I’d make them my go to barber. Absolutely recommend them!

First time there today and got a GREAT haircut from Allen. They are very friendly and I will definitely go back! Highly recommended.

I had been cultivating a healthy head of bushy hair over the past year and figured it was time to get it dealt with. I set up an appointment with Mike woodson and told him do whatever looks good. I think he hit the nail on the head he gave me a great haircut and a fantastic beard trim. I'll definitely be back! It's also pretty awesome to come in to a nice clean shop with sweet vintage barber chairs. This is a good place to get a cut!

Took what seemed like a shot in the dark with all of the barber shop options in the Akron area, but am definitely glad to have chose this place. Walked right in 15 minutes before closing but it was no issue for the guys there. Only had to wait 15 minutes to get the best cut I've probably ever had in my life. Overall, really cool atmosphere in the place, and all of the barbers there seemed to be very talented with their work and pay great attention to detail. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area and looking for a new place to go.

The atmosphere in the shop is awesome and everyone who cuts hair has a great personality and are always upbeat and positive. Not to mention they are all great barbers who treat the customer with first class service! I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who is in need of a haircut or lineup. They are the best in the area and the prices are very reasonable too!

overall best experience in the area. everyone was very welcoming and personable , making the place feel very comfortable. lots of fun decor and also very friendly to any and all ages! ! the shop is very lively, service is on point, seems to be booming with business!! Jim got me RIGHT! Awesome guys in the shop. No Cleveland/Akron Barber shop compares to these guys. The attention to detail, finesse, and dare I say... ?artistic ability?; when it comes to hair cuts they are unmatched. Great job guys! Females are already complementing the cut and I haven’t even had it for more than 6hrs hahaha! HIGHLY recommend

This place is amazing. My fiance gets his haircut at this shop regularly. They also have an amazing selection of men's pomade, I prefer the suavecito blend because of the way it smells. Always great cuts at Ellet Barbershop!!!!

I was a little nervous trying out a new Barbershop. Walking in I noticed how the staff makes everyone feel welcome and "one of the guys."

Both barbers are professionals who take pride in their work, they understand different shapes, sizes, and hairlines, and can help find a cut that works best for you.

I was referred to these guys, and I would recommend them to anybody, just say no to the imitators and go to the real deal. Highly recommended.

I've been getting my hair cut by Charles ever since he has first started and followed him to Ellet Barbershop. The guys here do an excellent job on every single customer that walks in the doors. They are bringing back the old school barbershop days and it is always a great experience!

This was my first time to Devil Strip, I left there very happy with what I had gotten. I've never gotten a beard trim and had no idea how to go about it but Alan hooked me up with a great cut and nicley shaped beard. I'll definitely be a recurring customer.

The guys that cut the hair are all nice, down to earth people and easy to get along with. The lines are usually long, so long waiting times, but it's worth it because I always leave there satisfied with my fresh hair cut. Also, it's a little pricey at 13 dollar's a cut, but again, it's worth it for the haircut I receive every time
