Block Butcher Bar

My wife and I came in here for happy hour on a friday night. 1st time here. We loved the meat and cheese board. Made us feel like we were wine tasting somewhere. Great vibe and attentive service. I ordered their specialty cocktail which was bourbon based. It was VERY good. Also ordered a brat and my goodness was it cooked to perfection! We will be back.

This was an awesome experience. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable and despite a very busy Sunday took the time to give us a deep look into the world of gin. We also had the duck fat fries (amazing). My friend had the lb burger on a pretzel bun and said he would have asked for it medium well next time. All in all a great time and would love to explore the menu and atmosphere more.

Nice place attached to Low Brau. Great top shelf liquor and mixed drinks. We had a bartender creation called "Mr. Biggs", a "Guy on a Buffalo", and a "Like Warm Apple Pie". All the drinks were delicious. Round two consisted of "Amazon Fizz" and an "Old Fashioned". Everyone enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere. We would definitely come back and enjoy some cocktails.

As usual the charcuterie boards are delectable, and never disappoint. Very prompt service with friendly service. Not to mention a great variety of whiskey, gin, and superb cocktails. If you have never been, you need to try this place.

Amazing food and priced well, with a great atmosphere at night. My husband and I, both avid whiskey lovers, went here on a Friday and got some links, their duck far fries (nom) and a couple whiskey cocktails. Made for an excellent date night with the hubs.

Our server Kayla was awesome! Had a lot of great suggestions and even helped with choosing cheeses and meats that complimented the whiskey flights. After 10pm, the music goes up and becomes a club. A lot of fun! Definitely recommend!

Best whiskey bar I've been to I'm Sacramento

Had a great experience talking and tasting whisky. Matt T is very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. It was a memorable experience with some great whiskies. Parking was easy and free and I will definitely go back!

The meat & cheese board was one of the best I've ever had, with the breasola being particularly fine. They have an outstanding collection of whiskies, and a very inventive set of cocktails too. This place is now a must-stop anytime we visit Sacramento.

Drinks here are always exquisite. They're beverages are consistently done well and the service is solid. Food here are kind like tapas and can easily be shared. One of our favorite go to spots if we're near by.

Very nice atmosphere. The cocktail named ‘I’ve never been to Spain’ is awesome and a must try (especially on a date night). Thoroughly impressed with the food and music! Thanks Matt T!

Upscale eats and an impressive whiskey menu, Block won't disappoint the well-traveled or those seeking a quiet spot to enjoy the finer things. Food is prepared reasonably quickly and the bar staff is friendly and accommodating. The seating and decor is modern and includes an all glass viewing of the food prep area. If you're feeling a louder vibe, use the easy entrance to Lowbrau.

Some of the best cocktails in Sacramento and the charcuterie is to die for. The sandwiches are good, as are the salads, but the meat and cheese boards are the real heroes here. Don't cheat yourself and order a cocktail from Ian or Matt T (don't forget the T) and prepare yourself for some of the best meat and cheese around. Some is even cured in-house!

This bar is attached to a dining place with great selection of beers, but the Butchers bar provides an intimate setting with a large variety of premium liquor. Interesting design comes with a fresh selection of Italian based meats and platters.

Amazing menu for whiskey aficionados. The bar keep is well versed in all of the drinks and knows how to explain the tastes. Will be back, guaranteed!

Love this place - great charcuterie and the whisk(e)y selection is second to no one in Sacramento. Ian is a great bartender as well!

Really loved it. Nice atmosphere great service. Had the Brock's Board and the Dirty Duck fries, very delicious. Definitely worth it!

A little over pricey, however if you're looking for a splurge date night, the meats and cheeses were delicious, atmosphere is nice (before it turns into a full night time bar) and the drink menu is fantastic!

First time, got the White Linen which is apparently a Sacramento signature. Also got the Bavarian pretzel.everything was great and I'll be back for more!

High quality drinks, delicious food, knowledgeable and charismatic bartenders. It's my favorite place downtown!
