Peaks of Otter Lake View Restaurant

I have dined here several times and it’s enjoyable, especially if you get a window seat! The food has been good. I just got the breakfast buffet last weekend and it was nice but expensive if you only get one plate.

Lunch and dinner has been great! After, you can take a walk around Abbott lake which is about a mile. Beautiful short trail! Sharp top, Flat top, and Harkening hill are all great hikes but I don’t recommend those on a full stomach lol!

It’s usually pretty busy though and it’s nice to have a drink while you wait for a table to open up. There is also a small lounge area downstairs near the restroom and there usually aren’t any other people down there.

The restroom is pretty small, the stalls specifically. Very little room to move or even close the door of the stall.

We had a delicious lunch (see pictures) and a spectacular view! The meal was a bit pricey but it's reasonable to pay for the atmosphere and view ( see picture).

Good food, service and the view overlooking the lake and sharp top mountain was amazing. A must if in the area.

Old lodge. But clean. No cell phone service they do have Internet. The idea of staying here is to do outside activities. Hiking kayaking (me. Motorcycle riding). Nice place

Was very pleasantly surprised by the menu, food and service. Got the lobster Mac and cheese and it was loaded with lobster, way more than I'd have guessed for $16 and our burgers were great! Would happily eat here again next time we are hiking in the area.

I did not eat as restaurant closes at 3:30 for lunch but reopens at 4:30 for dinner. Nice drive from Roanoke on the Pkwy.

Beautiful area! If I had more time, I'd stay for sure. Lots of hiking and sightseeing to do near here. Gorgeous area!

Food was delicious. My wife had a tasty NY sirloin and I had the Farmhouse chicken with Appalachian cheese and sweet apple butter.

Great breakfast buffet, server was fantastic! Front desk staff were overall good. Really depended on who was on the desk. One in particular was more interested in being on the phone than helping.

Great food, Great service and great view. But the wait is long even at non busy days

I can’t base this review on the food because I did not eat at the restaurant. What it is based on, however, was my customer service experience. While hiking nearby I slipped on a wet rock and sprained (significantly, as I found l out several hours later) my wrist on the hand I braced my fall with. It was nearing the end of breakfast when I arrived, after driving from a few miles north on the Parkway. I explained to the hostess what had happened and I asked if she had any ice she could put in a plastic bag. With genuine concern, she rigged up a double wrapped bag full of ice which lasted for a few hours. There’s no doubt without the quick application of ice provided by the hostess that the effects from the sprain would have been much worse.

It was a busy Sunday afternoon...the staff were helpful, friendly, they were very busy ,did their best to serve as quick and efficiently as possible. We did enjoy our lunch. And drinks from the bar. We did buy a few things at the gift shop. Overall we had a great day.

Beautiful view. Good service. Delicious strawberry lemonade. Tried the chicken and waffle sandwich and it's a little messy. Ended up using knife and fork. It's pretty sweet but yummy and now I wanna make it at home. 😋😂

Nice size portion. Friendly waitress. Live music in bar.

Excellent little gift shop, and restaurant has wonderful food, as well as a great view of the small lake that sits next to the lodge. While I do wish the facility was opened year round. Still, if you have a chance to go there, then go there.

Restaurant was closed for service that day but had Grab and Go which was good. We are in the restaurant with a great view

I love this place yummy and so beautiful! The hiker grilled chicken sandwich is amazing with the bacon jam oh my!! Check this place out :)

Love it Great food ! And a wonderful view! They have a full menu of specialty beverages and tasty treats for dessert.
