Give this place a Try! You WON'T regret it!! We moved to the area a couple yrs ago and miss Chicago food greatly. We love good BBQ and we didn't want to drive 35min to another place. We tried Papa's and it is amazing! Ryan, the manager takes such pride in every detail from cutting the brisket perfectly to helping you pair a new side. I'm so sad to see how people can give them anything below a 5 star. Being in business myself, I understand how this can greatly affect a business. This place is amazing from the perfectly smoked brisket and chicken, the moist corn bread, to the Mac&cheese and cheese potatoes having great flavor. Our family is a fan, including our 3 picky girls. Not to mention, tons of bbq sauce flavors to try and is fairly priced. It maybe in a gas station, but it is clean, the manager takes great pride, and you don't have to wait in a forever line. This last year it has become one of our favorite local BBQ places! Keep up the great work guys, you have loyal customers with us! You truly do an amazing job and it shows! :)

Ryan could not be a better manager or nicer guy. He runs a kitchen that is clean, friendly, and quite simply offers the best BBQ around. I've been Blessed to have enjoyed some of the best BBQ from around the country, and Papa's is right up there. My family and I are now very loyal and regular customers.

Pleasantly surprised to find BBQ in a gas station. Guys working (pit masters?) were friendly and my pulled pork was huge. It came without sauce but there are roughly 5-6 sauce options you add yourself.

AMAZIMG hidden gem! We got pot roast and beer cheese sandwiches, cheesy hashbrowns, jambalaya, and cornbread, wow it was amazing! It threw me off being in a gas station but it is so worth the stop. The chef was incredibly friendly and we made easy conversations while he made my food. I don't live close, but he will absolutely be seeing me again!

Just went there an hour ago and it was great. The brisket was tender and had great flavor. Ribs were great, love that dry rub. My wife loved the Italian beef, said it was the best one shes had it quite awhile. Great food, the guy running it aas very nice. I'll definitely be back, and back soon

I had the beef brisket mixed with white rice bowl and the owner told me that was just something that he concocted but I will tell you it was absolutely one of the most excellent things I have ever eaten. I stop yesterday but they didn't have any and he told me he was just getting ready to smoke another brisket and make it again for today. I am going back today to get some more that was that good! Very hard to believe from a gas station but I'll tell you it's not where you cook, it's how you cook!

This food is amazing!! The owner gave us so many samples even after we had told him we just ate and weren't going to purchase any food. Brisket was out of this world! Baked hashbrowns are so good! He even makes his owns sauces. If you're in the area, I highly recommend! He is located inside a gas station, I know but trust me lol

I own Moving N Grooving DJs and had the pleasure of experiencing this food at a wedding! Absolutely OUTSTANDING!!!

And the bonus was the 2 gentleman who were there couldn’t have been nicer people to work with. Outstanding!!!

Okay so we pulled up and were immediately put off by the gas station element but we went for it anyway. We come in and crack a joke and the guy behind the counter hits us back with "its not a 'gas station restaurant'. Its a restaurant that happens to be in a gas station" which was apt.

The guy immediated pulled out some brisket for us to try and we were sold. Got two meals worth of food for 20$. Mac n cheese was creamy, the cheesy potatoes were better tho.

This is a straight up restaurant. And the guy cared about quality over a sale. He refused to sell some pork to another customer while i was there because it didnt meet his(the grill master's) standards and was in the process of remakin it.

The guy behind the counter looked weathered, like all good grill masters should. He was running the whole operation and it was very impressive. If you got make sure to tip because he was working his butt off making sure our food was delicious.

I had the pulled pork sandwich with Mac and cheese and hash browns and wow! I was really impressed. If you don’t mind a bit of spice, try the tropical habanero sauce. Super good.

OMG!!! You don't expect this kind of quality at a gas station but this hands down beats over 90% of the BBQ restaurants I have eaten at. Wonderful food and fast service to get you back on the road.

Brisket sandwich melted in my mouth. Don’t have any complaining like the other people. It wasn’t dry at all, add a little bbq sauce. I will be back

Best BBQ you’ll find around here honestly the meats are well cooked service is friendly and the place is clean what more could you want. For the record this isn’t anywhere near gas station food and don’t forget to tip.

Pretty damn good smoked meats and really good sauces to choose from. Cowboy beans are tasty with some pep!

First time their today, ordered sampler platter. Amazing!! Excellant food!!

I've tried a lot of the menu and I've yet to find something that wasn't delicious. Very fair prices.

Excellent Brisket and great Ribs! No doubt stopping for more soon.
