Los is by far the most talented black and grey realism artist in this part of the country. I started my sleeve at the end of last year and with each piece I am constantly stopped in public asking where I get my work done at. Professional, great customer service and talent is an understatement. Los deserves a 10+ star review.

I had my first tattoo done by Raye at the end of August when she worked at a previous shop, and she has since recently relocated to Rare Breed Ink Studio. The piece is a very specific butterfly with complex lines and details, and is something to me that has a lot of meaning behind it. It relates to work I have done with incarcerated people, my journey working in science, and mental health experiences. This was my first tattoo ever, I had no idea what sort of artist to look for to do an entomological tattoo or even how to find a good artist.

I came across Raye's profile on her previous shop's website, and I am so glad I did. Prior to getting the piece, she was communicative and collaborative and responded very quickly to emails. While Raye prefers to do tattoos in black and white, this piece did include a bit of color and she used black and orange for my piece, and the color turned out really well. She has a very calm and centered energy to her, and I really appreciated this as someone who navigates an anxiety disorder. During getting the actual piece done, she really dedicated an incredible amount of care and precision to her art every step of the way.

Ultimately, the piece healed really well. I keep getting asked, "Who did your tattoo?" and comments on how incredible it is. For a few people I've shown it too, they've randomly asked to see it again. I was even (positively) shocked at the final piece - I thought the sketch she showed me looked awesome, but when it was finished it was outstanding in a way that the original sketch can't compare to. Regarding the specific entomology design of the tattoo, while I don't think she necessarily advertises this, as someone who works in science I feel Raye has a lot of talent specific to scientific illustration. I hope to return soon and see her this time around at Rare Breed Ink for some minor touch up work, and all in all really appreciate Raye putting in her time and care into this piece.

Raye is such a talented person! I am beyond in love with my first tattoo that she designed for me. She took my ideas and collaborated with me to get it perfect. I love the feminine lines, the size and how it shapes my forearm. She took time with me, made sure I was happy with each flower, and was very kind and professional throughout. Thank you!

Amazing and calm environment for a super long tattoo! My appointment lasted probably 6-7 hours and I was comfy, was offered snacks and water, and was able to take breaks if needed with no pressure or rush like I've experienced in other shops. Los was great and I love how my tattoo turned out! Will definitely be back again.

Rae is so kind and does a great job. She designs all of her own work and is very good at it!
