Skidders Restaurant

One of our favorite go-to restaurants when in the St. Pete area. The food is consistently good and priced well. Had the saganaki to start the meal. The flaming cheese is quite impressive and tasty.
I enjoyed Chicken Parmigiana, and my husband had the stuffed flounder. It was a very generous serving of tender chicken with a side of spaghetti. Tasty, but too much food! Unfortunately, I didn't have room to try one of the tempting desserts.
You will notice that I was so eager to taste my meal that it was partially eaten in the picture!
Very much worth a visit.

Went for breakfast on New Year’s Day. Our server Elena was wonderful, very attentive & efficient. Food was good but the flight of Mimosas was extraordinary!! Absolutely worth it. Definitely a solid place to dine.

Our new favorite place to eat at St Pete Beach! Delicious food, reasonable prices, great service, and excellent hospitality. My Gyro had tons of meat and the tzatziki was delicious. They make you feel like family. We will definitely be back.

Just had our 2nd visit a year later, and had a great time once again. Anna was our server, and she was fantastic!

I've been here twice in one day...breakfast and a super late dinner. And both meals were fantastic! Great portions at fair prices...not to mention everything was super fresh and major comfort food! The small 10" cheese pizza we had for a late dinner was perfect, with a thick layer of generous cheese on top...like it was made with love and not with profits in mind.
I'm probably going back tomorrow for a late breakfast on my way out of town. If you get a chance to stop in you'll find something to call your favorite!
The people working there are super friendly and make you feel like family from the get go...
The booth seating was comfy on my messed up back, so enjoy the food in comfort.

If you are at St Pete Beach and looking for Mediterranean food, look no further. Skidders Restaurant has a lot to offer. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great! The premises were clean and the staff friendly. We had chicken souvlaki, pasta with Alfredo sauce and chicken, Greek salad with extra feta cheese and with shrimp, and scallops. I would highly recommend!

Large group - Handled well

This spot was right across the street from our hotel. We had a fairly large group of 20. The servers were oh so friendly and the food was good. Pretty slow given such a large party but that would be the same anywhere.
We were made to feel very welcomed. The host even bought a few of us some shots of Ouzo.
I would return.

We went to the restaurant two times first time we only went for drinks the owner began a conversation with us and we had a nice talk about someone we both know. He gave my parents and grandparents free shots *like a lot of shots* and we said we would come back the next day. The next day we come and the owner greets us and shows us to our table. We give the waitress our order and the owner says he will give me and my brother something special later. We get our food and it was great the owner gives us free shots again *again he gave us a lot* then we chat a little with the owner and we finish our food and we’re about to leave but then the owner says "oh you’re not leaving„ and gives us a free slice of chocolate cake and put lots of cherries and whipped cream on it but we’re all stuffed so we couldn’t finish it but it was so delicious. In conclusion it was an amazing place with amazing staff and I would definitely recommend it.

Was quite quiet when we visited but the whole visit was lovely from start to finish. Rian served us and he was great, regularly checked on us and even gave us a free shot of ouzo. Having visited Greece many times before, the menu and food was great (and comments about food being slow to come out possibly have not visited proper European/Greek restaurants before - have a meal takes hours!). My husband had a pizza which was incredibly cheesy and filling and I had the eggplant parmigiana which was also wonderful (and also brilliantly cheesy!). Unfortunately we probably won't return to St Pete as being there was a one off, but was a great little restaurant :)

I had heard wonderful things about Skidders but had never been. We discovered they had an early bird special and decided to check them out. Apparently, based on overhearing comments from the staff and guests, most of the other patrons were regulars, which I take to be a good sign. The staff was very welcoming, the food was delicious, the portions were large, and the prices were reasonable. I'd definitely eat there again.

The chicken parmigiana, lamb chops, broiled flounder, spaghetti and meat balls, seafood platter, and ravioli was amazing.

The service was top notch, and we were able to meet Teddy, the owner. Such a small world.

Being right across from our hotel, this was not only convenient, but an excellent choice for any meal. We weren’t even finished with our appetizers before we all said, “Let’s come back tomorrow.”

really nice staff, and delicious food! I stopped in because the restaurant was across the street from my hotel and I wasn't disappointed. the saganaki was the star of the meal as they flambe it in front of you. I also had eggplant Parmesan which was perfectly cooked. the portion was large enough that I was completely full and also had a full meal for the next day. my server was very attentive and polite and I couldn't have enjoyed my meal more!

We called ahead and asked if they could accommodate a huge party of 16 for dinner. They said sure, no problem and we got in and were seated immediately. Our server, Lisa, was beyond phenomenal. She was so kind and treated us so well. We come to St Pete annually and the restaurant seems to have changed quite a bit since last year but we were pleasantly surprised that both the food and service were still awesome.

We have been customers for many years, we have been disappointed over the last year. We still go back every once in awhile. We were back last week and seems something has changed. The lights were dimmed for a warm cozy feel. Our server was fantastic, prompt, informative, checked frequently, the chef was talking to customers asking for their approval, the other servers were tentative to their surroundings helping oneanother and keeping busy, the manager was greeting customers, making his way around the restaurant frequently to make sure EVERYONE was happy, thanking them for their business as they left and encouraging them to return. I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME! So many fond memories here, we really want Skidders to succeed!! Keep up the great progress!!

Stuffed fillet of flounder was very flavorful.
The service was a little bit slow. It took the waitress a while to get us the check.

We can not say enough great things about Skidders. We dined outside since we had our lab with us. My husband claims it was the best Greek salad he’s ever had. My pizza was good. Great friendly service and very conscientious about the quality of food. We will definitely be back!

The servers I encountered were fantastic. Both the pancake and Benedict I ordered were delicious. The cozy atmosphere adds to the experience. Highly recommend for a relaxing and nutritious breakfast.

Great food and service. Ordered the gyro platter for lunch it was very tasty and authentic. The spaghetti was also good . The portions are large . FYI, they serve breakfast every morning from 8-12. We will definitely return for breakfast and dinner.

I went there for dinner with a friend from Tampa & her sister who was visiting from out of state. The food was really great, delicious, fresh & very tasty. Our portions were huge, too.
Service was wonderful. Our waiter was friendly, continually kept our water glasses full & brought us everything we asked for quickly & with a smile. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Stop by for breakfast last week. It was a generous delicious meal. Returned on a Saturday evening with our friends from Chicago after telling them it was as good as a Greektown restaurant from home. They all agreed and the service was exceptional. From our server Milos to the manager Walter we enjoyed one of our best meals here in St. Pete.

Leaving town so we decided to get something to eat before traveling. We heard a lot of good things so we decided to give Skidders a try, especially because it on the way. Service was great at the food was awesome. We started off with their New England Clam Chowder and we both agreed it was the best we have had in a long time. Even better than we had in the New England area. One of my favorite things that I witnessed was several repeat local customers that came in and each of the staff greeted them calling them by the name. One elderly gentleman that came in and the staff not only called him by his name, but had his drink at what must be his regular table. We recommend Skidders.
