Convenience merged with timing and I pulled in on a whim for a required smog check. The proprietor was pleasant, professional and had me in and out of there in no time. He also told me that if I didn't address a recall I had ignored for my Hyundai, The DMV could decline my registration next year! This was confirmed by the closest dealership, and I'm headed there in a few weeks for a software update. A D Smog, above and beyond!

I was receiving ridiculous quotes from some other shops in Natomas and Land Park. It turns out A D is just a block from my workplace and had me in and out in great time, especially with two people in front of me. The price was great too - will definitely be back in 2 years!

They're very fast and friendly. The location is good if you don't like waiting in a room since there are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Or you can just take a nice walk in the neighborhood while you wait. Although they don't do appointments, I recommend calling in advance just to ask when it's a good time to come by.

Great customer service. They have a coupon on their website that is very usefuI for cars only from 2000 and newer. My car did not pass and the technician showed me what was wrong and reminded me that I could come back for one free test within 30 days.

Great service. STAR Certified station that does older vehicles like my ‘82 Chevy S-10! Call ahead to check if they’re busy. Or you can drop off and go to a restaurant nearby.

I've been coming to this place for years for all my vehicles. Excellent service and excellent price! The owners are friendly. No appointments are necessary. Just walk right in. I was able to get my car smog recently on Monday (2/20) and took about 15 minutes or so. I highly recommend. I have heard and read that a car will have a higher chance of passing smog when the engine is HOT and has been running for a while. A small tip here is to drive your car around the neighborhood or on the freeway before getting it smog, whether it's here or elsewhere. Another tip if you're concerned about whether your vehicle is ready to test and if it will pass smog is to buy yourself an OBD2 Scanner with built in Emission Status indicators to see that all emission components are operating properly before bringing it in. They're relatively inexpensive, about $60 and up or so. Save some guess work out of it!

These people were so friendly and professional, it made getting my emissions testing done an absolute joy. I came in without an appointment on a Sunday afternoon and they were able to help me out right away. The whole process was done in about 20 minutes and ended up costing $50--the best price I've found in town! I'll absolutely be coming back here the next time I need this service.

Easy to get in, but they don't have heat in the waiting room. My car passed, but I don't know if I would go back again in the winter. Nice lady runs the office and fun to talk with when waiting.

I've been going to these guys over a decade and will continue. They are quick and the price is reasonable. Not a fan that the price for older cars increased in the last couple years, but I think that goes with old car ownership. Call before you go in, get a quote for your vehicle, and shop around. I think they price match.
