The Local Nomad

Only got to stay here one night because they were booked through the rest of the week. Beautiful place, very clean. Had a one bed room which was a bit small but clean, cozy, and with a comfortable bed. Each floor has one bathroom that is shared between tenants but it is kept very clean by the owners. Will definitely be staying here again as I am going to be frequenting the area.

I had a wonderful stay at The Local Nomad. Michelle was beyond accommodating and kind. All the common spaces and bathrooms are kept immaculately clean. We really enjoyed the art room and yard! I slept well in the air conditioned rooms with comfy beds. Walking distance to coffee, restraunts, shopping, dispensary and a grocery store just across the street. I can't wait to stay again!

It was such a great spot to stay for the week leading up to the 4th of July. The room was comfortable, the owners (Michelle & Thomas) were so kind and helpful, and they keep the place immaculately clean, I was definitely impressed. It's a unique place with character, and like a hostel should be, you get the chance to run into some other interesting folks who are traveling as well. I stayed because I was taking a course at Solar Energy International, and it worked well. Having a full kitchen and a fridge to utilize while I was there also helped me so much!

I am so happy I stayed here and not an overpriced hotel in a different town. My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The other guests were extremely nice. The bathroom was always available and also very clean. I loved sitting outside in the hammock with a book and glass of wine. The town was great! I can not wait to return in the future.

This is an awesome and affordable place to stay. Although there are common areas (including bathrooms) I never felt like I had to wait to use anything, and all of the common areas were spotless. The hosts were extremely accommodating and helpful. It was a great experience to chat with and get to know the other guests - not something you'd typically do at a normal hotel. The room is literally just a bed, but that's all you need - nobody goes to Paonia to hang out in their hotel room.

Arrived in town late --after 10 PM and called to check availability as our reservation at another nearby hotel was not honored Manager (Owner?) answered and got us in and settled quickly. Rooms are clean and facilities are pleasant. Staff (owner) was very courteous and helpful

Really cool building, super clean and comfy, nice atmosphere with stuff to keep you occupied, nice outdoor space, lots of common space, close to everything you could need and the hosts are friendly, attentive and accommodating. Could've have asked for a better experience. Thanks Thomas and Michelle we will definitely be back!

We had such a great stay at the local nomad! You can tell that everything is well thought out so that guests have everything they need and then some. The magic is in the details at this place, and I would recommend to anyone going to visit this beautiful patch of this world!

Local nomad is a really great, inexpensive short term boarding house run in the style of a international hostel. The owners keep kitchens and bathrooms maculate through regular checkups and cleaning throughout the day, but do a great job of leaving guests to their own interests. The various common spaces of the hostel are warm and inviting, allowing you to extend your stay beyond the walls of your own room.

This is a comfortable place to stay. We appreciated the common areas along with the privacy of our room. There is interesting artwork and thoughtful tips about the area.

The Local Nomad was amazing! I was visiting from Ohio for my nephews wedding. A most fabulous clean and comfortable place to stay. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

I spent 5 nights here. A nice place to stay in a nice town. This place is clean and convinient. You can find good restaurants and stores within a few mins of walking

Awesome, quaint, safe, comfortable, and cozy hostel. Wish I could stay here for a week. Additionally, owners take health and safety amidst pandemic seriously.

Tastefully appointed rooms. Where city smarts meets country cool! Located in the heart of bountiful Paonia, Colorado. I love it.
