The Shop Gym

The staff there is very welcoming ing and helpful. They keep the equipment very clean and all in working order. Best variety of weight training equipment out of all gyms in the area. Also great powerlifting platforms and a good posing room. I would highly recommend training here for anyone who is serious about bodybuilding or powerlifting.

Absolutely the BEST F…… gym in the DMV !!! No exceptions!! Amazing, clean, plenty of parking, equipment and weights are all up to date and some old school equipment too!! 💪💪 also a big plus not crowded 🤙🤙 Jason you did a great job 👏 🥳🥳

An iron paradise. Multiple machines for every body part. Some I've had to Google because in 32 years of lifting, I've never seen. Only 2 issues. They play music obnoxiously loud and the floors are concrete so it echos like crazy. Also you have step over tripods and around every 20 year olds camera shot. Update. The music is still obnoxiously loud.

I’ve been going to this gym for about a month now. I used to go to golds gym ashburn but it closed abruptly and I was in need of a new gym. I came across the shop and it seemed promising from the pictures. I decided to get a day pass with my friend and try it out and in a way it sparked my motivation to workout again. The atmosphere, the people, the abundance of equipment was breathtaking. No longer was I lifting in a library, I was lifting to the bass of Travis Scott. I signed up just days later. I will not be switching gyms anytime soon lol. Another huge + to the gym is that it’s 24/7 and no contract. I couldn’t ask for a better gym it’s a 6/5 for me.

Love this place! Great machines, 24/7 access, clean & great environment,great people! A lot of my friends made the switch to this gym and they all love it.

The best gym in Northern Virginia. I don't love the gym just because of the awesome machines and loud music. The Shop to me is a place where everyone is committed to being the best and I love walking in and smelling the energy of success! They also have the best customer service that I have ever experienced in a gym, which is so wonderful. Everyone is extremely eager to help and be of assistance. I dont know if thats on purpose, but it plays a role in why I love it. Thank you shop gym for creating such a exceptional experience.

Fantastic selection and they take great care of the gym and equipment. Members are friendly but will leave you alone if you focus on your workout. I highly recommend this gym. It's got a lot busier recently so if you go during peak times and don't like crowds it's probably not for you.

I've been a member to this gym for the past 4 months and super impressed with my experiences. The staff are super hospitable and welcoming to my son and I. There is plenty of space in this Mecca of a gym which helps with social distancing. This gym is always clean with lots of great energy as soon as you walk in. The Peanut Butter cup is my favorite protein shake at their shake bar. When I travel, I typically check out the locally owned power-gyms and The Shop Gym in Ashburn, VA is quite possibly the best gym experience.

The Shop is hands down the best gym I’ve ever visited. The owners, the employees and the customers are all kind, dedicated and supportive of everyone else. There are people of all backgrounds, shapes and sizes but they all have something in common: they keep showing up to get better. Whatever their focus, be it general health, strength or bodybuilding it’s well known that if you’re going to The Shop you’re there to do work.

Jason and Tim are the kind of owners every gym goer wishes they had. They invest so much into their business, their employees and their relationships. The flat monthly fee, the one time cost for a 24/7 fob and the lack of initiation or cancellation fees make it so simple. More importantly, the once a year gym improvement fee is something I’m more than happy to support because the Shop has given me so much it’s the least I can do to give back to make this place, myself and my friends better.

Go visit. Meet some people. Work hard. Get some gear and keep showing up. You’ll be so glad you did.

Amazing. This gym may not be for everyone but it was built with a purpose and they executed it masterfully. The purpose seems to be to get athletically fit and strong. There's no yoga rooms, swimming pool etc. There are some treadmills and such, but that's not the main event. The gym mostly consists of expensive, high-end strength training equipment, and a lot of it. The space is a former grocery store, it’s huge. It may be intimidating at first. If you're not familiar with some of the equipment the staff will help you. For me, the music is too loud, it overpowers my earbuds. Also, I hope they get some single person cable machines to go with their large cable stations. Overall, the place is nearly perfect and deserves to be supported. The owners are usually on site and take good care of the place. The gym is very clean and all the equipment works. Nothing else like it in the area. Five stars for sure.

Staff is always respectable and responsible. The gym is always immaculately maintained. If you like to lift and not have to wait for machine campers, this is the gym for you.

The gym/equipment are great. The only downside is there isn’t enough cardio equipment and the locker room is way to small for the amount of people that go there.

I attended the USPA VA Beast of the East Powerlifting meet on Saturday, December 11th, 2021! The event was hosted by The Shop. What a wonderful gym! The equipment looked brand new! It was so clean and well organized! The concrete floors were beautiful! I believe I saw options for ordering smoothies / protein shakes! It was so well lit and bright! There is very cool artwork on some of the walls!

What stood out the most was the kindness and friendliness of the staff! Everyone was wonderful! We had a large group of folks competing and we bought a lot of water and energy drinks! Each time we went to the counter, the staff was wonderful and helpful! I even asked a few questions about how to go to a local restaurant I wasn’t familiar with how to get to. The employees gave me directions and were just amazing in general!

I’m from a small town located in Southwest Virginia near Tennessee / Kentucky but have been in the Northern Va area for a few years! The folks at The Shop made me feel right at home! I almost felt like I was back home and that was a wonderful feeling!

The gym is about 50 minutes away from where I live, but I’ll definitely make it a point to come visit this gym for workouts in the future as a walk in!

Best gym I’ve ever been too. Staff is awesome, owners care and take suggestions. Tons of machines to hit all muscle groups. Pack a lunch when you go because your not going to want to leave lol

Everything about this gym is right. The staff, equipment, atmosphere, and fellow lifters are all top notch. One of the best gyms on the entire east coast. The one in manassas is equally great.

It’s my second month going to The Shop in Ashburn and I can honestly say it’s the best location for simply working out if you don’t care for a sauna or any amenities like that.

It’s just machines and weights in an organized fashion + the nonjudgmental atmosphere (and price!) just doesnt compare to Golds. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the people that go there are respectful and always down to help each other out. I was going to only go for one month because I’m moving soon but now I’m super sad to leave this place because it’s open 24/7 and I’ve had some incredible stress releasing sessions there.

Oh and did I mention that if you’re looking for a place with heavy adrenaline pumping music, this is also a big winner :))

My boyfriend and I drive about 2.5 hrs up from Richmond at least one weekend a month just to train here. They have specialty machines you can’t find anywhere else and enough space that even at its busiest you’ll never feel crowded. If you’re serious about lifting whether it be bodybuilding, powerlifting, etc this gym is 100% worth the trip - it’s called Virginia’s Mecca for a reason!

I was a regular at the Manassas location for about a year, then moved out of the area and have been eagerly awaiting for the opening of this location.

Just like their Manassas location, this gym is absolutely perfect. They have a huge workout floor that covers everything from powerlifting and bodybuilding to cardio and free weights. The cost did go up with the new location, but the terms are very forgiving (no contract commitment, cancel anytime), and for the variety of equipment available it's worth it.

This place has an amazing atmosphere and the staff are really kind and attentive when needed.
