Sweet Rose Bakeshop made my wedding cake, and my husband and I couldn't be happier with the result! The cake was absolutely beautiful, and the flavors and texture of the cake were exactly what we wanted. Andy took a lot of time to give us multiple cake tastings and even altered his recipes to suit our tastes. His wife decorated the cake in exactly the way we requested, and it turned out beautiful!

I always have to stop by when I visit the area. They offer a very large selection of baked goods, both sweet and savory. Everything is always perfectly fresh and so delicious! They offer some hot and cold beverages and seating available inside and out. An amazing little place that should be on your list!

Sweet Rose did an AMAZING job with my two year old’s cake. I sent them a picture and told them they didn’t need the extras, but they did it anyway! And, it was delicious! Highly recommend.

Edit: One year later we removed our top tier from our freezer and it's still just as good as it was on our wedding day!!

I recently moved to Purcellville and was in need of a bakery to bake a cake for a birthday dinner I hosted. I found Sweet Rose through a Google search, looked at their website and liked the photos of their work. I visited the shop and had a pleasant conversation with the young man working behind the counter. He told me to simply email Tanya what I wanted and I did. She nailed it! The cake was exactly what I wanted...beautiful, deliciously moist, and the butter cream frosting was scrumptious...not too sweet and not too heavy, overpowering the cake like some bakeries make. I recommend Sweet Rose to anyone in the Purcellville area in need of baked goods! Their customer service was impeccable and they won't disappoint. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Sweet Rose did it again! Second year in a row I’ve worked with them for my daughter’s birthday cake and they nailed it. Not only do they always do an amazing job, the cakes are delicious! We stop in frequently for their pastries and have never been disappointed. Thank you for helping make my 7yr olds birthday special!!!!

Stopped at this lovely bakery midway through a W&OD bike ride. I had a bacon and mushroom quiche and a medium coffee. The quiche was quite good, although it didn’t quite fill me after half of a long ride.

The cashier was wonderful and helpful. She asked how your ride was and seemed to be enjoying her workday. Another asked what i was looking for as i was looking through their display case for the third time.

I brought a couple of the double chocolate cookies home to the fam and they approved.

Excellent stop and plan to return.

Lovely shop, amazing coffee. I just had the best mocha of my life and it was iced too. It's about 85 degrees out and I came off the trail looking for water. The atmosphere reminds me of family get togeathers at the farmhouse. Wide selection of pastries and baked good. The coffee bar does not disappoint.

Special note for the kind and generous staff. It's an attitude you can't teach through mandatory training. It shows the quality of the people working here and the care they have for their craft.

Stopped in for the first time. Will not be the last absolutely the best cheesecake I have ever had!

Sat, 29 Sep 2018 -- 5 years ago we bought our Fuji bicycles in this location and now there's a bakery here!
*This is my first visit to this bakery and I am very impressed with how nice it's layed out in this historic Purcellville building.
*Very popular bakery, from what I've observed, situated at the W&OD Trail's end.

We were sent scrambling when our baker could not end up doing our wedding…5 weeks before the big day. We were lucky enough to find Sweet Rose Bakeshop. We were able to do an in-person tasting and test different types of cake, with various fillings and icing flavors. They helped guide us in our decision-making and made sure we were able to get exactly what we wanted. They were able to deliver and setup the cake at our venue, so it wouldn’t get messed up during transport. The cake turned out exactly as I envisioned and I’m so happy they were able to save the day. Every single guest was so impressed by the quality and taste of the wedding cake. A few engaged couples even asked for their contact information to use at their upcoming events. We will definitely be using Sweet Rose Bakeshop again!

The cake I ordered for my sister's 40th birthday was absolutely amazing. I gave them a picture idea of a very simple cake and Tanya took it and turned it into a beautiful and delicious masterpiece! She also took the extra step to have it delivered to our party venue and it was such a smooth experience. We will for sure be ordering from Sweet Rose again!

The black coffee is on point! The baked goods are fantastic! Cookies, cupcakes - you cant go wrong! All of it was baked well! I stop in anytime I am around!

Sweet Rose made the wedding cake and desserts for my daughter’s wedding in October. The cake was beautiful! The cake and desserts were delicious! They are amazing. Everything was wonderful. They made everything so easy by helping to pick desserts to delivering everything.

They exceeded my expectations with my daughter’s Wednesday and Enid themed cake. It was a huge highlight at her birthday party. Unbelievably detailed. Thank you!

The cinnamon rolls are delicious! The bake shop is located at the terminus of the Washington & Old Dominion Trail making it the perfect stop for a treat.

My daughter who is out of state called and ordered a gluten free cheesecake for a family birthday. It was ready on time and absolutely delicious. Cozy spot I would definitely visit again !

I ordered a cake for my friend’s birthday and it was absolutely STUNNING! The detail was incredible. It was chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and vanilla buttercream, absolutely delicious. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!

What a great find! We called last minute on a Sunday morning to see if they could squeeze in making us an apple pie for 2 hour later pickup. They did it! We got pie fresh out of oven and it was delicious. Appreciate them squeezing this in!! Really friendly service too!

This bakery is so nice and cozy inside. I ordered a cake and cupcakes for my grandson’s first birthday and they did an amazing job. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I’m definitely making this bakery my to go place now and they have delicious coffee too!!
