Satterwhite's Restaurant

Small local diner serves breakfast and lunch at 7 AM. Opens Tuesday through Sunday 7 AM to 2 PM. We walked in at 10:45 AM on a Saturday morning, the place was filled even the bar counters. The wait was short, no more than five minutes. The entire time when we were there, all tables were occupied and people didn’t have to wait for very long.
Food came very quickly and was decent. I ordered the Liver and Onion off their lunch menu, you don’t see this dish served at too many places. It came with two sides and a biscuit. The liver and onion tasted very good, but the liver was very gristly. The side of green beans was canned green beans, yuck. The side of French Fries was very good. My daughter had an order of Pancakes (x3) and two eggs. She wanted two Blueberry Pancakes and one plain, but she only received two Blueberry Pancakes when they brought her food, that was because our waitress wrote two Blue Pancakes on the ticket and forgot to mention about the third. I asked for mayonnaise and she forgot to bring it. She asked if I wanted more coffee, I said yes but I never got the refill. It was just one person, it doesn’t represent the service for the restaurant. Also they were super busy.
The price is very reasonable. If you just want a cup of jo, nice country breakfast, this will be your place. I would definitely going back. Five stars for the uniqueness of this restaurant.

Great old school diner/grandma's parlor look and feel. Was like eating with family!! They had a brisket special today and it was tender and juicy and the homemade yeast roll is tough to beat! Made myself a brisket and au gratin potato slider. To top it all off, I secretly witnessed the staff,without hesitation, helping someone who was down on their luck!! What a great example to all!! It's no wonder that the parking lot is full!! Keep up the great work!!!

I arrived after 9:30 and before 10am. This is not a big place but totally worth trying, I love great food and no nonsense atmosphere. This hits the mark.

Love, love, love this place!! Biggest Breakfast in Town is my usual go-to & is always fabulous, though everything I've had otherwise is also very delicious. Sometimes I get the breakfast and then take the next meal to go! If you sit at the bar and see all the food coming up off the grill, you may just want to order/eat everything you see...! Service is great and the staff are down to earth and super-friendly; the place is usually packed because it is so popular and there are some obvious regulars that love the place and the staff, who love them right back. I am from Danville and every time I go this place always feels and tastes like home.

I had biscuits and gravy with a pancake. Hands down, best biscuits and gravy I have had out, and the best biscuits I have EVER had!
Waitress was amazing! Who brings you a sweater when it's a little cold inside?
She did! AND she gave me choices!
She was quick to refill drinks and I will most definitely be back every time we come to town!

My family loves this place. Always very friendly, quick and efficient service, and quality food. We go for breakfast most often, but I also really enjoy the hot pastrami and swiss sandwich for lunch.

First visit to Satterwhites and it was terrific. It has a traditional diner vibe, great service and food. The scrapple was crispy yum and plan to return

We arrived here on a Sunday at 10:30 am, we found a parking spot 🅿 but it was almost full. We waited a few minutes to find a space. The attention is fast and efficient. I ordered some Greek eggs 🥚 with bacon and toast plus an orange juice 🍊. The order arrived quickly and it was delicious.

The food is good. The service is fast and friendly. You are in and out quickly. A++

Always good! The meat is cooked at the restaurant...you get real turkey and pastrami.

A small hole in the wall place, cozy, warm, welcoming and the food is excellent. Quality ingredients, well cooked, fast pleasant service. Highly recommended for breakfast.

What a cute little mom and pop shop. I had the create your own omelet. It was delicious. Our waitress Theraa was bubbly and attentive. We will definitely return.
