Fountain Hall

Our first time staying here, and it likely will not be our last. The proprietors were friendly, and left great directions for self check-in. We enjoyed a comfortable room on the second floor that was very clean and enjoyable. We liked being within walking distance of great shops and dining in town. There is some road noise from town traffic and a faint rumble of a passing train, but nothing that kept us from a good night's sleep. Overall, this was the perfect place to stay for our weekend in Culpepper for the air show!

Great place to stay. Easy check-in. Convenient parking. Huge historic building with lots of common area so you do not need to be stuck in your room. Easy walk or very quick drive to downtown.

Wonderful! My husband & I stayed for a family high school graduation. So cute! We stayed two nights and wished we stayed longer. Great location and walked to meet family at restaurants and brew pubs. LOVED Fountain Hall❤

This was our second stay at Fountain Hall and we are already looking forward to the next time we can visit. The house is warm and comfortable and our room was excellent. The hosts are friendly which is always a big plus. The grounds of the house are beautiful, the town conveniently walkable from the house, and the location is close to many other visiting options. We wish we could stay longer!

Steve and Kathi have got it right!! The attention to detail is superb and the rooms are immaculate! The home it's self is absolutely stunning and couldn't be more perfect for a B&B. The beds are amazing and the bathrooms are spotless and well equipt. Steve makes the most amazing pastries for breakfast which is also one more reason I love this place. My girlfriend and I have had a wonderful time and will be back! If you are thinking about enjoying Virginia Wine Country, this is a must for accommodations!

The service was excellent, the breakfast (especially the homemade croissant) is so fresh and delicious and the beds and bedrooms are so cozy and comfortable. This is are 3rd time and the Davis' are always warm and make you feel like family.

I have stayed here many times since 1997, for business and pleasure. Wi-Fi is excellent. The host are always quick to suggest just the right venue for meals & entertainment. Special requests are quickly and graciously accommodated. For a new understanding of what hospitality means, I highly recommend Fountain Hall!

My husband and I just returned from a lovely weekend in Culpepper where we were fortunate to be able to stay at Fountain Hall. The proprietors, Kathi and Steve, went above and beyond themselves to make our time there both memorable and enjoyable. The house itself is comfortable, well-appointed (we lacked for nothing!), and convenient to downtown Culpepper. We didn’t have a car and didn’t need one. Kathi even volunteered to pick us up at the Amtrak station, which is a mere six blocks from the inn, and Steve drove us back there at the end of our visit. I cannot say enough good things about either the house or its owners.

My husband and I were looking for a weekend get away. We were flexible on the location as long as it wasn't too far from our home. We looked at several bed and breakfasts before deciding to stay at Fountain Hall. We are very happy we chose Fountain Hall. This B& B has lots of historic charm! It's also located in downtown Culpeper, which is a town filled with quaint shops and historic charm. Our room had antique furniture and the bathroom was wonderful. We stayed in a room with a jetted tub and Victorian charm, including the toilet. The only drawback is the wall paper in the bathroom has an 80's feel, but it didn't detract too much from the bathroom's charm. This B & B also served one of the best breakfasts we've encountered. The owner is extremely friendly and accommodating. We will return!

Warm and friendly folk, and their 30 years of experience really shows in all the detail. Breakfast is not their big thing, but great fresh fruit and oatmeal hit the spot. The buidling is old, but well maintained. Some places are a bit cramped. Tight driveway.

My husband and I wanted to get a way for a long weekend. Really loved the house and close to walk to get food , shop and see a movie. Will go back!
