Sauson International Grocery

I absolutely love visiting Sauson. It’s so much more than a grocery store! The owner and the employees are incredibly gracious and welcoming. They always offer us tea and cookies to sample. They have the most incredible bread and my favorite kind of labneh, so I love to go stock up. I love to try their spices and teas and baked goods. Order a kabob while you’re there, they are made fresh and are delicious!

An incredibly delightful place to shop! I just found this store. I looked around and was almost out the door that the owner behind the counter called me: Lady, please come here! Don't leave, he said! He offered me in the most kind way and gesture a cup of tea and for me to have a homemade Persian cookie to go with my tea. I turned around and could not leave without being thankful for his generosity and the gentleman he was. i had the tea and cookie then he offered bread, meanwhile there were a lot of other people there which we engaged talking, so friendly and wonderful bunch of great people!!! Then I purchased the delicious bread, a box of cookies and 2 scrumptious all times Iranian ghormeh-sabzi stew!!!! It was dellllicious! and the chicken kabob! the rice was made as if it had jewels in it! it was so beautifully decorated and delicious looking! I highly highly recommend for you to just stop by you will not shop anywhere else all because of the amazing genuine generosity, hospitality, and kindness of Mr. Sauson!

The owner is so kind and welcoming. I only come occasionally, but I am always greeted warmly. The baked goods are delicious!

They have the best bread I have ever had! They bake it fresh right there. And also you can find all middle east stuff specially Iranian stuff.

If you still haven’t been to Sauson, it’s time you do it and order their Kebobs!!! They are so tender, juicy and honestly the best in Virginia! People working in there are so welcoming and nice. They have great variety of freshly baked goods and treats. Highly recommend! Must try for all Kebob lovers!

This Iranian store has the very best selection with prices I could not find anywhere else. The excellent customer service is fluent in Farsi! I couldn't be happier with the service I got here. I even found the Pomegranate molasses that I've been looking for! $3.99! They wanted $48. For the same item online! I am so relieved to have found this place with service I can trust all the way around. It truely is a gem.

The Staff are all very friendly and the products are good quality. The bread they make in house and the kebabs are absolutely delicious. The baked goods are also made in the store and it was hard to resist not buying one of each. I greatly recommend this store.

Very nice products, you can find anything you need i drive from winchester twice a month to get my stuff from there. very friendly i recommended.

After coming here for several years this place never disappoints. Although the food is absolutely incredible- the friendliness and hospitality of the owner keeps us coming back. Get the combo platter of chicken and kubideh- you won’t regret. Also, don’t hesitate to try any of the delicious Persian sweets. This market is a gem and we look forward to our next visit.

Very nice store! The owner is very kind. he has a great knowledge of herbal remedies. I was coughing for a long time and he recommended a remedies . It's about a month that I am taking this and I feel so much better. Thank you Mr. Rashid!! You've changed my life! i am so grateful!

Truly Amazing food! With the extra step to find the entrance - best kebabs, bread, rice, and everything really.

Finally a place I can honor my Middle Eastern roots and cravings with the most delicious Baklava and desserts. 10 out of 10 and very friendly employees too

Since 2005 I know this market and the owner. And as a person who did shopping from most of the Iranian groceries,I commonly witnessed full respect and kindness in Sauson market and mostly the prices are way far better than the others.Mr Rashid himself is a wonderful person who tries to be supportive somehow. However, there can be some disadvantages due to workers around there but during these years this market improves vastly and it’s not fair to judge the whole system with some minor problems which can be solved by mentioning to the owner. All in all the quality of the foods and traditional Iranian goods are very good and I hope people help this grocery market to improve by making fair critiques.

This is a Persian Food Market at its best and greatest. They always carry their items, you do not hear "sorry we are out". Agha Rashid is amazing who care about his customers and I feel I’m one of his family members because of the way he treats us. The staff is very helpful in answering questions. Kabobs are good. Bakery items delicious. Love the bread and everything have received recently from Iran. I just lOVE Sasan market.

This place is great- has a lot of variety. The place is cleaner than most other places around this area.

We went in for a couple of things, ended up getting more things we don’t see in other places. They did give an itemized receipt at the end, which is unique for these types of shops!

Sauson is lovely and the owners are so nice! Great assortment of spices and other groceries, and the fresh pastries are beautiful. I’m cooking curry tonight and was looking for some ingredients I couldn’t find at Safeway, and got everything I needed plus some gorgeous freshly baked naan. The parking situation is a little confusing but 100% worth it.

We love getting the fresh naan at this market, not to mention the delicious assortment of cookies. They even offer gluten free cookies that are wonderful. My new purchase today was a box of Shamshiri Persian tea bags. Delicious tea, not bitter, just wonderful.

They have Kale Pachè here on the weekends. The keababs are nice and fresh. Great market place for all your Persian ingredients. Bakery with fresh made bread. Good value for money overall.
