YaYa’s was recommended to me via someone who lived in Thailand and traveled all over south east Asia. So I had high expectations! It did not disappoint!
Ray and Steve behind the bar are amazing!!! I came for the food and stayed for the amazing bourbon, rye, and whisky selection!!! Will make an excuse to come back!!!

Some really great food! Forgot to take a picture of the sushi! Lots of great options. Love the orange chicken and Brussel sprouts. Nights can be pretty busy. Close seats but works out!

Loved this place! It doesn’t feel like Short Pump at all when you enter (which is a plus in my opinion). Fun atmosphere and cozy space.

There was a wait on Friday night, but it was worth it and we were able to grab a drink at the bar. The bartender made me a delicious mezcal sour.

The food was yummy - we got sushi rolls and the lettuce wraps. I’ll be back.

This is a home for me. The service is polite an prompt. The food is tradition with a street edge. You will have no problem finding something to delight your palate. Definitely the place for a nice date or after work rounds.

We are hooked on this cute spot. The food is DELICIOUS! The drinks are well made and have a nice kick! The service and atmosphere is always chill and pleasant. It’s a must try.

Always love coming here when I come to Richmond. The food is delicious. Our service has always been amazing. However, the last time we came, our server was not great. He wasn't attentive and was rushing his customers to turn his tables. It wasn't busy so I was unsure why he was treating his customers like that. Overall, it's just a cute vibe with good food.

I went here this past Saturday for the first time. I'm already, ready to return. My experience was amazing. I loved everything about YaYas. Thank you for the awesome food and service. But mostly, the food and Key Lime drinks. Yummy!!

I have been wanting to come here for a while and I am glad I finally made it. Service was fast and friendly. Food was good and the menu had so many options to choose from. We went with sushi and the curry puffs. Lots of cocktails on the menu it was hard to pick one! We really enjoyed the fun seating and atmosphere here. It looks like they might have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. We’ll definitely be back.

One of the best sushi restaurants around that also has an extensive full menu of delicious Thai food, hot pots and curry. They have the best happy hour and their speciality cocktails are delicious- my favorite is the smoky old fashioned.

We love this Thai restaurant. The price is reasonable and the place is really nice. We’ve been trying different Thai restaurants but this is our favorite, the food is delicious and the serving is big and the service is fast too. Food and drinks are really good.

Smaller than I expected inside, but unique seating and super friendly staff! I got a Thai Poke bowl and my daughter got crab fried rice. Both were great and the best part was my daughter couldn’t finish hers, so I got to! If I lived near by I would be a regular here.

Good ambiance with unique interiors, swings, and seating. The food was amazing with full of flavor. One of the good thai restaurants in local.
They also have a huge bar with a number of choices.

Today, I brought my wife to Yaya's, and here is my experience:

We are vegetarians, and they offer some options for non-meat eaters. The quality of the food is good, but I believe the main course (Pad Pak) left something to be desired in comparison with the starter (sweet potato rolls). The starter had the punch, but the main course didn't!

The service is good, I just thought they took a long time on the initial service. We had to wait a while for someone to come and show us our seats.

The environment is very well decorated, it looks like a beach decoration, and the music is good.

Price-wise, it's good at 50 bucks, and it feeds a couple comfortably. What appears to be rich is the drinks bar. They have many varieties.

In summary, the place doesn't offer many vegetarian options, and you may have to wait a few minutes for someone to show you your seat. However, the atmosphere is great, and we love the decor. I definitely recommend this place.

One of the best Asian cusine with tons of vegan and vegetarian options. Their cocktail menu is great too. Their seating arrangement is quite unique and impressive. The staff is friendly. This place is like a hidden gem next to regal cinemas. Ordered spring rolls, fried rice, veggie gyoza - fried and steamed both version and both were great. Vegetarian Maki rolls were also nice.

Best food in the area. Amazing dishes. Great service. Yes it is in a strip mall but could hold its own weight on Cary Street. Ver y nice decor. Well priced. Staff are very engaging and know the menu. You can not go wrong.

Went there for sushi and cocktails on my birthday last night. The cocktails were amazing! Super fresh and well balanced, quality ingredients, plus pretty. The sushi and food were also super tasty. I recommend the yayas roll. It had salmon tempura inside and filet mignon on top. The food took a while to come out, especially the sushi, probably because it was pretty busy inside. And that was just early on a Thursday night. So I would think weekends would be even busier and a reservation might be needed. But overall, great experience and definitely wanna go back soon.

Overall a fun, enjoyable place to eat with a lively atmosphere, friendly feel to the decor and helpful wait staff. Started with the fried Calamari and drunken fried rice for the table which were both excellent and well portioned. I ordered the Duck Curry for my main which had a lovely balance of smooth and heat for a duck curry, the Duck was cooked perfectly and the dish had lots of color. Good options for the cocktail, wine and beer menus. Would recommend and plan to visit again for the Softshell Crab Karee.

I've been here twice and it is a new favorite! The food was delicious and the vibe was awesome. I wish they had a Large Larb lettuce wrap entree. They are fabulous! The Thai tea is an awesome treat for non drinkers. The 10 cocktail "Crazy Rich Asian" is deliciously sweet and strong. Be careful. Now I have had the sushi and it was good but the drunken fried rice 👩🏾‍🍳💋👌🏾. I can explain how delicious the sauce they put on the rice is. I didn't want to stop eating it. I did try a rice dish without it and it could not compare.

I will be back but this place exceeded my expectations and made me say Cheesecake Factory who.
