Sherwood Regional Library

I love living in Fairfax County because they give us such nice libraries! Sherwood is a great library with so many resources for area residents. I usually go to John Marshall which is closer to me but I sometimes go to Sherwood with my friend who lives by there. They have lots of computers for people to use. Plenty of reading nooks and tables. They have old movies to rent on DVD (old school style!). They even have board games to borrow and a puzzle exchanged where you can bring a puzzle and take one with you!

The library does a wonderful job engaging with the community as I saw they provide free tax help. Such a nice thing to do! They also had a display to teach people about Hijabs and showing respect to those who wear them. Amazing and wonderful!

They also had this fun display of secret books with clues as part of a Valentines theme. So you can check out the book and not know what it is until you check it out and unwrap it.

Anyways, it's a happy place to be for everyone.

Great library with a lot to offer. Classes, events, story times in addition to a wonderful collection of books. Love the Tech Lab for kids upstairs as well as the used book store where you can find amazing bargains. Knowledgeable and helpful staff complete the picture!

On Wednesday November 22., 2022, I enjoyed the beautiful music at the Sherwood Hall Regional Library Farmers Market played by Arthur and Nancy Lisi. This market has many excellent vendors.

Plenty of community activities and programs. I really enjoy the area.

My wife and two teenagers were at Sherwood Library this evening and checked out some books. A clean, quiet, well stocked library with plenty of librarians there to help. Great public library!

I spent a few hours here and enjoyed my time here. It's a pretty small library but it's also cozy. The lighting is super bright and I like how the decorations and seats are laid out. There is a quiet room with a few chairs which was cool. I wasn't too crazy about the book selection but it's kind of expected from a smaller library. The volunteers are friendly and they have books, CDs, and vinyls for sale which I thought was kind of cool. Overall I think it's a good place to study and check out random books. I'd probably look to larger libraries if I was interested in doing serious research.

This is a great local library. It has ample parking, it is centrally located in a very populated area, and the children's reading room is fantastic. It is an enclosed space separated from the library by a fairly soundproof door, and it has its own bathroom with diaper changing area! This alone in my book is worth its weight in gold for parents of small children who want to get out of the house but don't want to bother the patrons of libraries who just go for some peace and quiet :-) The children's section contains many board books and several well-loved puzzles, plus two comfy couches.

Also, starting every May and continuing through the fall, there is a fabulous farmer's market in the parking lot of this library on Wednesday mornings.

Always one of my favorite libraries. I love the open space and the ease on moving about... lots of activities for all ages are posted- some thing for everyone.

The staff is knowledgeable & polite. They were very helpful in locating some books my son needed for a project. They even called Martha Washington library & placed some books on hold for us. We picked them up right away. My library card was no longer in their system but I was able to get a new one in about 5 minutes. Highly recommend.

Bring my grandkids here. They love to read and this Library is their favorite. Lots of books and plenty of room so that there are spaces between visitors.

My first choice of Libraries to visit when I am in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Librarian Monica is great! She is always very pleasant and is a real professional at what she does. Highly recommend this Library to everyone.

Wonderful library. Beautiful, clean, well organized, and peaceful. Perfect location with great customer service. Conference rooms are well kept for privacy.

Hours have been expanded, but a 30 minute time limit. Great collection of very cheap resale books on 1st and 2nd floor, just ask them.

Customers assistance are always so helpful with answering questions. I always enjoy my visit here and the various services that this branch offer its' customers. Great library.

This library is one of the best, I loved being able to use one of the private conference rooms.

Everyone here is so sweet, I did not get the name of the lady who helped me but she was amazing. I had to print 29 papers and I did it so easily with her help. Thank you!

I have been to Sherwood library three times and I have no complaints. The staff and very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this library to anyone.
