Sabal Palms Inn

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sabal Palms Inn during my visit to St. Pete, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations!

First, the fantastic beach location is unbeatable. Being just steps away from the beach made it even more relaxing. Its also in a cute neighborhood and beautiful homes in the surrounding area.

The cleanliness of the rooms was impeccable. It's evident that the staff takes great pride in maintenance. Speaking of the staff, they were phenomenal and always ready to assist with any requests.

One of my favorite parts about the inn is the full kitchen in the room. It made my stay feel like a home away from home, allowing me the convenience of cooking, especially eggs and coffee in the morning.

And let's not forget about the rates. I switched my stay to Sabal palms after an unpleasant stay at a nearby Inn. Considering the prime location, the cleanliness, and the exceptional service, the rates were very reasonable. I felt like I was getting incredible value for my money.

Those little place across the street from pass-a-grille beach is amazing. There's different, unique rooms in all shapes and sizes and sides of the establishment. 3 of the rooms look directly at the beach. Parking is technically plentiful. Once you check in, you can park just shoot anywhere on the island for free. The staff is extremely nice and helpful.

We love staying here! The staff is great, the rooms are clean. If you are looking for a convenient location to the beach and a very laid back, less touristy historical area, this is it. They have chairs, umbrellas, and bicycles for you to use, and parking is included.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were all friendly, professional & very helpful. The kitchen had what I needed to cook for the week. Clean room. Plenty of towels, plus beach towels & use of bikes or beach chairs. outside sitting areas are very nice. great little pool/ spa. the property was cleaned daily by staff. Only a few steps across the street to the sand. watch the sunset from the front porch if you don't want to cross the street. Two blocks to some great food. Local transport was easy to use & get around. Quiet & relaxing. Is on my list of a return spot. Thank you!

Nice hotel located on a quiet street across from the beach. Keep in mind I stayed there during the off season so that might be the reason it was quiet. Stayed in room #2. Nice view of the beach across the street. Nice pool and a grill that guests can use. Staff was friendly. No complaints.

We stayed 2 nights..it was clean and so cozy! Yes the ceilings on the ground floor are really low but that just adds to the coziness! It's updated and has everything you need. We bought steaks and grilled them on the grill they have ..dinner was much better than any restaurant. The front desk people are friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Nobody bothers you and housekeeping came and offered the vacuum and sweep..they were also amazing... and the hot tub is awesome..it's open all the time so you can get in and soak the day away ..great for stiff muscles after shelling for 12 plus hours! I loved this place so much I'm going back alone to spend the weekend while my other half is traveling for work...it's safe and you feel secure. The beach is a minute across the street..there's no condos or touristy places anywhere near you. They have free bikes to use..but if you can bring your own..do it..I was not able to find one of theirs that I could comfortably ride..bringing my own this time! I hate to give out a secret but I have too..this place is amazing. And then there is Baxter the cat who likes to visit...he was such a sweet cat..he was like the host ..he visited us and then moved on! I hope to see him again! Thank you Sabal Palms...I can barely wait to get there again this weekend!!!

The building is a little older and the rooms are differently spaced, but I found it charming, comfortable, eclectic and unique. And the large hot tub makes up for the lack of a pool. Who needs a pool when you're acron

I was informed ahead of time that the ceiling to our room would be low and they were correct but it's not uncomfortable. I'm 6 ft tall and had no problem using the facilities. I think the room itself was a good size at the very comfortable bed and a couch against the wall. The other room had a small kitchenette with cutlery and a small table for two. They are Adirondack style chairs out front even though you are across the street from the beach you can't really see anything but they do have chairs and free bikes that you can borrow. They don't have a pool they have a 4 ft deep large Spa. It can probably see six to eight people we just didn't know there was a timer switch on the wall to make the jets go. There's about six chaise lounges on the deck and then a table that accommodates for and there is a gas grill adjacent to the area that people can use. There's also a really nice wooden deck seating area behind the property close to the office that you can use if you are out grilling. In this part of Passe-a-grill, there aren't any beachfront properties. All the houses hotels resorts are on the other side of the street but it is a very non-busy Street and an easy walk. There's actually a beach walkway right at the end of 13th Street that you can take and then the ocean is just 70 feet away. We didn't get to really explore the local area because we had plans but I'd say it's a great place to stay and an even better location because this is the quieter side of St Pete Beach.

Just returned from our stay at Sable Palms. We arrived at around 10 am and parked right across from the hotel at the beach parking. $4 per hr to park at the beach. We relaxed on the beach and enjoyed the water view. At 12:30 I walked over and told them that we were here. She said our room was ready and showed me around. The room was small but very clean and had everything we needed. I LOVE this area with the ocean/river and great places to eat. The spa tub was fantastic! The whole place is kept up well and the staff is top notch. We will be back soon!

What a relaxing spot! The room and grounds were super clean & the staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved having the bikes available to ride down the beach. Also loved the full kitchen in the room so we didn't have to go out to eat for every meal. Gorgeous sunset views from the front of the property & the beach was right across the street. We love all three of the properties from this family of inns & have stayed at all of them. Could not ask for a better vacation!

Couldn’t have loved it more. RIGHT across the street from the beach entrance. Honestly even being across the street you feel more connected to the beach than in many of the big hotels down on St Pete. Fun little pool to pack all your friends into. Full size fridge to hold LOTS OF ICE. Full size oven to save money making frozen pizzas etc. beautiful view and the most incredible staff. So friendly and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back!!! We stayed in room 1 so we had a great balcony with a rail to eat dinner on and watch the sunset.

While the unit needs some updating (and those are planned), the staff is incredible, the location is perfect and the room is very comfortable. The pool is small, but quite nice and the complimentary use of bikes and beach chairs is amazing. The same company also owns 2 other nearby locations (that have been remodeled), but this place and these people wonderful! This is view from our balcony. Love it!

We had a one night stay. Hostess sweet and funny. Waterfront hotel right on the beach. It was cold weather, but you can swim in the gulf and get to heated pool in the hotel. Awesome feeling.
In the early morning, walk on the beach and get freshly brewed coffee in the little cafes.

Great little Inn, over all it was a great experience thanks to their helpful staff, their inexpensive room charges and that they don’t charge a Resort fee & cleaning fee which many other properties do. My room was very clean and just a few steps from the beach. I stayed at a room downstairs which have very low ceilings but being that I’m short it didn’t bothered me. The property is just 3-4 short blocks to restaurants. We will certainly be back.

Pass-a-Grille Beach is my happy place and I stayed here for the 1st time last week. It was absolutely amazing. Perfect location and amenities for the price. It honestly was way more fun than staying in a normal hotel! So quaint and lovely to be able to step oit the door and hear the waves. Already planning my next trip to stay at Sabal Palms!

We stayed here after some visitors we were expecting had to cancel their trip at the last minute and offered to let us stay with their reservation. If you're looking for a clean, affordable place to stay on the beach (and this is literally like 50 feet from the beach), this place is perfect. We live within an hour of here, but we're thinking of coming back and staying here once in awhile just because we liked it so much.

Pass a Grille is very quite with no buildings over 3 or 4 stories. There are no mini golf or go cart tracks here. Everything is very peaceful & the Sabal Palms Inn fits into that atmosphere perfectly. The staff was friendly & helpful but never intrusive. While the facilities may be a bit dated, the experience was wonderful. From the porch or the beautiful chairs in the front lawn area we enjoyed meals, wine, reading... Sunsets are gorgeous. Free use of beach chairs to take across the street as well as bicycles to tour the neighborhood's local bars, eateries, shops, & eclectic market a few blocks away. If you are looking for quite & old school beach life this is your place. And if you do need the tourist trap attractions, they are only a few miles to the north. Drive to the noise & then retreat to your peaceful oasis.

Charming hidden gem in Pass-a-grille steps away from the Gulf and a couple minute walk down the block from the Paradise Grille on the beach (best breakfasts) and Hurricane Restaurant. Lots of GREAT amenities for the price, very clean, cozy and comfy! The pool was so relaxing and it was like staying in mini apartment with the full kitchen and separate bedroom. Very friendly staff!
