LAMPS is amazing across the board. The doctors, nurses, the entire staff. I can't say enough about how wonderful the unit is as well as how cared for and understood they make you feel. Special shoutout to Amera and Dr. N.

I am using voice to text so please bear with any typos:

I have had horrible experiences with my last three hospitalizations in New York and at Mount Vernon INOVA, but Cornwall LAMPs at Inova Loudoun was an amazing experience. Safe, healthy, friendly, decent food, quality therapy options and programing all day and on weekends, access to games, journals, coloring, puzzles, and TV all day. Friendly medical and tech and security staff. I was sad to leave which shocked me. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in psychological distress.

The place is wonderful, the staff is amazing and I’m very glad that I was sent here. From the techs to the nurses, therapist and psychiatrist I got all the help I needed. Highly recommend

I was in here twice due to a "mental breakdown"!! My psychiatrist, Dr. Nallamatu was awesome, and all my nurses were great as well, especially David and Kara! Food could be better, and rules are a little to strict! In the end, this place did help me!

I think that this is one I stayed at for one of my stays. It was pretty good as far as behavioral health units go. The lady who brought me to the desk area listened to me when I told her I wanted to be called a different name. Of course, no one else really did, and another patient had that name or a similar name and so I dropped the idea. I got to lead a session in music. That was fun. I was not given much privacy. I'd go to brush my teeth or take a shower and someone would seem to show up right away and angrily ask what I was doing. But a lot of the staff seemed to be nice to me and the patients were not all bad. This was one of my favorite stays. I appreciated the fact that I was allowed to step out of the movement activities as those made me feel uncomfortable.

Place is very clean. Everyone gets his/hers own room with bathroom. Nurses are very good and caring. However, technical support people are not very nice nor polite. I got yelled at by Delanica ( a young girl who works there) just because I complained about food. At this point my depression got even worst. I could not believe what kind of people work there. Therapy was helpful. Doctors are also good.

Went in suicidle, came out suicidle. I told them I was not ready to leave. I was discharged with no long term house planning. They did not care. They wanted to free up space for the weekend. Pyschiatrist made my meds worse! If you want one on one counseling, you have to ask for it.
On the flip side, the nurses are super nice and caring and the facility is very clean. Its very cold. Bring sweatshirt and pants. Don't act too high functioning, or they will kick you out. Average stay is supposed to be 3-7 days.

Give a different diagnosis every time I've visited for the same skin condition for over a year all of which are now proven wrong. Incompetent and rude nurses and doctors except one or 2.

I was to bring my client to his appointment. I was not given any information by the facility he lives at. This campus is big so I literally had to go into offices asking if anyone had an appointment for him. I was directed to go to the main building to find out, the security directed me to the emergency room and the lady there was very nasty and rude. If you work in such an environment there is no need to have a chip on your shoulder thinking you are better than someone or there is no need for you to look down on someone because they have an “accent” or because of what they do. As a customer service person you shouldn’t treat people differently because they have a different color compared to you! Kindness always rules.

Awful. Mom was diagnosed by her internal medicine doctor and an outpatient psychiatrist as bipolar and paranoid schizophrenic. She was hitting my 83 year old dad in an assisted living center for refusing to take her medications. We had to obtain an Emergency Custody Order as mom refused to go to the ER. After a difficult hearing, the judge and county-appointed psychiatrist ordered mom for up to 30 days, possibly 60 if we file for that, observation. Cornwall's doctors, nurses, or the case manager never contacted me or anyone in my family with updates. After a mere WEEK, they made the decision to discharge, as mom was taking her meds (which was the norm in hospitals - she refuses to take them in the assisted living place) and she was diagnosed with "mild dementia" (which was not her original diagnosis by two other doctors). AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Have been unable to reach a doctor for 7 days now regarding a critical subscription. This facility does not care. Find another doctor
