Billy's Stone Crab

Had to return a second time in one week due to how awesome the food was. Service was great, and the scenery on the water was nice to see while eating dinner. Hog fish, and stone crab is worth the price. My wife had a "when Harry met Sally" moment with her stone crab meat twice that week. 😋

Love Billy's. Never miss an opportunity when I'm the area. Classic Florida feel in an area that seems to continue to succumb to developmental pressures. Reasonable prices. Food is always delicious and service has always been friendly and inviting.

I usually get the stone crab in season but everything I've had has been really good and appears to be fresh. I'd highly recommend

Got a pound of the medium stone crab and it was amazing. Got collard greens as a side and they were some of the best I've had. Key lime pie was on point too. Great view, great food, great live music. I will definitely be returning

Excellent choice for our Anniversary!

Went early for happy hour and we like the bar so we sat at the bar and were served by Rae who was terrific. We are not normally "early-bird" people but their early bird specials were unbelievable so we took advantage of those. What a great meal for a incredible price!
There was live music in another part of the restaurant. Rooftop bar also. Lots to choose from here - we will return.

The music up on the top bar over the river was really nice, the cocktails were delicious, -we didn't have food this trip bit it's always good. After a long walk on the beach collecting shells on shell key its always our secret place to go that we tell everyone we know about. ( so after all, it's not really a secret)

Great night. Happy hour beers for $2.50. Wings, peel and eat shrimp, bang dang shrimp tacos and music with great views and excellent service.

Nice little restaurant with a beautiful view of the bay. Our server Sandy was so caring and kind. Food was delicious. My wife got the prime rib sandwich and loved it. I got the chicken breast and it was so fresh - not fatty and high quality meat. Mashed potatoes were especially yummy. Happy hour deals are a nice bonus! The restaurant was been here for about 40 years and happy to see it is still going strong.

Great view and fun staff. Sat in the bar up top. Excellent place to view the water and islands. We even saw a manatee. The drinks were very reasonable. The coconut shrimp was excellent. The burger was ok but should have known since it was a seafood place. The stone crab looked amazing and wish I would have ordered that. The staff was friendly and kept our cups full. Will return

Super good service and good. We took 5 teenage college students and they ate everything!!

Grabbed a bite after our clear kayak excursion, which is located next door. Angelique who was tending bar,gave great advice on different locations to visit in the area, tried the Hog fish 🌮 👍

Loft bartender Maddie is amazing and very attentive!! Anticipates your needs and has a great personality! Kyle did his best to find us the exact shirt hubby wanted and Success!! What a crew they make! Peel and eat shrimp was superb and we had to have the Key lime pie and we were not disappointed!! Heading back to Missouri smiling all the way! TIL next year…

We visited today, 6/11/23, after a day at ft. Desoto. I thought this place was pretty great. The onion straws were tasty, and the scallops were cooked perfectly. Oh, and the wait staff was completely on point and very friendly. We'll be back.

We stumbled across Billy's Stone Crab while on a work trip to Isla del Sol. The atmosphere is laid back and the sea food selection is fantastic. My co-worker tried the hogfish and I grabbed the scallops which, in all honesty, were some of THE best I've ever had. Our server was fantastic with recommendations for what was in season and what wasn't and we both left completely satisfied with our choices.

Even better, it didn't break the bank!

There are technically two dining areas and a surprisingly fun rooftop bar so you've got plenty of options if you're looking for a casual meal, something a bit more formal, or just a drink while the sun sets and some tunes play in the corner, courtesy of the night's live musician.

Seriously-- this is my kind of place! Highly recommended.

We sat at the bar and Jack waited on us. The service was excellent. He didn't miss a beat. One of my friends ordered margaritas and thought they were divine. The place is known for the stone crab but pretty much anything you order is good. Jack recommended anything with grouper. I particularly enjoyed the pineapple slaw.

The views are fabulous and the marine decor makes you feel like you are on ship. It is a nice place for date night or for the family. It was a great experience, especially because of Jack. Give that man a raise!

Great local hangout with low prices and really good food 😊. Staff and locals are always friendly, and so is the owner.
Live music, the waterfront views, and all the scenic ambiance makes it unique.

The food was excellent. We tried the grouper sandwich, the hushpuppies, and salad. All were delicious and the service was wonderful. I will definitely return. There's a nice view to sit and enjoy.

Made a reservation for 21 people to celebrate my wife's birthday. Laurence was very accommodating; even as the number of guests swelled to 35. Every step of the way Laurence was congenial, helpful and kind. Morgan took great care of our friends and family and the event was magnificent.
Thank you to ALL the staff (especially the bartenders) who made the event a big hit...and made me look good!

The menu recommendations Billy provided were great, along with his attentive, friendly service. The coconut shrimp was also great! The Grouper nuggets and entree was fresh and delicious. The Hostess was so very kind and thoughtful anticipating our accessibility needs. Will definitely visit again.

We went for TRIVIA last night 4/23/24.
The food was great including tacos, crab cakes & oysters. THE drinks were EXCEPTIONAL !!!! Mitch, the bartender, was so attentive & talented! He made amazing dirty martinis , expresso martinis, chocolate martinis & other mixed drinks. We will be back again soon !

Billy's was great! Good food, great atmosphere right on the water. It seems this is where all of the locals go. I would recommend.
