This is an excellent seafood restaurant. They have great chef creations to choose from. They have great appetizers to choose from. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available. We had great service as well.

Outstanding! Highly recommend. Best meal we had in St Pete beach. I had the special: teriyaki glazed Chilean sea bass. It was cooked to perfection, came out steaming hot with delicious rice and broccolini and an amazing sauce that pulled it all together. My husband had the seafood trio of mussels, shrimp and scallops with pasta and lemon cream sauce. There were so many mussels and the shrimp and scallops were large and delicious. Everything cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, our server Josh was very attentive and knowledgeable. Great overall experience. Just wish we had room to try dessert.

Night out for my wife's birthday & Brian was my waiter. He was amazing! make sure you ask for him when you visit and the owner Mark was super friendly. I got a 16oz ribeye steak that was the most amazing best steak I have ever had.

First time Rockefeller, they were good. Scallop, shrimp risotto was stellar and so was the Lobster. Amazing food and atmosphere in a box car dinner

The staff at Mad Fish deserves special commendation. Their knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm for the menu were evident. The service was prompt and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience. The waitstaff's genuine friendliness and willingness to accommodate special requests made me feel like a valued dinner.

I must also highlight the wine selection it was very impressive, offering the perfect complement to the exquisite meal.

Lastly, the dessert selection was a delightful conclusion to the meal. Indulging in their decadent desserts was the perfect way to end an already extraordinary dining experience.

Just Wow, all sorts of mixed reviews online and we were unsure about going here, soooo happy we did, we had the special (fresh caught from sh and scallops with lobster ravioli....amazing. The grouper and shrimp with garlic risotto were spectacular....our server Klein sat and waited on us and made the whole experience amazing. He was ready for every question, very nice and attentive. Make a reservation and enjoy this must go to spot....Mad Fish you will not be disappointed.

Great cozy restaurant on St Pete Beach in a little retro diner. We’ve eaten here twice and they EASILY have the best steaks in St Petersburg.

Very tender meat and perfectly seasoned!

I felt inKLEINed to leave this review after Klein gave us excellent service and recommendations. Best seafood I had during my trip to the Tampa area, and I had a lot. Mad Fish is a great spot.

Driving by, you would not know that this place is here. It looks like an old Diner converted and un-assuming. My wife and I decided to give this place a try at the last minute and booked a reservation. We were early and was able to get in quickly.
I am glad we did! We requested outdoor seating as the inside is a little small (diner) and not too loud but loud enough. We wanted to have a quieter dinner.
We ordered salads as an appetizer so we didn’t try their offerings by the items looked good.
I ordered the Grouper and shrimp with spinach and creamy risotto. The dish had a tomato fondue. I thought originally I hat the fondue might overpower the fish but it was cooked perfectly! The plate presentation and temperature was spot on.
My wife had the Red Snapper with basmati rice and braised leeks. Again, cooked perfectly and delicious!
All of the wait staff and our server was great, courteous and paid attention to our needs.
Our only complaint, was that we waited a little long for our food, about 40 minutes. The waiter did come and let us know that the food is coming. Once we tasted the food, we quickly forgot about the wait! Good food is always worth the time it takes to prepare it.
The food was fresh and prepared right! If we had drinks (we don’t drink) or appetizers or had friends, the time might have not been a problem. I still gladly give this 5 stars and we will return again.

This restaurant was a great choice! The menu had great options but not an overwhelming amounts of items. Everything we tried we well above my expectations. The seafood was prepped perfectly. The meat was so tender. I filled up on apps before dinner even came but devoured it upon arriving home. Superb! Staff was friendly and gave great suggestions. Owner was on site and so welcoming. I would recommend this to any locals as well as visitors as a number one dining experience in st. Pete’s. We had reservations at Maritana and this place. And it did not disappoint! Ordered the rack of lamb, beef tenderloins, baked oysters, and shrimp with scallop risotto.

Phenomenal experience at MadFish tonight! The chateaubriand is Devine and the wonderful Klein took great care of us with his wine suggestions and banter. It was truly the perfect anniversary night!

Best Beach food. The owner is impressive and makes sure everything is top notch. Will definitely support this establishment in the future.

We have eaten at Mad Fish many times. Love it every time! Bryan was our server, and he is excellent. I have had the Drunken Shrimp, and my husband had the Shrimp & Grouper. Both are excellent. This is a favorite place for us at the beach.

Our server, Sierra, was amazing, friendly, fun, and very accommodating! The flash fried Brussels sprouts were delicious, and my husband enjoyed the seafood chowder. The only glitch in our fabulous meal (which a runner brought to the table, not Sierra) was that my seafood trio over linguine with a lemon butter, toasted caper sauce, arrived with a tomato sauce with very little flavor. As soon as Sierra found out, she called over the manager, who whisked the bowl away and a few minutes later, the correct entree appeared. It was everything I had hoped for! All of our table enjoyed the food and service, and both Sierra and the manager bent over backwards to make sure we enjoyed our experience there. From my observations, the other servers also made a big effort to ensure the patrons loved their meals. Fair warning - it is very small, so make reservations!

We recently just moved to St. Pete & we have passed Mad Fish many times, and tonight we finally stopped in & WOW!!!!!! The service was impeccable (Thank you Josh) and the food was outstanding! We had the Drunken Island Shrimp appetizer (you must dip the bread in that delectable garlic white wine sauce) then chef’s Seabass feature & the Grouper & Shrimp- unbelievable!!! We met the owner Mark who was beyond hospitable & he has raised the bar on the creativity of the menu as well as the ambiance & level of service in the area. Mad Fish is a MUST for anyone visiting as well as locals!!!! It’s a fine dining experience meets beach hangout vibes! We will definitely be regulars at Mad Fish :)

This is one of the best meals I’ve had in Florida and certainly the best meal I’ve ever enjoyed on any Pinellas beach. I never dined here with Chef Oliver so I can’t speak to what happened here before last week. That said, the new owners and new chefs (Chef Sean especially—food made with heart!) are On Top of It. Our server Klein was polite, attentive, welcoming and warm. He didn’t miss a beat! I would share a photo of our meals but we were so excited we ate them. The scallops and shrimp special (with lemon and cheese risotto) was nuanced and delicate and amazing. The filet was incredible. Perfectly prepared. I was concerned that the key lime pie would be gentle for tourists—not here. Their key lime is authentic and packs a punch! It is aggressive as it should be. Crème Brûlée was just as it should be as well—speckled with vanilla beans. I was so excited about this meal! We had such a good time with the new owners, servers and chef. It’s a whole experience here, not just a good meal.

Second time here despite being in St. Pete since 2010 & all I can say is, WOW. Truly the best food in Pinellas (& Hillsborough) county! This chef is legit top notch. You can tell each plate he creates is a masterpiece near & dear to his heart (but steered to awaken every taste bud). Truly a divine flavorful dining experience.

Mad Fish was excellent! All dishes were top notch. They allowed substitution without hesitation. Sierra was our server. She was a delight. Everyone was super friendly. Would highly recommend and will return. 5 Stars!

Came here with friends and got seated inside which they mentioned was rare without a reservation. The waitress mentioned there was only one tbone left so I jumped all over it. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The shrimp appetizer was delicious as well and the creme brûlée cheesecake was the perfect dessert. I’ll be sure to recommend this place.
